Reiji took out the hoodie filled with holes from the slime fight and put it back on, covering part of his face.
Then he tightened his grip around the Soul Torture Blade and slowly walked forward.
"This..." Reiji stood before the boss room entrance.
Well, not exactly an entrance.
The wall was riddled with holes of every size, big and small, clustered so tightly together that anybody with trypophobia would definitely faint.
The boss room looked like the inside of a giant sphere, almost like something perfectly round.
Not only that, thick silky webs connected every hole entrance to the middle, and the pale green light from the crystals made the entire scene eerie, like something straight out of a horror film.
At the center was where all the webs connected together into a massive round platform.
On top of it was a giant hairy spider easily the size of a small house.
There were three figures tied up neatly with thick white silk.
"Those aren’t things... they’re people." Reiji muttered as he looked carefully.
They were wrapped up tightly like cocoons. The only difference was that their heads weren’t covered. One had already fainted. One looked completely broken mentally. And the last one was crying and screaming.
"I can’t just charge in blindly..." Reiji muttered to himself. But before he could think properly, the massive spider locked onto him, its six eyes suddenly turning bloodshot.
[Dungeon Boss Silk Weaver Tarantula (E++)]
The creature let out a loud hiss.
Unlike the adventurers it had easily captured, it could immediately sense that Reiji was dangerous. It was because of the weapon he was holding. The Soul Torture Blade continuously released a menacing aura that made even the tarantula feel threatened.
’It noticed me already?’ Reiji thought.
Reiji slowly stepped forward, walking along the thick spider web pathways like narrow sidewalks leading toward the center.
HISSSSS!!
The creature hissed even louder.
*Rumble*
The entire boss room suddenly began shaking violently. Almost instantly, black spiders as tall as a six-year-old started pouring out from every hole except the one Reiji came from.

"Shit..." Reiji immediately began backing away. There were too much and he didn’t think he could kill them all.
The crying girl who had spotted Reiji instantly felt relieved. She originally thought it was a female Awakener sent by the rescue team. But now, he was backing away. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
’Is she going to run?’ she thought anxiously.
Because of the pale green lighting and the hoodie covering Reiji’s face, she had no idea that the person standing there was actually a man.
Before Reiji could retreat any further, the system suddenly chimed inside his head.
Ding!

Reiji swallowed hard.
He didn’t know what the Soul Torture Chamber was, but the dagger in his hand made him instinctively understand one thing. He never wanted to go there.
Reiji gritted his teeth as he tightened his grip around the Soul Torture Blade.
The Black Venom Spiders immediately rushed toward him from every direction.
The crying girl saw this and instantly felt relieved. ’She isn’t running away... thank goodness.’ She thought. But then another thought suddenly appeared in her mind. ’But how will she fight all these creatures...?’ That was when reality finally set in.
All the spiders started closing in while the thick web beneath Reiji’s feet trembled violently. Reiji narrowed his eyes as he rushed forward.
Swoosh!
The venom spiders started shooting black webs at Reiji. Reiji swung the Soul Torture Blade, slicing the venomous web cleanly apart. But the moment the severed web landed on the web floor, it immediately started bubbling.
Despite how durable the Silk Weaver’s web was, the venomous black web immediately began corroding it.
Reiji stared in shock. ’These spiders’ webs are even more corrosive than the exploding slime fluid.’
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The spiders fired multiple venomous webs toward him. He dodged while using the Soul Torture Blade to slice apart the webs he couldn’t avoid.
Reiji rushed forward and swung his blade toward the spider directly in front of him. But suddenly, a Black Venom Spider lunged at him from the side.
Reiji was caught off guard and lost his footing, falling off the web pathway.
"Ahh!!"
Thud!
Reiji landed with a dull thud.
He had expected to break a few bones or ribs, but surprisingly he didn’t. The web of the Silk Weaver Tarantula was both soft and incredibly durable.
But he didn’t have time to dwell on it.
The spiders climbing upward suddenly noticed Reiji falling toward them and immediately charged at him.
Reiji immediately stood up and tightened his grip around the Soul Torture Blade as the creatures crawled toward him from every direction.
The one in front lunged at him first.
Reiji quickly swung his blade.
Slash!
The spider was sliced cleanly in half.
Ding!

Reiji continued dodging the venomous webs while cutting down the spiders closest to him.
The battle continued for a while, and Reiji slowly started realizing something.
’These creatures just keep coming...!’
Reiji was suddenly caught off guard when one Black Venom Spider latched onto his leg.
"Shit!"
Reiji immediately brought down the Soul Torture Blade and stabbed the creature through the head.
Before the spider could inject venom into him, Reiji violently shook his leg and sent the corpse flying away like a broken kite.
The other Black Venom Spiders saw this and immediately rushed him from all directions.
Reiji quickly dodged the incoming webs while cutting down the spiders lunging toward him.
’They’re overwhelming me... and their numbers are no joke. If this keeps going, I’ll run out of stamina.’
Ding!

Reiji looked forward and noticed a section of web he could climb to get back onto the upper pathway.
’Maybe if I can kill the boss, I’ll be able to scare some of them off.’
Without hesitation, Reiji sprinted forward, slaying every spider in his path.
He quickly climbed the thick web and returned back onto the upper pathway.
Reiji didn’t stop moving for even a second.
He continued running forward while dodging venomous webs and cutting down every spider blocking his path.
The Silk Weaver Tarantula immediately became alarmed and let out another furious hiss.
HISSSSS!!
Almost instantly, the spiders swarmed together and blocked Reiji’s path.
Reiji narrowed his eyes and continued running forward with even greater speed.
He was forcing his way toward the tarantula.
"AHHHHH!!"
BOOM!!
The spiders were caught off guard by Reiji’s sudden charge but quickly regain themselves and attacked him.
Reiji cut down the spiders closest to him as he continued rushing toward the giant tarantula.
HISSSSS!!
The creature hissed furiously at Reiji, who was now only a few feet away from it.
Reiji raised the Soul Torture Blade, preparing to strike.
But suddenly, the tarantula swung one of its massive legs and knocked Reiji off the web pathway. Luckily, Reiji grabbed onto the edge just before falling.
The tarantula immediately rushed forward.
It repeatedly slammed its sharp legs against Reiji’s hands.
"Son of a bitch!"
The creature kept attacking his hands repeatedly. By now, his hands were already red and trembling violently. He couldn’t hold on any longer.
The tarantula raised one of its legs once more and brought it down to Reiji’s hand.
Reiji finally lost his grip.
But before he could completely fall, Reiji fought through the pain and grabbed onto the tarantula’s leg that it used to hit him using his injured hand.
In one clean motion, Reiji severed the tarantula’s leg using the Soul Torture Blade in other hand.
SHRIEEEK!!
As he fell, Reiji flashed the monster a satisfied grin and raised his middle finger toward it.
