Chapter 511: Chapter 441: Void Battleship

Arriving at the door of Professor Clark’s office, which seemed simple but whose internal space had been expanded through multiple foldings, Jeming knocked gently.

"Come in."

A flat voice responded.

Jeming pushed the door open and entered.

The interior looked almost unchanged from his memory.

Piles of ancient Scrolls coexisted harmoniously with flickering data screens, and the air was filled with the faint scent of beast-skin parchment mixed with energy ink.

Professor Clark sat behind the broad desk, still looking like the slightly tired scholar with a worrying hairline, dressed in a gray robe so plain it was almost worn out.

He was staring intently at an extremely complex light screen in front of him, which displayed symbols and formulas flowing beyond Jeming’s comprehension.

Hearing Jeming’s footsteps, he only slightly raised his eyes and nodded.

"You’re here."

The tone was flat, as if greeting a student he saw every day.

"Professor, it’s time." Jeming respectfully performed a wizard’s salute. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

Professor Clark responded with a faint "Hmm," his fingers swiftly sliding across the light screen, seemingly completing a verification node, and then casually closing the light screen.

He stood up, tidied his actually unwrinkled robe sleeves, and looked at Jeming.

"Let’s go."

There was no pre-battle discussion, no visible special preparations, not even a hint of tension.

That calm demeanor suggested they weren’t about to handle an uncontrollable Living Plane capable of threatening multiple High Tier Wizards, but merely going out for a meal or researching some material in the library.

Jeming was long used to this, feeling even more at ease in his heart.

He understood well his mentor’s character.

Seemingly indifferent and reticent, but extremely meticulous in action.

Beneath this facade of "being unprepared," he must have completed all necessary simulations, prepared all plans, and arranged all trump cards.

Professor Clark wouldn’t do anything he wasn’t confident in, much less risk his students’ safety.

"Yes, Professor."

Jeming didn’t ask a single question, just nodded respectfully and followed Professor Clark into the small teleportation array permanently set in the office.

Light flickered, and space shifted.

When their vision cleared again, they found themselves in an unfamiliar environment.

This was a standard metal room, with walls, floors, and ceilings made of some sort of matte silvery-gray alloy, etched with dense yet orderly energy-flow patterns.

The air was slightly cool, with a unique freshness of a recycling purification system, along with a very faint trace of isolated void radiation.

Jeming instinctively cast Scouting Witchcraft, instantly perceiving the energy flow and structural information around him.

"This energy operation method... this isn’t a fixed base... it’s a mobile vessel." A trace of surprise flickered in his eyes as he examined more carefully, "The energy core is located in the middle and rear, with extraordinary power... the outer wall structure is compounded with at least seven different characteristic defensive materials... the internal space folding coefficient is very high... and there are standard shipboard gravitational fields and eco-maintenance systems..."

He couldn’t help but marvel inwardly.

He recognized it already, this was a warship capable of long-term navigation in the endless Chaotic Void!

Moreover, from the perceived energy level and structural complexity, it was by no means a standard mass-produced item, but a high-grade customized or modified masterpiece.

"Senior Sister Viola really splurged this time..." Jeming thought to himself.

The value of such a void warship probably wouldn’t be cheaper than a relatively barren small-sized Plane.

It seemed her level of concern for this mission far exceeded what she showed on the surface.

Just then, a spherical silver Mechanical Body silently rolled up to them, emitting a gentle, neutral electronic voice: "Lord Clark, Lord Jeming, Lady Viola is waiting in the control room, please follow me."

The Mechanical Body led the way, and the two followed, traversing through similarly styled metal corridors.

Along the way, they occasionally saw other Mechanical Bodies performing maintenance tasks, the interior of the warship orderly, yet almost devoid of live crew members, with an extremely high degree of automation.

Soon, they reached the control room at the front of the warship.

The heavy alloy gate slid open sideways, revealing a more expansive space before their eyes.

Directly ahead was a massive curved observation window... or rather, some more advanced porthole display system.

The sides and back walls were filled with layer upon layer of control consoles, screens, and data stream display panels.

Many of the panels had no human operators, yet they continued to function automatically.

Viola stood beside the central control console.

Compared to when they met five years ago on the Purgatory Sulfur Plane, her face showed more signs of fatigue, with dark circles faintly tinging her eyes, evident of the great deal of Heart Power she had expended recently.

Yet her eyes remained sharp, her posture still upright.

"Professor, junior." Viola nodded briefly at the two, a greeting, her tone lacking the usual casualness and carrying a bit more seriousness, "The situation is temporarily stable, but the internal Spiritual fluctuation peaks are becoming more frequent. Let’s take our positions first."

Jeming’s attention was completely drawn to the scene outside the porthole.

Outside, there wasn’t a starry scene, but an expanse indescribable by conventional colors, like paint spilled everywhere and violently stirred.

This was the Chaotic Void.

Here, there was no concept of up, down, left, or right, no stable matter, only distorted light and shadow, fragmented material pieces, and silently surging void energy turbulence.

In this chaos "not far" away, a spherical area stood out conspicuously.

It appeared vibrant yet possessed a certain discordant green, like an emerald inlaid on a chaotic canvas.

This was the plane controlled by the Starfall Wizard—the "Fallen Star Plane" as projected externally in the Chaotic Void, its Plane barriers manifested.

However, at this moment, this layer of green Plane barrier had been overlaid by something even more conspicuous, even somewhat sinister.

Multiple unimaginably large crimson Arrays wrapped the green Plane barrier like layers of chains and nets.

These Arrays composed of countless extremely complex Runes and energy structures floated silently in the void, rotating slowly and emanating an oppressive energy wave.

The crimson glow mirrored the green of the Plane barrier, forming a bizarre and striking area in the void.

Plane Binding Device... and it seems that it has been preemptively activated and is in a standby suppression state.

Jeming gazed at the green Plane heavily encased in crimson Arrays outside the window, taking a slow breath.

It seemed that Senior Sister Viola’s so-called "taking a look at the situation" had from the beginning been prepared for the worst outcome.
