Chapter 2563: Chapter 36: Openly Carried Back to the Room
Molly Wellington felt extremely nervous inside.
Returning so late with Abraham Redington, and being so close, it would easily arouse the suspicion of her godmother, Lily Redington. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
She didn’t know why Abraham was doing this.
Why he insisted on holding her without letting go.
"Abraham, put me down... this is the Lucas family." She was carried by Abraham out of the car horizontally, about to be taken into the villa.
Her face was flushed unnaturally, from embarrassment and nervousness.
However, Abraham held her small body, his steps never stopped, and the large hand on her waist tightened even more after her resistance. freewebnøvel.coɱ
Those deep blue eyes glanced at her lightly, then lifted up again, calmly looking forward.
Compared to Molly Wellington’s flustered embarrassment, Abraham Redington was expressionless, incredibly calm and composed.
What exactly did he want!
Just as Abraham was carrying her across the threshold, Ellie, who came to open the door, showed a shocked expression and repeatedly asked what was going on.
Yet, this man didn’t answer, simply holding her, continuing inside.
"Abraham, put me down..." Molly Wellington’s hand tightly clutched Abraham’s collar, her hand trembling, with a slight sweat on her palm.
The soft, fluffy black hair danced in the air with each of Abraham’s unabated steps.
"Abbie, Molly... what’s going on?" Lily Redington’s voice came from the staircase, interrupting Molly Wellington’s unfinished protest.
The girl’s face, already tinged with red, was now completely flushed; she closed her eyes in slight despair, instinctively hiding her face in Abraham’s chest.
Shame overwhelmed her... she couldn’t possibly face her godmother who had always cared for and protected her.
Standing at the top of the stairs was Lily Redington, dressed in a moon-white silk robe, her long hair cascading behind her shoulders, and a peculiar blush on her face.
But she stood high up, and if you weren’t careful, you wouldn’t notice her almond-shaped eyes glistening with tears, her red lips slightly swollen, her cheeks carrying an unusual flush.
"Molly confused champagne for a drink at the banquet and got drunk." Abraham stood at the bottom of the stairs, lifting those slightly indifferent blue eyes, speaking without a change of tone to Lily Redington above.
"She said she was dizzy and couldn’t walk, so I carried her back... now that we’re home, I’ll put her down."
In a low and chilly tone, Abraham spoke, then bent down, as if to place Molly Wellington out of his arms.
Standing at the second-floor staircase, Lily quickly intervened: "Don’t let her walk by herself, Molly has never been able to handle alcohol since she was little. Just a bit makes her face red and dizzy. She must be uncomfortable now, unable to walk, so you should quickly carry her upstairs and return her to her room."
In this house, there are only a few men who could carry Molly Wellington.
Aidan Lucas... don’t count on it.
Lily had heard the noise earlier, forced herself out of bed and wrapped herself in a robe to come out, fearing that man was still sulking in the room.
Amongst those left, only Abraham seemed the most suitable to carry Molly back to her room.
Lily feared her son disliked Molly; after all, a mother knows her child best. Since Abraham returned from abroad, his distaste for Molly was almost written on his face.
She couldn’t understand why the usually mildly cold and sharp-tongued Andrew had turned into a sworn enemy after growing up.
But at this moment, there was no room to care about such things.
Fearing Abraham would put Molly down and refuse to carry her up, Lily even resorted to offering a ’bribe’.
"Be quick, Molly’s uncomfortable from drinking, so carry her back to her room to rest. At worst, mother promises not to force you to shop with me tomorrow."
So, under Lily’s ’arrangement’, Molly Wellington was carried back to her room by Abraham, right under her own eyes.
And as the figure of Abraham carrying Molly just disappeared, Lily Redington was suddenly scooped up by a pair of strong, powerful hands.
Dragged back to the bedroom and tossed onto the bed, the woman could no longer concern herself with the matters outside.
