Chapter 1485: Eat
"..."
Looking at Moli, whose expression was unclear whether it was excitement or apology, Fisher was momentarily alarmed because he could feel that everything the Whale-man girl before him said was serious, especially the part about "unable to resist."
By rights, such things hardly counted as punishment or bullying to Fisher. Although not as simple as eating or drinking, they were a common occurrence and he should accept them graciously.
After all, considering Helair’s precedent, he wasn’t unable to accept female dominance against the Heavens. However, at this moment, his soul was extremely thirsty, and he was greatly worried that slackening his rationality would lead to a massive mistake.
For instance, just now, he was exerting all his strength to control his soul from extending outward. Changes in his appearance were minor; if he accidentally devoured part of their souls, that would be something Fisher could not accept.
This had happened before, when he devoured part of Erwin’s soul, causing an extremely severe impact on his rationality. Not to mention, even recently when reading the Life Completion Manual, her shadow still lingered within him.
Moreover, Fisher did not know what consequence devouring someone’s soul would bring about because Erwin hadn’t told him before death overtook her and she turned to ash. He dared not imagine what if Moli suffered the same fate.
Thinking of this, Fisher swallowed nervously but still seized the opportunity to maneuver,
"Moli, Elliog is a Demon and is currently furious; this thing is not simple, you don’t know..."
"Pa!"
But before Fisher could finish his words, Moli swung her electrified whip and the sound akin to thunder drowned out his speech.
Subsequently, Moli spoke,
"But, Mr. Fischer, I don’t want to hear your explanation anymore..."
As she walked toward the bed, she continued,
"But even if Elliog is a Demon, Mr. Fischer still has significant connections with her, right?"
"Significant connections" was quoted from the great Book Knight Sir Emhart minutes ago at the door.
"I..."
Greedy Fisher could not refute the facts; he surely knew that arguing would have no effect, and of course, an honest answer would surely invite punishment.
Luckily, Moli seemed not to wait for his response, merely pursing her lips before slowly stepping forward, tightly wrapping the electrified rope around Fisher’s wrists. Instantly, a weak current erupted from his wrists, coursing up through his arms to his spine, leaving him completely numb and powerless to resist.
"That one named Paimon... isn’t she also... an evil Demon? Yet Mr. Fischer... never cared about that while being involved with them, did he?"
Moli stepped back slightly, looking at Fisher, who was bound, her expression was both apologetic and satisfied, but her words continued relentlessly,
"Moreover, Mr. Fischer doesn’t care about which race his beloved belongs to. Earlier, I was happy about this, as Mr. Fischer, being Human, could look at me with a peaceful gaze; now I am troubled, as it makes it a luxury for Mr. Fischer to keep his eyes solely on me...
"You said Elliog is a Demon... it seems that Mr. Fischer is quite pleased with such evil Demons; the worse those women are, the more Mr. Fischer can’t help himself... contrary to that, it seems like I, being a well-behaved student, am boring to Mr. Fischer, isn’t it?"
Moli spoke calmly, her gaze scanning all of Fisher like she was seizing evidence of evil crime. Her tone grew more assertive, transforming from initial narrative into sentences like the final verdict of a chief judge in a courtroom...
Moli’s judgment to suspect Fisher is as follows,
"For actions like Mr. Fischer’s, a good punishment is necessary."
"Moli..."
Her eyes seemed to harbor some sinister scarlet shadow, then she nudged her right foot with her left, repeating the action to remove the boots covering her feet, exposing the snow-white cotton socks beneath — as shoes were unneeded under the Sea Floor, Moli opted for loose, easy-to-remove footwear on land.
Then, she pulled closer the rack filled with various tools behind her, stepped sideways onto Elliog’s soft bed, and gazed down at Fisher.
Feeling a surge of a heated soul approaching, Fisher’s body’s craving for souls grew stronger. The edges of his bound hands began to stir more intensely, and the Magic Circuits hidden beneath his clothes started to illuminate.
His endurance gradually reached its limit, but he didn’t know if Moli mistook these signs as proof of his excitement, causing her to advance more firmly without retreat.
He gritted his teeth, about to reveal the current state of his soul to Moli, when her voice reached him,
"Ever since coming to the Dragon Court, Mr. Fischer’s eyes have been fixed on Rafael, always with her; you both cherish each other... presumably, Mr. Fischer is here to help address those two Demons hidden within the Human Alliance also for Rafael, isn’t he?"
