Chapter 562: Chapter 480: After the Battle (Double Length)
To put it plainly, this is a suppression of knowledge among scholars of the same type.
But what is Clark facing?
Hundreds of Seventh Level Wizards studying different Laws, and thousands of Sixth Level Wizards mastering different domains.
Their attacks encompass dozens of completely different Law systems.
Yet Clark can still easily counter them.
Previously, Jeming thought that Clark used some advanced technique to suppress those Laws from a higher level.
Now it seems...
It is indeed a technical suppression.
But more than that, it’s purely "numerical overpowering"!
Jeming previously speculated how strong the combat power of Living Planes would become once Starfall Wizard’s techniques were expanded.
Now, it’s clear, witnessed directly and clearly.
"No wonder Starfall Wizard can obtain a First Level cultivation protocol..."
Jeming thought so and turned to exchange a glance with Viola.
Both saw the same shock in each other’s eyes, the same realization, and the same...
Excitement.
Excitement for knowledge, excitement for unknown paths, excitement for "it turns out it can be this way."
Almost simultaneously, the two jolted up from the metal lounge chair, chasing after Clark’s direction.
As Wizards, their interest in the unknown instantly surpassed their reverence for their mentor.
Viola ran faster than Jeming, as she was a Sixth Level, her physical and mental responses far superior to Jeming.
In a few breaths, she caught up with Clark, sidling up to the mentor with an irrepressible excitement on her face.
Fortunately, she still retained some rationality, choosing to start the conversation with something else:
"Mentor! You look in a good mood! Did you gain anything from this battle?"
Clark’s steps didn’t stop.
"Not bad." He said, "This battle allowed me to touch several new Laws. The ’Discord Growth’ from the Chaos Secret Sect, the ’Positive and Negative Annihilation’ from the Tower of Annihilation, and a few special Laws I’ve not seen before, which should be special branches researched by the Tower of Annihilation."
His tone was very calm, as if talking about "today’s lunch dishes being good."
But to Jeming and Viola, it was no less than a thunderstrike.
In one battle... learned several new Laws?!
Moreover, it sounds like the opponent’s bottom-drawer secrets, obviously the core Laws not meant to be shared?!
Jeming leaned over to Clark’s other side with an amazed face:
"Mentor, your speed in learning and researching new Laws... has it reached this level already?"
Clark turned his head, looked at Jeming.
"It’s just inferring" he explained still simply, "Once you have mastered enough ’basic Laws’ and understood the ’connection rules’ between them, new Laws no longer appear as mysteries needing to be solved from scratch."
"They are more like new machines made from components you already know, arranged in a new way."
"All you need to do is to dissect it, see which components it uses, how these components are connected, and why this connection produces new functions."
"Then, you’ve learned it."
Jeming opened his mouth, unable to speak for a while.
It sounds... very reasonable.
...as if!!!
How is this different from putting an elephant in a refrigerator?!
How familiar must one be with the "known components" to dissect at a glance and learn?!
But this realization also made the two even more excited.
"Mentor, do you think I have the aptitude to learn this?!"
"Yes, yes, and me too!"
"You two? Hehehe..."
The three of them thus chatted as they walked into the depths of the fortress compound.
