Chapter 489: Chapter 489: Saying I Love You From This Moment On (89)

Tristan Grayson asked patiently, his voice low, "What exactly do I have to do for you to stop being angry with me?"

Mika Summers threw back the covers, got out of bed, and headed for the door.

Seeing this, Tristan Grayson got up and hugged her tightly. "Please, don’t torture me anymore. Can’t we just be together peacefully?"

"Tristan Grayson, who’s the one who doesn’t want to get along here, me or you? You reek of alcohol and another woman’s perfume, and you still have the audacity to hug me. Aren’t you just disgusting? Silas Kent helped me out of a bind and gave me a hug, but what about you? Were you fooling around with another woman all night!" ’She had waited all of last night and all day today, and this was what she got?’

Tristan Grayson’s face turned grim. "What nonsense are you talking about! How could I possibly fool around with other women?"

Mika Summers shoved Tristan Grayson away, jabbing a finger at his clothes. "Tristan Grayson, do you really take me for an idiot?" she said furiously. "Can’t you smell it on yourself?"

A sudden panic rose from the depths of Tristan Grayson’s heart. "It was an accident. I can explain. I was with Cassian Jennings and the others last night."

"Hah..." Mika Summers’s lips curled into a sneer, her tone icy. "Tristan Grayson, I’m so disappointed in you." ’And he thinks he can just brush this off by calling it an accident?’

As Mika pushed him away and headed for the door, Tristan reached out and grabbed her, only to be coldly flung aside.

Mentally and physically drained, he sank back onto the bed...

After leaving the bedroom, Mika Summers went to sleep in the study.

Just the thought of Tristan Grayson reeking of alcohol and perfume made her chest tighten with frustration...

’Even if he wasn’t cheating on me, he was definitely with a woman! Besides, he drank so much and didn’t come home all night. Who knows what could have happened.’

First thing the next morning, Mika Summers woke Rory and Kiki and left with them.

When Tristan Grayson woke up, the house was empty. Not only was it empty, but the closet door in Kiki’s room was wide open, and clothes were clearly missing from inside...

Inside the office, Silas Kent looked at Mika Summers’s red, swollen eyes. He clenched his fists and demanded sharply, "What happened to your eyes? Did that bastard Tristan Grayson hurt you?"

"No, I’m fine."

"How can you say you’re fine? They’re this swollen!" Silas fumed, picking up the phone on his desk and buzzing Jessica Archer. "Jessica, get some ice and bring it in here, now."

Seeing how worried Silas Kent was about her, Mika Summers felt a pang in her heart. "I’m really okay."

"Mika, no matter what, if Tristan Grayson ever wrongs you, you can always come to me. I’ll make things right for you."

「The Bishop Residence.」

Eleanor Bishop was curled up on the sofa, not saying a word, her gaze fixed blankly on the floor.

’She’d lost track of how many days it had been since Rory left. She didn’t know if he was eating enough, if he missed her, if he had been crying, if he was being good and obedient...’

"Eleanor, dear, look. Does Mom look good in this coat?" Just then, Yara Ross walked out holding a red coat. She held it up against herself and asked with a smile.

Hearing Yara Ross’s words, Eleanor Bishop snapped out of her daze. She glanced up absentmindedly and replied coolly, "It looks good."

Yara Ross’s smile widened, but when she saw Eleanor still hadn’t moved from the sofa, she said with displeasure, "Eleanor, why haven’t you changed yet? We’re going to your grandfather’s house in a bit. We can’t show up dressed so shabbily; it would be humiliating."
