The tips of Clara’s sleeves flapped in the air as she remained still in front of Levi, breathing raggedly.
The sensory dagger trembled in her numb fingers. It slipped and clattered onto the marble floor with a sharp clang.
’Why am I losing control of my own self?’ Her cheeks reddened as she shifted her focus to Levi’s chest, as if she wanted to tear his clothes off right there in front of the entire council.

Sharp, cold eyes hurled toward her while she stood there with sweat slowly dripping down her forehead. She tried to speak, but her lips rejected her at that instant when Levi’s system amplified her curiosity into a burning, physical hunger for unwanted secrets.
"I... I sense nothing," she said in a cracked voice that sent hot gasps out of everyone’s mouth, including the very Battle Mage, Lyra Ashveil. "His core is completely empty. It was just a crystal fluctuation."
Lyra let out a sigh of relief, while Vanya remained perfectly still as whispers rose from behind them.
With a single turn of the four judges’ heads, an extreme silence crawled into the hall and caused part of the walls to crack.
"This is ridiculous," the head judge said in a sharp voice, then directed her attention toward the accused. "The committee dismisses all other charges that were brought after this one."
Countless ladies placed their palms over their mouths while trading tense glances between the two accused women in the box and the main conflicted slave.
Levi stood there with completely relaxed shoulders and smiled at the head judge. ’I can’t see her face, but I can tell she is more beautiful than all these ladies. Maybe that’s why they have covered their faces.’
"Levi Sirius is not guilty, but will return to his duties under strict supervision."
The moment every lady stood up ready to turn toward the exit, chilled air gashed into the room when the heavy iron doors of the Grand Hall swung open with a booming crash.
A bright, golden light flooded into the hall and instantly dispelled the shadows.
From inside the light, a woman walked into the hall with four armored, mighty guards at her side. Her white silk robes embroidered with gold threads billowed and pushed away all stale scents with a heavenly aroma.
Her long, golden hair danced behind her and cascaded down her back like liquid light.
Clara’s eyes widened when she saw the full, glorious face of the woman. ’Lilith Orin! The academy’s top-ranked healer, known across the entirety of Aethermoor as the Saintess...’
When Levi looked toward her, the pulsing blue panels shimmered before his eyes.

She locked eyes with Levi the moment she descended to the center, where Levi and the two accusers stood in their distinct boxes. "The boy is lying. I could smell the scent of raw Sovereign Aether on him from afar."
All five judges stood up from their seats, turned toward Lilith, and bowed once. "Saintess Lilith. What brings you to the disciplinary hall?"
Baroness Vanya’s eyes narrowed deep when the saintess singled her out with a piercing glare. ’Did she come because of me?’
"The heavens guided me," Lilith replied in a smooth and steady voice. Soft thuds echoed as she moved toward Clara.
Lilith threw a cold, menacing glance at Levi, then rolled her eyes. "He has corrupted the energetic fields of Instructor Lyra and young Clara."
Her eyebrows knitted when she looked at Instructor Lyra. "I can see the visual distortion in their auras. He is using a forbidden demonic technique that hasn’t been used for millions of years."
’This lady has some nerve,’ Levi thought faintly, then shook his head once. "If you are so certain, Saintess, why don’t you examine me yourself?"
He raised his arms and spread them sideways. "Surely your pure hands can handle a low-rank servant like me."
Lilith’s posture stiffened for a fraction of a second before she masked her expression, breaking her contact with Levi. ’Everyone performs for my approval and begs for my healing touch. Why is this servant different?’
"Very well. I will cleanse the dark energy that has possessed you without your knowledge."
’Dark energy possessing me? Then I will dwell in its waters with a solemn heart and mind.’ Levi inhaled deeply, then nodded once.
Saintess Lilith moved toward Levi and pressed her white palms against his chest. For half a second nothing came, but just as she prepared to pull back, a bright, golden light flared from her skin and forced its way through the servant’s garment.
The moment the golden light seeped through Levi’s skin and reached the Sovereign Aether, a massive clash occurred.
Levi’s bones screamed in his body for him to move back, but he didn’t. He simply stood still and channeled the system’s power directly into her palms. ’Trigger Devotion Inversion.’
