Chapter 44: Activate the Sovereign Aegis: He’s Just a Rat
The news of the Crimson Sovereign’s total defeat swept through the center of Aethermoor like a toxic wildfire as the first night light stretched through the skies.
Students leaned in the shadowy alleyways, whispering about the flying carriage that sent moaning over the entirety of the academy.
Leaves drifted through the front of the holy city’s gate as the midnight giant bird’s howl tore through the skies.
Debris rained down on the floor of the subterranean chambers of the Royal Citadel of Chiraa like gossiping ghosts.
Shadows stretched long on the floor as the scrying crystal lanterns shone their glows sideways, revealing every standing student and noble lady.
White-haired and black-haired ladies with huge, shimmering breasts and lewd bodies that could turn heaven and hell around when seen in broad daylight.
Noona, the Grand Duke’s first precious daughter, leaned on the wall with her arms crossed under her huge, fluffy breasts.
"I heard that slave has taken over the Academy." Sharp air escaped from her sparkling, soft lips as she shifted her gaze to the chamber’s entrance.
Chilled air waved past the front of Noona and lifted the sparkling black hair of Isabella, the second daughter of the Grand Duke, upward.
A sharp, cunning laughter erupted as Isabella moved a step forward and brushed her own hair out of her face. "You said what, a servant?"
Her shoulders relaxed when she saw the calm look on Noona’s face. "What on earth can a servant do to become this famous?"
A silk groaning sound escaped her as she took in a deep breath, then exhaled with a hiss. "Let me tell you something, sis."
A wet slapping sound vibrated through the room as she slammed her right palm at the space above Noona’s head and grinned.
’Why does she always use her body in this stature when speaking to me?’ Noona’s eyebrows raised with anger, but she calmed herself down with a single blink. ’Her arrogance will one day lead her to trouble she won’t see coming.’
She gulped and locked her gaze on Isabella’s lips as if waiting for them to open so she could leave the chamber.
Isabella locked her emerald irises on Noona’s as if her senior sister were a simp without sense. "If the academy’s elders couldn’t calm that rat down, I’m sorry, but he will die before knowing he’s dead."
Her eyes blazed for a second as sharp air gashed out of her mouth and spasmed on Noona’s face like gas.
Weak plaster on the walls reeled out and rained on Noona’s white hair as Isabella pushed herself straight and turned her gaze toward the exit. "He should dwell in the academy but not here."
Soft footsteps echoed, followed by a dancing, elongated shadow as Isabella walked out of the chamber.
Just as she reached the door of the threshold, she stopped for half a second and glanced back, before vanishing.
’Oh, God.’ Noona sighed heavily and cupped her sweet, fleshy face with both palms. "When will Isabella know the difference between a senior and a junior?"
The hairs on her arms rose on end as she brushed her palms on her face and slid them down to her sides.
Her silver gown with tiny sleeve threads holding it together mirrored her movements as she exited.
Sweet howling sounds echoed as the midnight bird’s wailing flew into her ears and followed her until she entered her tower.
The sky above the central city reeled with colorful glows as the first morning light appeared and wiped the midnight glow out.
White oval leaves drifted through the chilled morning breeze as countless elders of the central city walked into the Grand Duke’s chamber, the imperial palace.
Women with mighty and indestructible body structures sat beside the Grand Duke, watching him with analytical gazes as if waiting for him to say the unthinkable. ’Let him also try something bad... and that will be his end.’
Waves of debris slipped down from Grand Duke Charles’s council table at his front when he shifted his attention to his two daughters.
Noona looked back at her father with a wide smile on her face and nodded, but Isabella hissed. freewёbnoνel.com
"Another male servant that needs to be overthrown."
Noona’s smile faltered when she heard the faint murmur from Isabella and glanced at her with a sharp gaze. "He’s your father, Isa."
"Who says I care?" Isabella frowned at Noona and crossed her arms on her chest, pushing her massive assets upward.
She crossed her legs and shifted a warm gaze to her mother, Empress Diana, the mother of the central city and the first in command before the Duke himself. "Mom should be the one to lead and not make her slave have purpose here."
Duke Charles shifted his gaze from Isabella’s indecent reactions and shook his head. He inhaled deeply, then slammed his fist on the obsidian council table, drawing all attention to himself. "The foundational pillars of this continent have already been overturned..."
He blinked when he saw the faint howling wing waving into the chamber like a ghost. "The Holy Capital’s Inquisitor, Mother Beatrice, together with the Saintess of Light, the Academy’s Top Battle Mage, Lyra, and now..."
He gulped when he shifted his gaze back to the council of women and sighed. "...the Crimson Sovereign herself has been bound to this single male utility worker."
A faint flicker of hope lanced through his eyelids, but he blinked and cleared it before anyone could see. But Isabella’s eyelids rose when she caught her father’s inner joyous reaction. ’That’s what he wants, but it won’t last for long.’
The sleeves of Noona’s sleek, silver gown slid down slightly when she cleared her throat and lifted her left arm.
Sparkling light and the sweet fragrance of honey drifted through the chamber as she stood up to speak. "With all those people that servant has been able to bind, he’s no longer a mere anomaly."
She turned and watched the slightly confused but fully angry faces of the council women, including Isabella. "That servant is an existential eradication of our social order. And he must be cautioned and questioned."
"Cautioned and questioned?" Isabella stood up without waiting for the council porter to call her. "Do you even hear yourself, Noona?"
A grim grin lingered on her face as she tilted her gaze slightly downward and mocked Noona for her lack of foresight. "That servant shouldn’t exist."
A bone-crackling sound erupted from her as she clenched her fist and slammed it on the table, directing it toward the Grand Duke, as if he were the one being talked about. "We must see to it that all male servants seeking power are erased from existence."
Isabella’s raging emerald eyes calmed when she saw her mother, Empress Diana, nodding slightly.
"With our Empress Diana’s guidance, the ancient Sovereign Aegis has already been activated." A wide smile tore across Isabella’s face when she saw the scared look on the Grand Duke’s face.
A thin line of sweat snaked down Duke Charles’s forehead while sharp air gashed out of his lungs. ’The ancient Sovereign Aegis? The massive defensive matrix powered by the four high-tier ancestral mechanisms designed to vaporize any invading army.’
A clicking sound echoed on the council table as his fingers began to scratch under the table. "I and any other man will be wiped from existence as well, Empress Diana."
A sharp emerald glow shot from Empress Diana’s eyes and slammed into the forehead of the Grand Duke as she turned toward him. "Well, that’s what needs to be done."
