Chapter 427: Chapter 427: From This Moment On, Say I Love You (27)

"Silas, is that you? I’m tired. I’m going to sleep for a bit."

The woman’s words caused the man’s expression to freeze, and a flash of hurt crossed his eyes...

The man led the woman out of the hotel. As he glanced at the banners flanking the entrance, a dark expression settled on his handsome face...

He hailed a taxi and went to a nearby hotel.

Once in the hotel room, he gently laid the woman on the bed.

Watching her sleep, he reached out to caress her face, his voice trembling slightly. "Mika Summers, tell me, what on earth must I do for you to forgive me and come back to my side?"

After he spoke, Tristan Grayson gave a bitter, self-mocking smile.

He carefully undressed her, then lifted her into his arms and carried her to the bathroom.

Throughout the bath, he did his best to avert his gaze. He had just about finished washing her and was about to carry her out when she suddenly opened her eyes, staring straight at him.

Tristan Grayson jumped in alarm. He was about to stammer out an explanation when the woman suddenly stood. Her face flushed, she swayed and stumbled into his arms.

Tristan Grayson frowned and called out in a low voice, "Mika Summers."

The woman didn’t answer, remaining limp against his body.

Seeing this, Tristan Grayson breathed a small sigh of relief. ’Looks like she’s still out of it.’

He lifted her into his arms, but a glimpse of a scar on her side caught his eye. His expression darkened. Then, when he saw the scar on her stomach, his face became a mask of pure anguish.

’Just how much of an asshole had he been to force her away.’

’What kind of monster had he been...’

He carried her out of the bathroom and laid her on the bed. After gently drying her off, he prepared to leave. freewebnσvel.cѳm

But at that moment, she suddenly reached out and grabbed his hand, her expression pained. "Don’t go!"

Hearing her words, Tristan Grayson sat back down. "I won’t go."

The woman slowly opened her eyes. She looked at Tristan Grayson, her grip tightening on his hand as her eyes welled with tears. "Tristan..." she choked out.

"Yes..." Her suddenly waking up had already startled Tristan Grayson. But now, instead of pushing him away, she was clinging to his hand and calling his name.

Tristan Grayson felt his own eyes begin to burn, and a sharp pain pierced his heart.

"Tristan, you’re not dead?"

Tristan Grayson raised his hand to wipe away the tears from the corner of her eyes. "Silly girl, how could I possibly die?"

"But, I saw everything..." freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

’Saw it?’ Tristan Grayson’s brow furrowed, confused by her words.

But she sat up and threw herself into his arms. "Tristan, I don’t want you to die..." Even if she hated him, she had never wished for his death...

"I know. I’ll live a long life. We both will." Tristan Grayson felt her body trembling and knew she was genuinely afraid. He soothed her in a soft voice.

She clung to him and broke down in tears.

Her cries made Tristan Grayson’s heart ache with every sob.

His heart aching, Tristan Grayson gently eased her away from his chest. His voice trembled with a desperate uncertainty. "Mika Summers, I swear I’ll treat you right from now on. Forgive me, please?"

With tear-filled, red eyes, Mika Summers nodded.

Overjoyed, Tristan Grayson pulled her into a tight embrace. Mika Summers’s hands trembled as she hugged him back, tears slowly tracing paths down from the corners of her eyes...

The unreality of the moment filled both of their hearts.
