Chapter 210: A Dungeon Break the size of a continent! Seraphin Lin, The Queen of Seas, Gathering of King Candidates at the Central Plains
"What happened?" Caelus asked with a frown.
"A dungeon opened up in the Central Plains," Lyra said.
"It’s massive. Almost the size of an entire continent." Lyra showed him the display she was holding.
"What?" Caelus stared at the screen with a confused look.
He saw a massive red gate in the sky. It was huge and looked like it was on the edge of breaking.
"How can a dungeon open and break at the exact same time?"
Dungeon breaks rarely happened. They usually only occurred when there was no activity inside. As a Dungeon Master, his own dungeons had never broken because they were always active.
"I think this is from the Upper Expanse," Lyra said with a grim expression.
"What is a dungeon from the Upper Expanse doing here? This world isn’t strong enough to handle its power."
"That’s why it is so big. The people of the Upper Expanse live in a higher realm," Lyra explained. "The monsters might be small to them, but to us, they are giant."
"Even a small slime from there would be huge here."
"Hm." Caelus nodded in understanding.
----
In the Central Plains, everyone was panicking.
Orion Vance stood with the others from the Holy Church. He stared at the gate with a dark look on his face.
"You should stream this for more publicity. Clearing this dungeon might help you pass Caelus Kross," Stephen, a burly man, suggested.
Orion nodded. He had seen Caelus’s true might, and he refused to lose to him. If he couldn’t beat him in raw power, he would beat him by becoming the King. If he became the King, Caelus would have to obey him!
Just then, a lady in a princess dress appeared, holding a delicate umbrella.
"Well, well. If it isn’t Orion." The lady was Mint Aurelius from the Aurelius Kingdom. She was the older sister of Princess Bubblegum.
"Princess Mint," Orion greeted her. "Are you also here to stream and prove your worth?"
"Maybe," she said with a smile. "What is it to you, Orion Vance? You are worthless in my eyes."
"I only care about beating Caelus Kross," she added. "He is my fated rival. Only he can give me a good battle." She let out a soft chuckle. "Recently, I found a spatial fissure that gave me a Divine Halo. I believe I won’t lose anymore," she said with a sneer.
Orion just stayed quiet.
The Divine Halo was just a decoration here in the middle expanse. That was what Mark Twilight, the head of the Holy Church, had once told him. Mark had said it served a greater purpose, like leaving this world. Orion didn’t quite understand what that meant.
Suddenly, a new person arrived. She had blue hair and a very calm expression. She stared deeply at the gate in the sky.
"Danger," she simply said, catching everyone’s attention.
"Hey, Seraphin!" Seeing her, Mint looked thrilled. She ran forward and hugged Seraphin Lin.
Seraphin Lin was the Queen of Seas. She was the young powerhouse who once stopped a massive tsunami from swallowing the continent.
"Umm..." Seraphin let out a soft sound and gave Mint a blank stare. "Let go of me, Mint," she said in a lazy, deadpan voice. "You are heavy."
"No!" Mint replied with a happy smile. "You are so cute when you act like this."
"By the way, the Water Dragon Soaring the Heaven skill you gave my sister has been very handy. When are you going to give me one?"
"Both of you, stop it," Orion sighed. "We are here for a raid."
It wasn’t just them. The Player Association, major guilds, and the Holy Church were all there for the dungeon break.
"It looks like most of the King candidates are here," he added.
Seraphin Lin was, without a doubt, the strongest person present. She was currently radiating a Crown-rank aura.
Just then, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up. To their shock, they saw the red gate cracking open.
"Everyone, get ready!" Orion shouted. He quickly prepared for battle and turned on his live stream.
"Hey, Lin-Lin. You should start streaming too. You need to earn more King’s Valor points," Mint told Seraphin.
Seraphin just shook her head with a bored look. "I don’t care about that."
"Fine." Mint sighed and turned on her own stream. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Viewers quickly flooded into Orion and Mint’s streams. They immediately began earning King’s Valor points. Of course, they couldn’t reach the 1,000 points Caelus had earned so quickly. He had gotten his by shocking the world with his true identity.
BOOM!
The sky shattered. Beasts the size of buildings and mountains began dropping from the gate. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
The instant Orion and Mint felt their auras, their faces went pale.
"This is... Crown II?!"
It wasn’t just them; everyone else was just as shocked. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Seeing this, Seraphin Lin finally looked serious. "What is the Upper Expanse thinking?"
"What is this...?!" Stephen couldn’t believe his eyes.
As soon as he spoke, a sharp whistling sound cut through the air. Stephen’s body split in two, and he died in an instant.
"Stephen!" Orion cried out. He looked up at an eagle-like beast the size of a skyscraper.
It was a Crown II monster. Orion shivered in fear. He was going to die here!
The beast flapped its wings again, launching a massive wind blade straight at Orion. It was moving too fast to dodge.
Clang!
Before the blade could hit him, a thick barrier of water blocked the attack.
"Run away, kiddo," Seraphin Lin said in a bored tone as she released her powers.
Orion and Mint stood frozen in shock. She was unleashing Crown II power!
She waved her hands, and a massive water dragon surged forward. A terrifying roar echoed through the air as the dragon wrapped tightly around the eagle. Seraphin clapped her hands shut. The eagle burst into blood, which was instantly sucked into the water dragon.
BOOM!
As if going through a breakthrough, the water dragon grew golden armor. Its power spiked dramatically.
"Is one dragon enough?" Seraphin looked at the swarm of beasts pouring from the gate, and her expression darkened.
Unless a Crown III powerhouse showed up, things were going to end very badly.
Just then, a bright light flashed across the sky. The next instant, several glowing solitaire cards appeared above the swarming beasts. They were large enough for everyone to see.
"What is that?" Mint gasped.
"Don’t worry," a calm voice boomed. "It’s just a small trick of mine."
As soon as the voice finished speaking, the whole world flashed black and white. An immense power swept across the entire continent. Every single beast that had spawned from the gate instantly exploded into a mist of blood.
Everyone gasped in shock.
Then, they heard the sound of footsteps calmly walking into the area. They all turned to see a handsome man with a lean build stepping forward. He was staring up at the red gate with a very casual look on his face.
The people in the area, along with the entire world watching the streams, spoke in unison:
"Player 555, Caelus Kross!"
Seraphin Lin raised an eyebrow as she looked at him. "Crown II," she mumbled. "Not bad."
At the same time, Caelus noticed her looking at him. He turned toward her and completely froze sensing something from her.
