Chapter 1593: Chapter 1593: Dear Human Friends, It’s a Pleasure to Meet You

A monkey keeps mashing keys on a typewriter, and someday it might type out the complete works of Shakespeare.

People often use the analogy of monkeys and typewriters to explain that even if something has very low probability, given an infinitely long timeframe, it is bound to happen.

Many believe that amidst the vast universe, with countless planets, even if the probability of a planet giving birth to life is low, Humans are certainly not the only intelligent life in the universe.

Therefore, when scientists announced this conjecture, many scoffed at it.

The reason scientists announced this conjecture so early was actually to inoculate the people of this world.

A monkey might mash out the complete works of Shakespeare, but after achieving this, how long would it take them to do it again if they continue randomly pressing?

No one can prove the universe is truly infinite, maybe after expanding for countless years, it has its boundaries.

The universe has only been around for over 13 billion years.

Finite age multiplied by finite boundaries, multiplied by the possibility of life...

Perhaps, the universe has only ever produced one civilization, maybe.

In the universe, it is difficult to exceed the speed of light; the starry sky Humans see from their planet is from hundreds of years ago.

The light observed now does not represent that the planet in that position lacks life.

This vast universe may have indeed had other life-bearing planets that possibly birthed civilizations. They just couldn’t escape disasters caused by various reasons.

Human exploration continues, and to definitively determine no life exists on a planet, more precise evidence is needed.

To gain completely precise evidence, landing on the planet for actual observation is required.

Thus, through national voting, Humans selected three potentially life-bearing Earth-like planets, and their interstellar exploration ships launched high-tech probes for exploration.

As a child, Fengte watched those three thrilling probes with his parents.

Unexpectedly, the high-tech probe they launched, having traveled over mountains and seas, found no trace of life whatsoever.

The "green jungle" of one planet was nothing but green glass exposed by chance.

The results at that time left everyone incredulous.

The possibility that Humans might be alone slowly settled in people’s hearts.

Fervor faded, leaving only bleakness; the once buzzing discussions on extraterrestrial life in the streets were swept into the dustbin of history.

Humans gradually accepted defeat.

Sometimes, however, change often arises in unexpected places.

A few years after the grand exploration, a large cosmic exploration ship built collectively by Humans received a message:

"Friends of Humanity, it is a pleasure to meet you."

This message instantly reignited the dormant flame, people cheered and restored their zeal for exploring the universe.

But many expressed doubt, indulging in the conspiracy theory that "it’s just a fake message released by the government to rekindle our enthusiasm."

Subsequent intelligence from the exploration ship dispelled the conspiracy theory:

"I am immensely surprised that you could build such a colossal thing and come so far.

Your capabilities have certainly earned my attention.

My name is ’Black Spade,’ the goddess who created this world.

In the near future, I will lead my Favored Clan to pay you a visit.

I hope we can engage in an utterly peaceful dialogue, jointly explore the fate of the universe."

Along with this message came a huge photograph of a dazzling light in the universe.

No one expected this outcome.

A goddess? God?

Does such a thing truly exist in this world?

Perhaps only by seeing for themselves can they know.

Before the deities descended upon this world, Humans living in the world had multiple guesses about the identity of the deity, roughly divided into two factions:

The faction that believes "this world truly has a deity, and it was created by a god," and the faction that believes "there’s no deity in this world, the deity is merely another disguised advanced civilization with secrets they cannot disclose."

Amidst all sorts of discussions, the goddess truly descended upon the world with her Favored Clan.

Representing all of humanity, heads of various sectors met with the "goddess" and the "Angel," with the meeting video broadcasted live to the entire world.

Those supporting the goddess, upon seeing her, were overwhelmed by her brilliance, further affirming their beliefs;

The faction that believed the goddess was an advanced civilization, upon seeing the goddess and her Favored Clan exactly as depicted in books, further solidified their beliefs that the so-called goddess was just a more advanced civilization. They suspected ulterior motives behind their mythological appearance.

The goddess’s visit was brief; she merely showed her face before everyone, said a few words, and it was over.

After concluding, the goddess and Angel passed through a Teleportation Gate near the Moon, disappearing entirely.

What happened next was beyond anyone’s expectations.

After the goddess’s arrival, those who believed in her gradually coalesced into a faction, with religion starting to make a comeback in society.

Although bearing the name Sect, the Luka Sect exists to better enable people to accept knowledge and comprehend the existence of the world.

It wouldn’t demand effort from anyone for others’ benefits or the fairy tales others wove.

The world’s leaders quickly noticed this.

After multiple careful deliberations, the world’s leaders leaned more towards the view that "the goddess now appearing here is just a civilization slightly more advanced than ours."

They decided to smile and observe the goddess’s sudden appearance.

But years later, the speed of development of the Goddess Sect far exceeded their expectations.

People no longer used the science they once believed in to explain everything happening in life, but instead adopted various mysticisms.

Many frontline workers who once contributed to humanity gradually became entrapped in it.

The world’s leaders quickly understood that this might be the goddess’s reason for disclosing her identity; she likely intends to build ordinary civilization’s trust in them and simultaneously stifle their civilization’s development non-violently.

Even though technology of that era already included memory implantation and reducing learning costs, it was impossible for everyone to use such technology, with most relying on online knowledge to protect themselves.

With technological advances, reducing learning cost technology would someday become widespread, allowing everyone to gain Wisdom from knowledge.

But in that era, it was still a minority pushing history forward.

Those who were not utilized found their talents wasted and naturally blamed external factors for some issues; this part of emotion was the easiest to exploit.
