Chapter 2451: Chapter 2452: Big Trouble
Veronia was awakened by the messages from the Divine Beast Intelligence Network, or rather, almost no Divine Beast could sleep at this moment, the entire network was like a pot about to boil over, with messages continually popping up.
"Really, it’s useless, even though they’ve been warned, something still went awry."
Although at first not knowing what had happened, just by looking at a few messages, Veronia knew something big was up, or rather, she hadn’t expected them to actually find the sealed Mythical Era Artifact known as the Dominator of All.
Even though they couldn’t take away the Dominator of All, they still managed to extract a unique power emitted by it using methods reminiscent of the past with Kashantuosi.
The reason they were discovered was because Milos Lulu was uneasy about that place and decided to check beyond the routine patrol range, finding the devices they had set up there; as for how much power they obtained, it’s unclear for now.
Not getting the Dominator of All was some good news, but even so, their actions still made the Divine Beasts furious, as the power emanated from the Dominator of All was once used by the Kashantuosi Remnants to unleash a blizzard that swept the Northern Snow Plain.
No one knows what they’ll do after obtaining such terrifying power.
As for tracking them down? They’re trying, but how easy is it to do so when they could have taken it directly into the Imperial Timeline, making it impossible to find, even if known.
Now they aren’t united, completely powerless to penetrate the interior of the Imperial Timeline.
Veronia simply watched for a while and stopped paying attention to the matter. Regarding this situation, she knows, dealing with it might need Feng Yuan to step in, else they’ll just have to resist the natural disaster it might trigger.
Will they strike at Maomu City?
Thinking, Veronia gazed into the distance, even from the student dormitory of the Beast Taming Academy, she could see the faintly glowing Time Storm, which couldn’t be quickly dissipated.
"Tamur, are you going back to Hurmasahia? This time, that place is equally dangerous."
Looking at Tamur, Veronia spoke, gently swaying her body, Tamur said
"I trust them."
"You really have faith in them, huh? If something goes wrong, I wonder if you’ll regret it."
"Perhaps, but it’s something that must be done."
"Heh, is it really so?"
Understanding Tamur’s intent, yet Veronia doesn’t have high hopes; although young eagles must eventually soar into the blue sky, they’re not entirely able to face all disasters, and thus, while few are sheltered by Divine Beasts, it’s not entirely absent.
Tamur did not answer, and Veronia did not continue questioning. In her view, Maomu City is likely easier to attract attacks than Hurmasahia.
The next day, Feng Yuan awoke to find Veronia sitting in the living room, seemingly deep in thought, and curiously asked
"Veronia, what’s up? Sitting here daydreaming?"
"You’re up? Hmm, I’m not daydreaming. Those guys, as expected, performed a diversion last night, it was quite lively. Still remember the Dominator of All?"
"Don’t tell me it was stolen. I remember that thing being sealed with multiple seals, shouldn’t be easy to steal, right?"
Startled for a moment, Feng Yuan exclaimed, genuinely worried that the Imperial Timeline would get their hands on it. It’s no joke, even without a Mythical Era Artifact, those people already caused a big commotion, but if they got hold of the Dominator of All, even if Divine Beasts helped, Feng Yuan isn’t optimistic about the humans on the main timeline.
"That’s not the case, they’re not that useless yet, but who knows how much of the Dominator of All’s power they’ve managed to obtain."
"Hmm, that’s a problem, how’s the situation with the Time Storm?"
Rubbing his chin, Feng Yuan solemnly asked, not knowing what they’ll do with the power from the Dominator of All, but if thrown into Maomu City now, big trouble might ensue.
That thing, anyway, could provoke a terrifying natural disaster, and if the Time Storm isn’t resolved, who knows what horrifying scene might occur when combined with a natural disaster.
"Not clear, those guys are all attracted by this incident now, though Little Crocodile is constantly coordinating to handle the Time Storm situation."
While Agunas’s messages were buried in the flood, Veronia still saw what Agunas said, with the latter mobilizing willing Divine Beasts to assist in handling the Time Storm.
As for the issue of the Dominator of All’s power being stolen, Agunas doesn’t seem to care at all. Veronia isn’t sure what Agunas is up to, yet for Feng Yuan, he feels it might be good news.
"Eh, Agunas is still dealing with it? Tsk, seems like the Time Storm isn’t just a smoke screen."
Recalling the number of Time Storms he sensed last night, Feng Yuan felt a headache. If this was just the first step of an attack, the following trouble could be substantial.
"Hard to say, I feel Maomu City might become a formal attack target at any moment."
Veronia said helplessly, looking at Feng Yuan, wondering if it’s due to Feng Yuan’s presence and prior raid on the Imperial Timeline, despite better targets, they set their sights on Maomu City.
"Tsk, those guys aren’t learning, help me tell Agunas to get in touch with Maomu City’s officials, I’ve got a collaboration request."
With a cold snort, Feng Yuan decided to strike them hard here as well, to prevent them from constantly eying Maomu City. Though he could choose to stand by, having lived here for years, he couldn’t just ignore it completely.
"If you make a big move, there’s no guarantee those guys won’t keep focusing on you."
Veronia gave a warning, mainly because she couldn’t predict what Feng Yuan might do, but one thing is certain: he plans to strike hard.
Yet, having previously blown up the capital of the Mordan Empire didn’t stop them from sticking to Maomu City, will it work this time?
Qi Chen was unaware of Feng Yuan’s situation; returning home last night, after comforting their families with the latest news, they had to sleep anxiously, only to find the Divine Beasts suddenly went crazy early in the morning.
Or rather, those Divine Beasts inexplicably launched a major action.
"They really made a diversion, but what’s actually happened, still unclear."
Dou Yanlan rubbed her chin as she looked at Qi Chen, and Qi Xiaoshuang thought of something, saying
"Can’t we ask Feng Yuan? He surely knows, otherwise guessing here is pointless."
"Can ask, but whether he’s awake now is uncertain, after all, last night..."
Recalling last night’s events, Qi Chen felt helpless; though rationality told him it’s the best choice, the other party wasn’t angry, he still felt somewhat indebted to Feng Yuan.
"Indeed, his waking time is irregular, not sure if he’s awake now."
"To cause such behavior among Divine Beasts, it must be significant, best not to run around today."
Dou Yanlan said, looking at Qi Chen and Qi Xiaoshuang. As for their fathers, there’s no choice now; even for her, it’s inappropriate to ask Feng Yuan to take care of them now.
"I feel, considering this situation, moving in with Feng Yuan might be a good idea."
Qi Xiaoshuang raised her left hand to express her thoughts, thinking given the current circumstances, the Data Domain might also be unsafe, so why not just go find Feng Yuan.
Mainly because if trouble arises, Feng Yuan will surely come to them, better to be together from the start.
"No way, we can’t just guard them; Feng Yuan is currently living at the school dormitory, which isn’t well protected compared to here, going there will just cause trouble."
Qi Chen glared at Qi Xiaoshuang, warning her not to mention it again, Dou Yanlan thought for a moment and said
"The current situation isn’t that dire yet, but this indeed needs to be clarified quickly, otherwise he might worry."
"He?"
Qi Chen and Qi Xiaoshuang looked puzzled at Dou Yanlan, who smiled and said
"That version of you from the Parallel World, they might not tell him the reason, given the Divine Beasts’ anomaly, he might worry."
"Indeed, but... sigh, alright, I’ll ask Feng Yuan, considering he might have awakened by now."
Sighing, Qi Chen reluctantly took out his phone, as for disturbing Feng Yuan’s rest, this might be the only option at the moment.
