Chapter 201: Chapter 201: Polite Librarian
Adrian rested as soon they reached their hidden base, his fight with the Shalaxin was exhausting.
Having his head cut off twice was terrible and regenerating a wound of that level drained a large amount of stamina.
But it’s nothing compared the stamina needed to regenerate his heart, he could still vividly remember the emptiness he felt.
It was like there was a metaphorical hole deep inside him but what was terrifying was that.
He felt as if the hole led somewhere, somewhere deep and dark where something even darker slumbered.
At that time when he lost his heart, he remembered his experience with the blood res sea of metal.
He shook his head and went to sleep, in his dreams he found himself in a ball with ladies and gentlemen dancing in a circle.
Across him were two massive thrones standing above watching the ball room and the people dancing.
Adrian had learnt more about those two and he knew better than the first time they met so he bowed his head.
" Greetings your Highnesses." He greeted them in a humble tone. Adrian didn’t do this out of fear but respect.
After all, these two were rulers of an entire realm, they stood even above the leaders of the races back in the Realm beyond the mist.
The two smiled gently at him then suddenly appeared in front of him, their next actions caught Adrian by suprised.
They both bowed to him returning the greeting, " Greetings to you king of the high moon."
Adrian raised his eyebrow, he had never been called that before she frankly he didn’t think he deserved it.
Considering so many fairytale creatures were real, he figured the Gods might be as well.
And he knew there were multiple gods associated with the moon, surely they deserved that title more than he.
It seemed the rulers of the fairies saw through his thoughts but they didn’t clarify, they giggled instead.
" Why have you summoned me to your ball if I may enquire?" Adrian asked because he genuinely couldn’t understand it.
" Why? Do you not like our little party king of the high moon!" The fairy queen asked with a raised eyebrow.
" I meant no disrespect but I do not think I’m worthy of an invite to the ball of the fairies thus my confusion."
She giggled in a soft heavenly voice, " I was merely teasing you little one." The playfulness on her face disappeared.
" We summoned you here to warn you, whatever happens, do not let the last of the 13.."
Before she could finish the realm shook and cracked, an expression of terror was drawn on their faces.
The fairy king tried to talk to Adrian but before he could hear anything he suddenly woke up on his bed.
He was sweating so much the bed was looked like Ike somebody had poured water on it.
" What happened?" Annie asked with a worried face.
He looked at her and shook his head, " I’m not exactly sure." He closed his eyes to remember but felt a splitting headache instead.
He shook his head, " I’m sorry, I really can’t remember."
She nodded, " That’s okay, you need to rest and regain your strength then you can decide where we go from here."
He nodded, he slept for days, when he woke up, it was only three days away from the next full moon.
" We’ll talk after the full moon, for now, you must all rest, it’s time we catch a break." Adrian contacted the other werewolves. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
Diego, Isabella and Sanchez and Annie contacted her siblings. They told them everything that had happened.
Three days went by, the full moon passed, the werewolves waited for the Adrian to give them directions but he didn’t.
Adrian spent most of his time locked up in his room with Annie. " Are you sure this is a good idea?"
She asked and he shook his head, " I don’t know but they’re too reliant on us, their teamwork during that fight was unsatisfactory.
They need to plan out our next course of action and we’ll review them but if we keep making all the decisions, we’ll be exhausted.
Don’t forget, I plan for the pack to grow much larger than this, do you plan to manage everything when there are a hundred thousand werewolves?"
She sighed, he was right, she couldn’t manage that, it would exhaust her so she snuggled up in bed with him.
Of course he didn’t spend that time idle, besides spicy sleep with Annie, he also spent his time mastering the active control of his esper.
Just like that, one week went by, Adrian realised things weren’t as simple as he thought they would be.
Even though he could control his esper, spreading it out of his body was incredibly hard. frёewebnoѵēl.com
Every time he tried, the esper would just dissipate and merge with the ambient esper around him.
He tried using lunar realm to cheat but it still didn’t work. Lunar realm itself would crumble instead.
’ It seems I can’t use lunar realm as a domain but why?’ he couldn’t figure that out, based on how the ability works.
Using it as the foundation for his domain should’ve been easy but it was anything but, it was like trying to run forward and backwards at the same time.
He got dressed and for the first time since the full moon left his room but to avoid others he teleported.
He appeared deep beneath the mountain where the new library sat. He started browsing through the books.
However he could feel a pair of eyes following him, when he turned there was nobody there.
Of course he knew who was following him, he could clearly smell her and hear her heavy breathing.
" Hahhhhhh." Adrian sighed, " You can come out Naija I know you’re there." He continued browsing.
Naija showed up behind him and immediately went on her knees. " My lord, it’s my greatest pleasure for you to visit this humble place of mine."
Adrian looked at her with a raised eyebrow, " Why are you surprised? You are aware this is my library right? I own it."
Naija looked to the side as if embarrassed, Adrian couldn’t help but thing she was getting weirder with each passing day.
" Well my lord, it’s just that it’s usually the lady who comes here, I believed my lord saw being able to read as beneath him."
" Di..did you just politely call me illiterate?"
