Inside the main hall of the gatehouse, the commanders stared at Lu Chao’s back, exchanging bewildered glances. One by one, they rushed out of the hall after him.

They had all seen Lu Chao don a mask, but they had no idea what he intended to do now, standing at the edge of the city wall.

’Dammit,’ they thought. ’Why are we responding to his orders so seriously? The kid’s obviously a fake.’
