A flush of heat washed over Tiana. She snapped her head up. "I-I wasn’t thinking that! Y-You... stop talking nonsense..."
The playful smile vanished from Leo Joyce’s face. His expression was a little serious as he looked at Tiana, and his tone was somewhat low and husky. "But I am."
Tiana stared at Leo Joyce in astonishment.
’Be his woman? It was true that she liked Leo, but... but they weren’t married yet...’
Seeing Tiana’s dazed expression, Leo Joyce’s lips curled into a smile. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her red lips. "Silly girl."
’As long as Tiana didn’t agree or wasn’t willing, he would absolutely never lay a hand on her.’
’Although, just a moment ago, he did have the urge. He was desperate to make her his completely, to erase any thought she might have of leaving him, but he would never actually go through with it.’

Leo Joyce carried her out of the school gates and settled her in the car. Just as he was about to start the engine, his phone rang. Hearing it, Leo Joyce’s brows knitted in displeasure. He pulled out his phone, and when he saw the name on the screen, the warmth on his face gradually vanished. He swiped to answer.
The moment the call connected, Luna Lynch’s displeased voice came through. "Leo, what’s going on? Didn’t you say you were coming to pick up your sister and me? Why aren’t you here yet?"
Listening to Luna Lynch’s words, Leo Joyce glanced over at Tiana in the passenger seat and smirked. "I’m picking up my girlfriend. I’ll bring her with me in a moment."
"Girlfriend? You mean that girl from the Grayson family?"
"Yes, it’s her."
"Leo, even if your father and sister have agreed to you seeing that Grayson girl, I’m warning you. Without my permission, I forbid you from being with her! Break up with her this instant." Luna Lynch was obviously furious, and her voice was so loud that Tiana, sitting next to him, heard every word.
Tiana’s hands tightened on her clothes, and her eyes began to redden.
Leo Joyce’s expression was just as dark. He said coldly, "Who I date is my own business, Mom. I’m not breaking up with Tiana. In fact, we’re going to get married. If you don’t like her, then just close your eyes and pretend she isn’t there. If you do, then I’ll bring her with me to pick you up right now."
Hearing her son’s words, Luna Lynch was so furious she felt the urge to smash her phone. Just then, Aria Joyce quickly snatched the phone from her hand. She spoke with a placating smile, "Leo, don’t worry. How could Mom not like a girl as sweet and sensible as Tiana? Go ahead and bring her to pick us up. It’s fine."
"Okay." Leo Joyce’s expression finally softened a bit after hearing Aria Joyce’s words.
He hung up and tossed his phone aside in the car, then turned to Tiana and quickly explained, "Tiana, don’t let this get to you. No matter what my parents’ attitude is, my decision to be with you will not change."
"Leo Joyce, it’s not like I was dead set on being with you." Hearing his words only made Tiana feel more aggrieved. She crossed her arms and turned her head away, refusing to look at him.
’She couldn’t understand it. Why did Leo Joyce’s mother dislike her so much when they had never even met? Why did she want her to break up with Leo...?’
"Right, right, you never thought about it. I’m the one who’s dead set on being with you!"
