Chapter 47: Imparting the Dao and Teaching a Lesson (Part 1)

"Get over here!" Li Qiye’s gaze turned cold as he said icily, "Since you want to challenge my authority, you’ll get a taste of its power!"

"What’s there to be afraid of? He’s only one person, and there are so many of us! Charge!" one disciple yelled, his courage bolstered. He drew his Treasure Soldier and rushed forward.

"Let’s go together!" With someone leading the charge, the dozens of disciples grew bolder. Shouting, they all drew their weapons and rushed forward.

BANG—BANG—BANG—However, their numbers were useless. Before the Snake-Beating Staff, any Cultivator below the Heavenly Essence Realm was destined for a beating. These dozens of disciples were like little snakes encountering their bane. The moment they attacked, the Snake-Beating Staff struck them square in the face. A single strike sent them to the ground, their faces covered in blood.

BANG—BANG—BANG—Li Qiye showed no mercy to this group of disciples who had rebelled first. He beat them viciously, striking them hard even after they were already on the ground.

Li Qiye’s ruthlessness made the disciples wail like ghosts and howl like wolves. He beat them until they were covered in blood, unable to get back up for some time.

Seeing Li Qiye’s viciousness, the other onlooking disciples couldn’t help but shiver, their faces turning pale.

"You. All of you. Get over here," Li Qiye said nonchalantly, pointing his staff at the remaining disciples.

"S-Senior Brother, I... we... we didn’t rebel," the female disciple with the big eyes said timidly.

"I know," Li Qiye said flatly. "My first lesson is very simple. It’s to let you know that anyone can provoke me. However, you can also see for yourselves what happens to those who do."

BANG—BANG—BANG—Regardless of whether these disciples fought back, Li Qiye charged forward and knocked them down one by one with his staff!

In fact, Li Qiye was already in the Yun Body Realm, and some of the disciples’ Dao Practice was even weaker than his. He could have dealt with them even without the Snake-Beating Staff. So, he charged forward like a tiger pouncing on a flock of sheep, felling most of them in the blink of an eye.

"Run—!" Unsure who it was, someone, scared out of their wits, turned and fled.

However, they had just started to run when Nan Huairun threw them back. There was no escape. Seeing this, some turned to fight back, but a staff swung at their faces, knocking them to the ground on the spot.

BANG—BANG—BANG—Li Qiye went a little easier on the disciples who hadn’t rebelled, merely knocking them to the ground. Unlike Luo Fenghua and his group, they weren’t beaten until they were covered in blood.

In the end, not a single one of the three hundred disciples was spared; all were knocked to the ground. Every disciple’s face was ashen. The Snake-Beating Staff was their absolute bane. Even if a strike left no visible wound, the pain seeped deep into their bones.

The Snake-Beating Staff was the best, and rarest, treasure in the world for teaching disobedient disciples a lesson. Otherwise, Li Qiye wouldn’t have used it to discipline that bunch of brats, including the Mingren Kid!

For a time, the entire training ground echoed with endless, pained cries. All the disciples had been felled by the staff. Those who resisted fiercely were beaten mercilessly by Li Qiye. He was especially vicious with Luo Fenghua and his group of dozens; even after knocking them down, he continued to beat them until their skin split and their flesh was torn.

After thoroughly teaching this crowd of disciples a lesson, Li Qiye slowly returned to his high seat. Looking down at the disciples sprawled across the ground, he said calmly, "I welcome any challenges. As for the consequences... well, you can consider that for yourselves. Today’s first lesson was just an appetizer. In the future, I won’t be so gentle. I won’t stop until I’ve broken your bones!"

Looking at the disciples lying on the ground, Li Qiye said flatly, "Since I am your teacher, I will be responsible for you to the end. Any stubborn ones who refuse to submit? No problem. I’ll beat you until you do! Otherwise, you will obediently play the part of a disciple! In my presence, you are here to learn. I don’t care if you’re some genius; you will shatter that pretentiousness! Before me, geniuses are as worthless as dog shit! If you’re a dragon, you’d better coil up! If you’re a tiger, you’d better lie down! Otherwise, I’ll keep beating you until I’ve shattered your pride and arrogance!"

At this moment, the disciples were all lying on the ground, unable to even crawl, let alone talk back.

"That’s all for the first lesson today." At this, Li Qiye smiled. As he was leaving, he added, "Of course, if you’re unhappy with me, you can go and complain. But remember, I will give special ’hospitality’ to anyone who complains about me!"

Sure enough, that very afternoon, Master Zhou came to his door. The moment he saw him, Master Zhou said coldly, "The purpose of teaching the sect’s disciples is to impart the Dao. The disciples of Washing Stone Peak are the future pillars of the Xiyan Ancient Sect. If anything should happen to them..."

"If you’re unhappy with me, Master Zhou, then go complain to the elders." Li Qiye cut him off, completely at ease. "Since I’m responsible for teaching, how I teach is my business. I don’t need others telling me what to do. If there’s nothing else, Master Zhou, please see yourself out."

"You—!" Rebutted so easily and seeing that Li Qiye held him in utter contempt, Master Zhou trembled with rage.

"Master Zhou, please leave," Li Qiye said, not even bothering to spare him another glance. He couldn’t be bothered to waste his breath on someone of this Level.

