Chapter 82: Chapter 82 Roman.

"Whoa, easy, Roman!" Dante cried out. That’s just her stage name — "

"Shut up, pussy!" I snarled, strong-arming him out of the way.

I stepped right up to her, my angel, looking like a prisoner in this den of scum, and stared into those beautiful eyes that had pierced right through me last night on the steps of the museum.

Her outfit was trashy, something sexy meant to appeal to the most basic nature of men.

It was like putting ketchup on a New York strip steak, and it killed me to see her in it.

She smelled just like I remembered, and instantly my body came alive for her. Only this time I didn’t just want to take her and have her to myself; I wanted to save her.

"Are you all right, angel?" I asked.

She didn’t respond but she didn’t need to; I could see the sadness in her eyes, the embarrassment. I knew the situation instantly — she was being forced into this.

"The fuck is this girl doing here, Dante?" I snarled, snatching him by the collar of his corny leather trench coat. “What do you have on her!?"

"She — I brought her for you!" the little cuck stammered. I had zero respect for someone who basically trafficked in women.

“This girl!?” I roared.

“You said you wanted a fresh one! She just started tonight!"

“You son of a bitch!” I hurled him aside, sending him toppling over the low table to crash into the wall. "This girl obviously is here against her will!"

The poor beauty looked absolutely terrified, and I knew my outburst wasn’t actually helping, so I turned to her and took a deep breath. I let her know with my eyes that nothing was going to happen to her.

"Don’t worry, angel. I’m not going to hurt you," I said as gently as I could. “No one is. Just tell me why you’re here."

Her lips trembled and she hid her face from me, but I lifted her chin and looked into her eyes.

"Tell me," I repeated.

“I owe him money,” she said.

There it is...

The anger swelled in me like a balloon ready to pop and threatened to overwhelm me. I was a man of control, a man who never lost his temper, but this had me right on the fucking edge.

"How much fucking money?" I asked, turning to Dante, who was picking himself up.

“What?"

“How much money?!” I repeated. "How much money does this girl owe you!?"

"Fi-fifty thousand," he stammered.

I turned to Stringer, who was standing behind me, and nodded.

“Fifty?" he asked. "I’m not sure I brought that much."

"Get it from the rest of the men," I growled.

The troops knew better than to ask questions and quickly pulled out their stacks and handed them to Stringer. I turned back to my angel and took her hand in mine. It was soft and warm, but also trembling, "Don’t be afraid," I told her again. “I’m going to get you out of here.”

"You — you don’t have to do this," she replied. The sass from last night was gone, crushed beneath her fear of what was being done to her.

I knew what she was thinking: first she owed money to a sleazy strip club owner, and now she owed it to a crime boss. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

"I am doing this, angel," I said firmly. "And you won’t owe me a penny. Understand?”

“But I —”

"I’m paying off your debt. Free and clear. That’s all there is to it."

Her lips shook as her cheeks blushed with pure innocence.

Despite my rage and the purity of my actions, impure thoughts about what I wanted to do to her began racing through my mind and my cock began to pulse beneath my pants.

"Got it, boss," Stringer said into my ear.

“Pay the man," I growled, not taking my eyes off her.

“I don’t know what to say, Roman," Dante said.

"Don’t say anything, dickhead. But if I see you anywhere near this girl again, I’ll break every one of your fingers, and that’s if I’m in a good mood. Got it?"

“You got it, Roman!" he replied.

He was scared, but he’d also just scored a huge pay day and I could hear the excitement in his voice.

He was a man with no principals — a man who cared about nothing but money and men like that never get far in life.

"Come on," I told her. "Let’s get you out of here. But first, tell me your name. Your real name."

Her lips quivered as she opened her mouth, and her hand was starting to sweat in mine. When she spoke, her voice was barely a whisper.

"Felicity..."

"Felicity," I smiled, as the anger inside me began to subside. “Nice to meet you, Felicity. I’m Roman, Roman Reigns. And I’m going to get you out of here."

I turned to Stringer and nodded again. He’d keep the party going and make sure the boys had a good time while I got my angel to safety. Dante would comp the rest of the crew if they were short. They’d be back to pay up later, and if not, I didn’t give a shit.

Her hand in mine, I led her out the door of the VIP room, down the stairs, past the bouncer, and through the crowd to the back entrance reserved for special guests. My Bentley was waiting for me and I held the door for her.

“This is your car?" she asked hesitantly.

"One of them," I smiled. “Get in. Let’s get away from this dump."

It took her a second, but she climbed in the passenger side, and I closed the door behind her. I got in and quickly pulled out of the lot and headed for home.

I had a new house in Newton that was normally a half hour away, but I was in a hurry, and we made it back in just under twenty. The guards opened the gate, and I parked out front, and like a chauffeur, came around her side and opened the door for her.

"Come on," I said, taking her hand again. “Let’s get you out of those clothes."

Her eyes went wide, and she hesitated.

“Not like that, angel," I smiled.

"Into something more comfortable. I know you hate wearing that."

She didn’t answer, but a smile peaked through her eyes as I led her up the steps and into the house. She tried to hide her reaction to the brand-new marble foyer and crystal chandelier but failed miserably. A gasp escaped her lips, but I didn’t want to make things more awkward for her, and simply led her upstairs to one of the spare rooms.

I wanted to take her and ravish her right then and there.

My dick was a rocket ready for liftoff, screaming to be let loose, but Felicity wasn’t ready for that...

...at least not yet.

"Wait here," I told her. I pulled away, but she held my hand like she didn’t want me to go. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

"Don’t worry, you’ll be safe. This place is safer than the White House. I’m just going to my room to get you a robe."

"I–can you just take me with you?" she asked gently. Her doe eyes looked up at me with a purity a man in my profession was rarely privy to, and I absolutely melted for her.

"Sure, you can," I told her.

"Come on."

I led Felicity down the hall to the master bedroom and brought her inside. I could hardly believe what I was doing. Technically, Felicity was a stranger, and strangers didn’t belong this deep into my domain. But for some reason, I knew I could trust Felicity. She wasn’t a liar, a thief, a plant from a rival organization, or a spy for the feds; she was just a girl who was down on her luck who’d completely captured my heart.
