Ren and Axel’s groups headed to Bernard and the others. When they met, they didn’t say anything, but they shot each other angry glares.
Bernard ordered his people to collect the beast cores and bring home those who fell on the battlefield.
After that, they returned to Northvale Village.
"Thank you for helping us eliminate the magical creatures, honored guests," Bernard said with a soft smile on his face.
They were currently in the village square. The quest was completed, so it was time to hand over the reward.
"This is your payment and your share of the beast cores." He gave them an envelope containing money.
"Thank you, Village Head." Even though she was rich, Virelia still received it with a happy expression.
Axel and his group didn’t say anything.
They were still furious with him since he had ruined their plan.
"We apologize for any shortcomings in our hospitality. We hope you can forgive our mistakes." Bernard wanted them to leave without holding any hatred or anger toward his people.
It would be a huge loss if their organizations blacklisted their village.
"We also apologize for any inconvenience we caused during our stay." Virelia was aware that they had caused him trouble before.
Axel and his group said nothing again.
"Please, be careful on your way home." Bernard wished them a safe journey.
"Then, we will take our leave." Virelia stored the beast cores in her space ring.
She would share them with Ren and the others later.
"Thank you for bringing peace back to our village."
"Thank you for avenging our fallen brothers and sisters."
"Thank you for everything you have done for us. We will never forget this."
One by one, the villagers thanked them.
"Goodbye, everyone!" Virelia bid farewell to her subordinates. "Don’t forget to keep training."

As he watched them leave, Bernard let out a sigh of relief because he was finally free from all the problems that had been weighing him down for the past two months.
"You guys remind me not to request help from the Nexus and Aether organizations at the same time again." Bernard didn’t want the same thing to happen again.
"Alright." His people replied in unison.
Once they were out of the village, Lily shifted into her partial transformation and kicked Axel’s face hard.
Boom!
Axel slammed into the ground and rolled several meters.
"Axel!" Jax and the others rushed toward him and helped him up.
"Bitch! I will kill you!" Axel’s face was red from anger.
He had failed to kill Ren, and here, a woman dared to kick him.
"Zara, you stay there and protect David." Ren’s ears transformed into those of a tiger, and a tail appeared behind his back.
"Alright." Virelia agreed right away.
David was still in a weak state, so he needed protection.
"Die!" Lily flew toward them with anger burning in her eyes.
Jax shot a sand ball, but Lily could avoid it.
When Axel and the others were about to attack her, Ren unleashed his Roar of Dominance ability, shaking their souls and shattering their magic before it could fully materialize.
Elara and Lily didn’t waste the opportunity.
Elara activated Wings Tempest while Lily used the Dive Strike skill. Axel, Rian, and Jax were thrown into the air.
Before they fell to the ground, Ren unleashed the Tiger Leaps skill and attacked them with his sharp claws.
Their jackets were torn, and their blood sprayed like falling rain.
Axel and his group rose to their feet and shot their magic. Several small holes appeared on the ground, and the sound of falling trees filled the air.
Even though it was five versus three, Ren’s group had the upper hand in the fight. Axel and his lackeys didn’t have good teamwork, so they could not handle Ren’s group.
*Whoosh...
Lily made her move without hesitation the moment she saw Axel being sent flying by Ren’s powerful kick.
She grabbed him with her talons and shot high into the sky. Then she dove downward at extreme speed.
Her wings were tightly folded as they descended like a meteor. Just before hitting the ground, she released him and flew back up.
Boom!
Axel’s body slammed into the ground, breaking several of his ribs and creating a crater.
"Axel!" Rian and the others rushed toward him with worried expressions.
Axel didn’t respond since he had fallen unconscious.
"Don’t worry. He won’t be alone. You will suffer the same fate." Lily would not go easy on them, as she hated them just as much as she hated Axel.
"Die!" they roared as they unleashed their magic.

In less than a minute, they were beaten nearly to death and fell unconscious.
Lily walked toward David and said, "David, we have beaten them half to death."
"Great!" David answered weakly.
At this moment, Cassandra watched them with a happy grin on her face. She had seen everything Axel’s group had done, so she was satisfied with their actions.
"Hmm?" Cassandra was startled when Ren suddenly walked toward Axel.
’What is he going to do? Is he still not satisfied with venting his anger?’
The moment she saw him taking Axel’s space ring, she almost burst out laughing.
’He is really something.’
She had never expected him to take Axel’s space ring.
"What are you doing, Ren?" Elara asked as she approached him.
"I’m looti-"he stopped his words halfway and corrected it. "I’m taking my spoils of war."
"War?" she tilted her head in confusion. "But this is not a war."
"It’s just a saying. Don’t think too much about it." There were two reasons why Ren decided to take Axel’s space ring.
First, Axel was a lightning mage, and lastly, he seemed quite rich. Of course, he knew some people would detest his actions, but he didn’t care about it.
He believed other people would take it if he didn’t take his space ring.
As someone who beat him, he would not let others take benefit of his actions because he had used his energy to defeat him.
"Elara, why don’t you take his space ring?" Ren pointed his right index finger at Rian. "He is a light mage, just like your mother. Maybe you can find light spells there and some money to buy ice cream."
"Ice cream? Light spells?" Without thinking twice, Elara rushed toward Rian.
Ren’s lips curled up into a smile when he saw her cute expression.
"What are you doing?" Lily shouted.
"We are taking their space rings as compensation for causing trouble to us," Ren replied. "Lily, come here and take one as well."
"They are looting Axel’s group stuff?" Lily’s eyes suddenly sparkled. "I’m coming."
A moment later, the trio headed to where David and Virelia were.
"David, here." Lily handed Jax’s space ring to David.
David took it with a happy face.
"Zara, here is your share," Lily said.
"I don’t want it." Virelia shook her head.
"What?! You don’t want it?" Lily said in surprise.
"Lily, have you forgotten that she is rich?" Ren was not surprised, as he had already guessed it. "I’m sure nothing inside it interests her."
"Oops! I forgot!" Lily replied. "Then, let’s share what’s inside this space ring later."
"Alright. Let’s go back now," Virelia said. "We need to report to our organization."
"Un." Ren and the others nodded.
