Chapter 325: Chapter 81: Golden Seal Jade Tower, Immortal Friends and Malicious Guests

The azure sky stretched vast and empty above the boundless, sprawling marsh below.

From a distance, islands dotted the Abyssal Marsh like stars. The waves were magnificent, and the turquoise waters seemed to merge with the clear blue sky.

Between the water and the sky drifted an auspicious, five-colored cloud. Upon it stood eleven male and female Immortal Cultivators, who soared across the heavens, piercing through the clouds.

Their flight was so swift and powerful that whenever they plunged into an oncoming bank of clouds, they would shatter the mountain-like formations. In their wake, the surrounding white clouds couldn’t withstand the turbulence, breaking apart into scattered tufts of shredded cotton that danced across the sky.

Under the brilliant sun, it was as if a vast, roiling sea of clouds had been scattered with rainbow-hued silk, creating a spectacle of unparalleled beauty.

This auspicious cloud had been conjured by a spell from Fang Cheng. Ten True Disciples stood silently upon it, their expressions solemn.

Many of them had been cultivating for longer than Fang Cheng, but the Yinluo Sect had always valued strength above all else. Facing this Elder Fang, whose fame shook the Abyssal Marsh, they all appeared somewhat reserved.

He was no ordinary Inner Sect Elder. Before they came, their masters and family elders had warned them that this man would very likely become the next Peak Master of Demon Lion Peak. They were to be cautious and under no circumstances show any disrespect.

In the blink of an eye, they reached the South Shore of the Daze. The Southern Mang Mountains lay stretched between heaven and earth like a colossal, verdant barrier.

Fang Cheng halted the cloud’s light and glanced around, smiling. "How about we welcome our guests here?"

The ten True Disciples naturally had no objections. One of them, a female disciple with a beautiful and dignified face, said, "This is an excellent location, Elder. This is Lingyu Pass of the Southern Mang Mountains. Most Cultivators coming from the south have to pass through here."

Fang Cheng glanced at the woman. Seeing her poised and captivating demeanor, he asked, "What is your name?"

The female disciple gave a gentle smile and curtsied gracefully. "Replying to the Elder, this disciple is Xiao Xiyue of Cuimei Peak."

Fang Cheng nodded. "Good. Later, you will stay here with me to hold the fort. When the guests arrive, you will organize the others to escort them to Yingxian Hall."

Xiao Xiyue nodded in agreement.

With a wave of his wide sleeve, Fang Cheng sent a brilliant golden seal flying out.

The moment the seal appeared, it swelled in the wind, instantly growing to a hundred zhang tall, like a golden mountain presiding majestically in the sky.

It was majestic and imposing, its aura powerful—a truly grand and eye-catching display.

Seeing this, the True Disciples were all stunned.

A Third-tier Magical Artifact!

It was the same reaction Fang Cheng had when he first saw a Third-tier Magical Artifact back when he had just entered the Life Talisman Realm.

To an Early-stage Life Talisman Cultivator, a Third-tier Magical Artifact was an exceedingly rare sight.

This golden seal was a trophy of war, acquired back in the Wilderness Domain when Fang Cheng killed the Young Master of the Rakshasa Sect.

Now, it would serve perfectly well to bolster the Yinluo Sect’s prestige and put on a bit of a show.

Fang Cheng performed a spell on the golden seal. With a point of his finger, a Jade Tower radiating multicolored light suddenly appeared atop the mountain-sized seal.

Everyone saw that the pavilion had three stories and was constructed entirely of green jade. With pearlescent railings, jeweled steps, golden doors, and kingfisher-green beams, it was carved with clouds and moons—a stately and incomparably magnificent sight.

It was, astonishingly, a Tier Two Immortal Tower.

This tower had been obtained from the Female Sword Immortal of the Spirit Moon Sect.

Fang Cheng beckoned for Xiao Xiyue and the others to come upstairs. Inside, the furnishings were complete and overwhelmingly luxurious. Amidst the brocade stools, patterned tables, jade desks, and crystal beds, a touch of antiquity lent the opulent scene a unique, stately elegance.

The top floor of the Jade Tower was an open hall, its furnishings even more exquisite than those of the lower two floors. Green jade railings, exquisitely and delicately carved, surrounded it. An ethereal, immortal aura drifted about, creating a truly marvelous atmosphere.

The disciples were inwardly shocked. ’An ordinary Second-Order Magical Artifact could never have such a presence. This Elder Fang’s resources truly run deep.’

Fang Cheng then produced a Tier Two Magical Ship, another Magical Artifact looted from the Female Sword Immortal’s storage pouch. He said to Xiao Xiyue, "When the guests arrive later, you will use this ship to travel between here and Yingxian Hall."

Xiao Xiyue said, "Rest assured, Elder. We will certainly take good care of the guests."

As she spoke, she retrieved many rare fruits and several jars of fine nectarlike wine from her own storage pouch, arranging them on the jade desk. She smiled and said, "Elder, these are some Spirit Wine and other drinks this disciple makes in her spare time. I wonder if they are suitable for serving our guests?"

Fang Cheng picked up the Spirit Wine and took a sip. It was sweet, crisp, and had a long, pleasant aftertaste. Although it didn’t contain much Spiritual Power, it had a unique and delightful flavor.

He said, "They’re more than enough to keep up appearances."

The group sat on the top floor of the Jade Tower, sipping wine, eating fruit, and chatting idly as they waited for guests.

Seeing that Fang Cheng was easygoing and didn’t put on airs, and that his words were witty, the True Disciples began to relax a little.

The female disciples in particular found themselves getting along splendidly with Fang Cheng, their silver-bell-like laughter ringing out from time to time, making the atmosphere quite cheerful.

After waiting for half a day, Fang Cheng’s expression suddenly shifted, and he looked toward the southern sky.

"Our immortal guests have arrived." Fang Cheng chuckled, rising to his feet and walking out of the Jade Tower.

Everyone looked up to see that the southern sky was as clear as if it had been washed, without a single wisp of cloud. Only in the southeast did a patch of colored clouds slowly drift. After flying over the waters of the Abyssal Marsh, the cloud suddenly accelerated, arriving near the great Golden Light Seal in the blink of an eye.

The colored cloud dissipated, and seven beams of Escape Light descended. They landed before the Jade Tower atop the golden seal, revealing the forms of seven men and women.

The leader was a young woman who looked to be about twenty-three or twenty-four. She wore a lotus-pink silk robe tied at the waist with a silken sash, a jade-green sal-tree-leaf cloud shawl draped over her shoulders, silk stockings, and vermilion shoes. In her hand, she held a Duster. With her elegant, upswept hair and graceful, immortal bearing, she was utterly stunning.

Just as Fang Cheng was about to ask for the guests’ names and titles, the beautiful young woman spoke first with a smile. "I am Ling Yue, here representing the Ling Family of Divine Pillar Mountain to attend the ceremony. My congratulations to your esteemed sect’s Master Sun on his great immortal achievement."

For the Cultivators of Yun Country, reaching the Life Soul Realm was already the greatest possible achievement on the path of cultivation.
