Chapter 507: Chapter 507: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (7)
Mika Summers kept pinching Tristan Grayson. "No! Tristan Grayson, isn’t there something else you haven’t told me?"
"What’s that?"
"Just keep playing dumb, Tristan Grayson."
"Darling, I honestly don’t know what else I could be hiding from you."
"Tristan Grayson, you knew all along that Aria Joyce likes you, didn’t you!"
"I..." For a moment, Tristan Grayson was struck with guilt, and a nervous look crossed his face.
Seeing his reaction, Mika Summers stopped pinching him and took a step back. Her eyes were red as she said angrily, "You knew she liked you, and you still went to save her." ’That was practically giving Aria Joyce an opportunity to get close to him.’
"Darling, I know I was wrong, I really do. It was my fault this time. Next time, even if you beat me to death, I absolutely will not go save her!"
"In your dreams." ’Beat him to death? Was she that stupid? Beating him up over another woman...’
Seeing Mika Summers wasn’t angry anymore, Tristan Grayson stood and pulled her into his arms. He held her tight, looked down at her, and asked with a smile, "Darling, what was it you called me when you were talking to Aria Joyce just now?"
"What?" Mika Summers feigned confusion, her face flushing as she lowered her head slightly. Her heart suddenly began to pound.
In a great mood, Tristan Grayson tightened his arms around her waist. "I could have sworn I heard *someone* calling me ’husband’."
"Who said that? I certainly didn’t."
"Really? Because I’m pretty sure I heard someone say it..."
"Then you must have a problem with your ears. You should get them checked."
...
When Aria Joyce returned to the hospital room next door, she found Leo and her parents had all arrived.
When Leo Joyce saw his sister return, he quickly went to support her. In a cold, displeased tone, he said, "Sis, something so terrible happened last night. Why didn’t you call me?"
"It’s all that Gia Miller’s fault. She drugged me, knocked me out, and took me away." Aria Joyce was furious as well. She had never suffered such humiliation in her entire life.
"Gia Miller again?"
Aria Joyce nodded and looked at her brother in confusion. "Yes. Leo, what exactly did you do to get on her bad side? She said she kidnapped me because of something you did to her in the past."
"Sis, don’t worry about that. She dared to kidnap you and almost got you killed. I’ll make sure she dies for it."
"Leo, we absolutely cannot let Gia Miller get away with this. We can’t let her get out of prison this time."
"Mm. Dead people don’t get out of prison."
Hearing Leo’s assurance, Aria Joyce finally breathed a sigh of relief. But then, she seemed to remember something. A wronged expression crossed her face, and she sat down on the bed, blinking back tears.
Seeing his precious daughter like this, Julian Joyce frowned and asked with concern, "Aria, did something else happen? No matter what it is, just tell us. Your mother, Leo, and I will get revenge for you."
"Mom, Dad, the only reason I made it out alive this time was because of Tristan. If it weren’t for him, I would have drowned." Aria Joyce wiped away a tear, her voice choked with emotion.
Julian Joyce nodded and said in a solemn voice, "He helped you, so our family should thank him. Doesn’t Leo have a crush on that Grayson girl? We’ll find a time for your mother and me to pay them a visit and express our gratitude. While we’re at it, we can propose a marriage to the Grayson family. We’ll go ahead and arrange the engagement between Leo and her."
The moment Leo Joyce heard his father’s words, he became agitated. "No! This is about my sister! What does it have to do with me and Tiana?!"
