Reiji stared at his stats. He could already feel his body becoming much stronger and lighter than before.
But he knew this wasn’t enough. He had only managed to catch the ogres off guard.
If all six attacked him at once, the fight would become much harder.
Reiji’s noticed something different. ’A new skill...? Wait... what happened to my Dominance Physique skill, System?’
Ding!
[The skill was permanently destroyed as a side effect of activating the Innate Skill: Overload.]
Reiji’s eye twitched.
’So when you said you saved my ass, you actually meant you took something in return... what a cheapskate.’
Ding!
[Correction: It was the only suitable skill for overload.]
"..."
Reiji clenched his teeth.
"Very well then... Add 30 points to Strength, 20 to Stamina, 5 to Perception, and 5 to Intelligence."
He knew that without Dominance Physique, his body would no longer be able to withstand reckless strain like before.
Ding!

The creatures all snapped their heads toward Reiji, staring at the small creature that had just killed six of them.
Though they could sense the menacing aura radiating from him, their rage had already clouded their judgment.
"Grrrrhh!!!"
They all roared in unison, their red eyes glowing even brighter as they charged forward.
Reiji narrowed his eyes and charged forward as well.
The rocky ground beneath his feet cracked apart from the explosive force.
But unlike before, Reiji didn’t recklessly rush straight into the ogres.
Without Dominance Physique, his body no longer had the unnatural stability it once possessed. With his current speed, one wrong movement, one badly timed attack, and he might tear his own muscles apart or lose control of his footing.
So before reaching them, Reiji decided to move first.
While still dashing forward at terrifying speed, he twisted his body midair and swung the Soul Torture Blade before the ogres could even enter his range properly.
SLASH!
A crescent-shaped wind pressure exploded outward.
The nearest ogre’s eyes widened as its arm flew into the air alongside a spray of blood.
BOOM!
Reiji landed heavily on the ground and instantly slid backwards several meters, his shoes grinding violently against the rocky floor.
’Tch...!’
His arms went slightly numb from the recoil alone.
Without Dominance Physique, controlling this much power was far harder than he expected.
Ding!

Reiji stared at the system notification.
’I thought this weapon effect was just a sham since it never really told me things like this before...’

"Grrrrrrhhhhh!!!"
The creature whose arm had just been severed by Reiji screamed in agony and rage.
It locked onto Reiji and leaped with terrifying force. Even the ground beneath its feet cracked apart.
"Grrrrhh!!"
It raised its massive arm upward, ready to squash Reiji like a bug.
Reiji could feel the pressure coming from that one arm alone and immediately dodged.
BOOM!
The ground where Reiji had been standing moments ago exploded, sending rocks and dust flying everywhere.
When the dust finally cleared, the creature stood inside the massive crater it had just created.
It raised its head, expecting to see the little human reduced to blood and flesh.
But there was nothing there.
Even the other giant ogres were surprised.
"Looking for me, you ugly bastards?!"
Reiji shot forward like a blur, catching the giant ogre inside the crater completely off guard.
He stabbed it in the eye.
Before it could even scream, Reiji used the momentum to drag the dagger upward, ripping open the monster’s head before slitting its throat in one smooth motion.
Ding!

Reiji let out a long breath.
"Five more left."
Then he rushed forward again.
The creatures immediately snapped out of their shock as they tried to attack the little human approaching them.
The giant ogre closest to him raised its massive hands and slammed them into the floor.
BOOM!
The ground started cracking at a visible speed.
Compared to the ogre’s speed, its strength was terrifyingly high.
The cracks spread in a straight line, moving like a snake racing toward Reiji.
Reiji saw this and instead of panicking, he pushed even more speed into his legs.
Just before he reached the breaking point of the ground, he leapt upward.
The giant ogre looked confused for a split second, but before it could react, Reiji twisted midair and delivered a powerful kick straight to its head.
BOOM!
The ogre crashed heavily onto its back.
Reiji landed on its body, without stopping, he used the same momentum, jumped forward, and drove the Soul Torture Blade down into the ogre’s head with full force.
*Spurt!*
Blood sprayed like a fountain as the creature twitched violently.
Two ogres rushed at Reiji from behind while the remaining two charged from the front.
They were trying to trap him.
"Dumbasses."
Reiji escaped using the wide open space on the right side, running around the room.
Not because he was trying to look cool, but because he still couldn’t properly control his speed yet.
The giant ogres stared at him in confusion as he ran laps around the chamber.
Then Reiji finally stabilized himself. But he didn’t let himself rest. He was going to catch them off guard again.
Instantly, he shot forward.
His palm slammed into the stomach of one ogre.
"Soul Torture Flame!"
BOOM!
An amber flame exploded out of Reiji’s palm and completely enveloped the ogre.
"Grrrrhh!!!"
The creature screamed in agony as the effect of the Soul Torture Flame took hold.
It wasn’t the physical fire burning its body that made it scream.
It was the flame that was slowly torturing its soul.
The three ogres that were also charging forward stopped abruptly as they backed away from the burning ogre.
They didn’t know why, but that flame was no joke.
A small smirk appeared on Reiji’s lips.
He didn’t think the flame would have such a strong effect on the ogre because of the rank difference, just like the skill information had stated.
But seeing this now, he understood that getting hit by Soul Torture Flame was no joke.
He couldn’t help but shudder at the thought of the system sending him into the Soul Torture Chamber.
He quickly pushed that terrifying thought away and shot forward toward the remaining three ogres.
He didn’t give them any chance as they tried to run away from him.
Besides, they had only been born today, so they had very little fighting experience.
The three ogres tried to escape, but it was useless.
Reiji sliced through them one after another, severing their heads from their bodies in quick succession.
Soon, the corpses of the three ogres lay scattered across the floor, while the giant ogre burning from the Soul Torture Flame had already turned into ash.
Ding!

Reiji stared at the system interface in shock.
He didn’t expect himself to level up again so quickly.
Still, leveling up wasn’t a bad thing, so he wasn’t complaining.
And he had also gained a new skill.

[Info: A skill that grants overwhelming physical strength to the Host. Temporarily increases Strength by +30 at the cost of greater physical strain. 2 Mana will be consumed every second while the skill remains active.]
"This skill is actually useful."
"It would boost my strength enough to keep up with my speed. At least stabilizing my body won’t be as difficult anymore."
Reiji muttered to himself.
He couldn’t wait to test the new skill out.
Then he left the area and ventured deeper into the dungeon.
Along the way, he killed some slimes, goblins, and hellhounds, but they didn’t give him much EXP compared to the earlier ogres, dungeon anomalies, and the hellhounds from before.
As he continued forward, he soon arrived in front of a massive green door.
He stared at it silently for a moment.
The heavy pressure radiating from the door made him shiver slightly.
He couldn’t help but recall the events of the Silkweaver Trial and the current Undead King’s Palace.
Reiji let out a long breath.
"Let’s get this over with."
Then he pushed open the door and walked in.
