Chapter 496: Chapter 496: Saying I Love You From This Moment On (96)

Aria Joyce walked out to the balcony. With one hand on the railing and the other holding a bottle, she tilted her head back and took a drink, her gaze drifting toward the main hall with a hint of sorrow.

After she had taken a few sips, a waitress approached, carrying a tray of drinks for her to choose from.

Seeing they were all glasses of hard liquor, she didn’t think much of it. In fact, she found the waitress rather perceptive, knowing she was in a foul mood and that red wine wouldn’t do the trick.

However, after just a few sips, a wave of dizziness washed over her, and she could barely keep her balance.

She reached out to steady herself on something nearby. The waitress, who hadn’t gone far, immediately set her tray on a table and rushed back to firmly support Aria’s arm. "Miss Joyce, are you all right?" she asked with concern.

"I’m a little dizzy... I probably drank too much. Could you please help me find a place to rest?" Aria Joyce shook her head hard, and her vision cleared slightly, but her head was still spinning and she felt utterly drained of strength.

"Of course, no problem." The waitress nodded and began to lead her away.

They had only taken a few steps when her head grew heavy and her legs gave out, causing her to collapse.

The waitress caught Aria Joyce, holding her tightly with both arms as she dragged her backward.

Amid the bustle of the party, no one noticed that Aria Joyce, who had been on the balcony, had vanished.

The banquet didn’t end until nearly midnight, and Mika Summers felt like her body was about to fall apart from exhaustion.

The mere thought of having to do it all over again at the end of the month made her want to cry.

But Tristan Grayson, that man, apparently didn’t know the meaning of the word ’tired’. Not only that, but the moment they entered the room, he bent down, swept her into his arms, and headed for the bed.

"Tristan, I’m begging you, not tonight. Can’t we just get some rest?"

"If you’re tired, you just lie back and relax. I’ll do all the work." As he spoke, Tristan Grayson laid her on the bed and began to undress her.

Mika Summers rolled her eyes, speechless. She pushed the man off her. "What’s the difference? It’s still exhausting for me!"

"Of course there’s a difference. If you don’t believe me, we can put it to the test." With that, Tristan Grayson pounced on her again.

"Tristan Grayson—" Just as Mika Summers was about to stop him, the phone in Tristan’s pocket rang. Annoyed, Tristan pushed himself off her and pulled out his phone. He glanced at the screen—it was an unknown number. He tossed the phone carelessly onto the bed, then sat up astride her and quickly started shedding his own clothes, ready for a passionate night.

But just as he embraced her, the phone began to ring again.

Seeing this, Mika Summers laughed unsympathetically. "Tristan, it looks like it’s just not meant to be tonight. You get the phone. I’m going to sleep."

Hearing Mika’s words, Tristan’s face darkened. He got off her, grabbed the phone from the bed, and answered, ready to chew out whoever was on the other end.

But before he could get a word out, the person on the other end spoke first. "Tristan, save me! Save me!"

Hearing this, Tristan was baffled. ’Mika is right here. Who else would I need to save?’

"Heh... Tristan Grayson, did you hear that?" a new voice chimed in. "If you can’t get here right away, I can’t guarantee what might happen to Miss Joyce."

Tristan gripped the phone, his voice turning to ice. "Miss Joyce? Who are you?"

"Tristan Grayson, you have a short memory. Don’t you remember who I am? Or was that little fire I sent your way a while back not big enough for you?"
