Chapter 344: Hero Or Monster (2)

Chapter 341

"You will pay for these atrocities with your life! If no one else makes sure of it, then I believe Sir Flame certainly will. He will make sure you pay for this great crime with your life!"

"Enough of your yapping."

Ronan said as he rubbed the side of his ear as though he had just been forced to listen to a pile of nonsense.

Then he turned his gaze toward her.

His voice came out cold, chilling, and strangely amused.

"What? Do you think I’m scared of him?"

"Do you think I’m afraid of Flame?"

A faint smile spread across his face.

"Now that’s where you’re greatly mistaken."

"I don’t need the help of my guild to reduce this entire guild to the ground."

"And I certainly won’t need it to kill Flame and anyone else foolish enough to stand against me."

He spoke with such confidence that the woman’s heart quivered violently.

Her eyes widened before she gritted her teeth.

The flames surrounding her whips surged higher, roaring with greater intensity as she charged forward.

Ronan watched her approach with a gentle smile.

Then his swords came together, forming an X.

He spoke once more.

"And as for your other concern..."

"I don’t feel any pity toward any of you."

"Why should I bother at all?"

"After all..."

"You are all far too weak."

The moment those words left his mouth, he swung both swords.

A brilliant purple X shot forward at an unimaginable speed.

Before the woman could even attempt to defend herself, the attack had already passed through her.

For a brief moment, nothing happened.

Then a crimson X-shaped wound appeared across her body.

Her eyes widened.

Blood erupted outward.

Her arms and legs separated from her body while a massive X-shaped cut split across her chest.

Her eyes trembled with despair and rage one final time before the light within them faded completely.

She was dead.

One of the strongest heroes present had died so effortlessly.

The remaining heroes felt their hearts sink.

If even she had been killed so easily, what hope did any of them have?

Yet they couldn’t simply sit down and wait for the monster before them to grant them death.

So they fought.

And the battlefield became a true hell.

Ronan Steele moved swiftly through their ranks.

Unlike before, however, he wasn’t interested in killing them quickly.

He wanted them to suffer.

And suffer they did.

Agonizing screams echoed endlessly through the ruined guild grounds as the remaining ten heroes were sliced apart bit by bit.

Their desperate cries filled the air.

Yet Ronan didn’t kill them.

Nor did he allow them the chance to end their own lives.

It was as though he wanted them to experience the purest form of suffering before death finally arrived.

After a while, he began dicing them apart piece by piece.

Eventually, all of them died.

All except one.

The lone survivor looked more like a corpse than a living human.

The battered hero stared at Ronan, whose boot was firmly pressing down on his neck.

After struggling for several moments, he forced his mouth open and spoke.

"Tell me... why?"

"I respected you, Ronan Steele."

"I respected the Tryst Guild."

"I respected the Fire God."

"So why?"

"Why would you do something so inhumane?"

"Why?"

His gaze contained genuine confusion.

He truly couldn’t understand it.

Why would one of humanity’s strongest heroes commit acts more fitting of a monstrous beast?

Ronan stared down at him.

There wasn’t a trace of pity or compassion in his eyes.

Only darkness.

Only indifference.

"The reason is pretty simple."

"Your guild leader dared to raise his blade against me."

"You all are merely paying the price for his transgression." ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

A cruel smile appeared on his face.

"And besides..."

"I’ll be sending him to join you soon enough."

The man’s eyes widened.

Before he could say anything else—

Slash!

His head was severed cleanly from his neck.

The final survivor of the Flame Guild had fallen.

The Undying Flame watched the scene in silence.

His eyes slowly closed.

His lips pressed into a thin line.

Around him, every remaining member of the Flame Guild had gone pale.

The monstrous slaughter they had just witnessed left them shaken to their core.

At the same time, they knew exactly what their guild master was planning to do next.

Surely there was no way he would let this pass.

And they were right.

The surrounding temperature suddenly began rising at an alarming rate.

Heat waves spread through the area.

The hearts of the guild members trembled in shock as they hurriedly retreated away from the Undying Flame.

Then—

Flame’s eyes snapped open.

Crack!

The video device in his hand shattered.

A second later, it melted into molten liquid.

The Undying Flame’s expression resembled that of a devil emerging from hell itself.

His hair floated upward as blazing flames roared around him.

Waves of scorching heat poured from his body, melting the very ground beneath his feet.

Flame gritted his teeth.

Then he spoke.

"Don’t follow."

After saying those two words, he kicked off the ground.

Boom!

Fire exploded around him.

His body shot into the sky like a meteor.

His speed surpassed that of a jet aircraft as he tore through the air with terrifying velocity.

The nearby guild members suffered painful burns simply from the residual heat pouring from his body.

Despite retreating as far as they could, they still felt the unbearable temperature radiating from his rage.

Fear and awe filled their hearts.

There was no doubt about it now.

One of the guild members swallowed hard before speaking in a grave voice.

"Sir Flame is angry..."

His expression became extremely serious.

"Really angry."

Meanwhile, the Undying Flame continued racing toward the middle of the sea where Arc was located.

The more he thought about the terror...

The despair...

The pain...

The deaths of his subordinates...

The hotter his flames burned.

The faster he flew.

"I am going to kill him."

The Undying Flame’s voice trembled with boundless fury.

"I will burn him alive."

"And I will make him suffer the most gruesome death imaginable."