Master Zhou was so angry he could have spat blood, his rage soaring. He ground his teeth, and finally, he laughed from extreme anger. "Fine. Fine! Fine! We’ll see how the disciples you’ve taught pass the assessment when the time comes!" With that, he turned and stormed off.

As soon as Master Zhou left, Li Shuangyan appeared from out of nowhere. She stared at Li Qiye and said coolly, "You make enemies everywhere. Aren’t you afraid someone will kill you?"

"Dao Practice isn’t everything," Li Qiye said, glancing at her calmly. "Killing someone isn’t hard. It’s just a matter of how, and whether it’s worth the effort."

"Speaking of killing!" Li Qiye couldn’t help but chuckle. "Within the Xiyan Ancient Sect, so what if I’m facing a massive army? I’ll kill as many as dare to come!"

Li Shuangyan looked at Li Qiye and stated coolly, "So you’re very confident, then."

"However, don’t you forget, you are my Sword Attendant. Protecting your master is your responsibility," Li Qiye said, too lazy to elaborate on the matter, simply reminding her of the fact.

"You—!" Li Shuangyan’s pretty face flushed red with anger at his attitude. After so long in Cultivation, her Dao Heart was exceptionally stable, but ever since meeting Li Qiye, she had been angered to the point of spitting blood on several occasions.

But Li Shuangyan was a Heavenly Pride Girl, after all. She took a deep breath, finally calming herself. Looking at Li Qiye, she said in a cold voice, "Making me submit isn’t impossible. But at the very least, you have to give me a reason to."

"The Biqing Body, one of the Twenty-four Emperor’s Bodies. A decent constitution," Li Qiye said, looking at her calmly. "Stay by my side, and I will offer you some guidance in the future. As long as you work hard and have my instruction, Cultivation into a Pure Body will not be a problem!"

"Such arrogant words! A Pure Body!" Li Shuangyan couldn’t help but glare at Li Qiye. "Do you have any idea what a Pure Body signifies? It’s one of the Twelve Immortal Bodies! Since time immemorial, almost no one has successfully cultivated an Immortal Body! The Holy Body Technique I’m practicing now is already one of the most supreme Body Techniques in existence!"

Li Shuangyan had an Innate Emperor Body, something to be immensely proud of. The Biqing Emperor’s Body was extremely rare, one of the Twenty-four Emperor’s Bodies. The Body Technique she was cultivating was already among the best in the world, yet even with that, it would still take her a great deal of Time to cultivate her Biqing Body into a Yuqing Body!

The Yuqing Body was one of the Eighteen Holy Bodies. Once this Sacred Body was formed, its power would be boundless and could not be underestimated!

HUMMM—Without another word, Li Qiye’s Life Wheel suddenly appeared. Divine Light spun behind his head as his Blood Qi surged. For a moment, it was as if a Giant Kūn were leaping from the sea, his Life Palace rising and falling. In that instant, Li Qiye viciously kicked at Li Shuangyan.

Li Shuangyan’s expression changed. Her fair hand shot out, holding a Silver Shield to block Li Qiye’s kick.

BANG—! With a loud explosion, the kick descended with the weight of Wanyue, an indescribable heaviness. A kick like this was not easy for Li Shuangyan to handle. CRACK! The Silver Shield in her hand shattered. Although she blocked the kick, she was forced back a step, instantly crushing the stone tiles beneath her feet!

This caused Li Shuangyan’s expression to change drastically. Li Qiye’s kick wasn’t powered by a Daoist Technique, nor was it just a matter of brute force. It was weight. Pure, unadulterated weight.

It was as if Li Qiye’s leg carried the weight of Wanyue, enough to shatter mountains and rivers with a single stomp! This should be impossible. Li Qiye’s Dao Practice was still shallow; there was no way his leg could be that heavy!

"Heavenly Pride Girl. You are indeed worthy of that title," Li Qiye said, glancing at her calmly. "To be able to withstand the full weight of that kick, your Dao Practice is truly remarkable. You obtained the ’Yuqing Sacred Heart Skill’ you’re cultivating from the Martial God Hall, correct? It’s a decent Body Technique." Having said his piece, he turned and left.

Li Shuangyan was speechless for a long time, utterly shocked. Ever since she had met Li Qiye, he had merely seemed mysterious and unfathomable. But the weight of his kick today had truly shaken her to the core.

She was certain that Li Qiye’s Dao Practice was no higher than the Yun Body Realm, yet the weight of his leg was staggering. She could feel it. This wasn’t the Power of the Great Dao, nor was it simple strength. It was weight.

’Why was Li Qiye’s leg so heavy?’ A person’s leg could absolutely not be this heavy. At least, not a Mortal Body! The thought sent a tremor through Li Shuangyan’s heart.

There were several constitutions that were known for immense weight. For example, the Xiongyue Body, an Innate Body. Or the Demon Suppression Body, an Emperor Body. Or even the Prison Suppression Body, a Sacred Body.

However, it was clear that Li Qiye did not have an Innate Body, an Emperor Body, or a Sacred Body. A naturally born Innate Emperor Body or Sacred Body could never be hidden from others’ eyes.
