Although it hadn’t directly activated and instead sent off a small pulse to scan through the interior of the treasury, Xuan Hao understood that there was no way for him to dodge from this small pulse.
Not because it was impossible for him to himself from this pulse of energy sweeping through the treasury, but instead because it had already sent off a warning somewhere else and would soon enough result in a senior member of the cultivator alliance arriving to inspect the treasury in person.
That and the second he moved anything within the treasury; it would be detected by this strange pulse... And he had already swept up the three heavenly earthly treasures by the time the pulse got to the deepest part of the treasury. Moving towards the scrolls on cultivation and different combat techniques stored in the middle section of the treasury.

Because of this, the treasury formation soon enough gave off a loud rumbling sound as the formation activated to seal off the treasury and kill him, the intruder-

But before it had the time to seal off the treasury, the originally invisible hole he had created in the formation to sneak inside was detected and in turn squeezed by the treasury formation that attempted to close this hole to no avail, as the divine sense still present within that small hole in the formation allowed him to react in time and forcibly pry open the hole from the original invisible size into a more than one meter large hole that the treasury formation had a difficult time closing because of the fact that it was being forcibly kept open with his strength at the Late Stage of the Land Creation.
Strong as the treasury formation was, it wasn’t anywhere near strong enough to deal with someone that powerful and was thus left helpless to do anything, as neither killing him nor closing the hole worked. All the treasury formation could do was try and tap into the city’s guardian formation for help in dealing with the current situation, something that had already begun the instant the treasury formation sprung to life but took time.
By the time Xuan Hao had swept through the scrolls on cultivation and combat techniques within the treasury and already taken close to half of the cultivation resources stored at the very front of the treasury, he finally sensed the guardian formation of the city starting to activate and begin the process of forcibly sealing off space with far greater strength compared to before, as the fact that he had used the Dao of Space to sneak into the treasury had already been shared with the city’s guardian formation by the treasury formation.

And so, as fast as he had entered the treasury, he left. Leaving through the one-meter-wide hole in the treasury formation before tearing through the still not stable seal placed on the space of the city by the guardian formation. Everything, from him entering the treasury to almost emptying it, happened so fast that no one had the chance to react to what was happening before he had already successfully slipped out of the city and successfully left the range covered by the formation.
Even the senior who had been alerted by something happening to the treasury had barely gotten up from his meditation when everything had already ended. Giving him, along with the other senior members of the cultivator alliance, no chance to even join the attempt to seal off Xuan Hao’s escape.
"What is happening!? Why did the guardian formation suddenly activate!?"
"Did the demon beasts attack!? Is there anyone from the cultivator alliance around who can explain what is happening!?"
"The meeting! Is this related to the meeting that is being held? Was the meeting arranged to gather everyone to face off against a final attack from the demon beasts!?"
Unsurprisingly, while the senior members of the cultivator alliance slowly began realizing what was happening and began moving to chase down the thief that had just managed to successfully break into their treasury and almost completely empty it out. The cultivators who had gathered from all around the small world for the upcoming meeting began panicking.
Among these panicking cultivators, the most popular reason for the activation of the cultivator alliance’s guardian formation was that the demon beasts had decided to launch a final attack to try and finally topple the cultivator alliance and seize control over the small world.
In fact, the reason for the war a few hundreds years ago had been partly for this reason, as outside of pushing the cultivator alliance into the eastern region, there had also been clear attempts to push further and if it wasn’t for the cultivator alliance still having some strength back then, the war back then wouldn’t just have ended with the cultivator alliance being pushed into the eastern region of the small world.
But as much as these cultivators were panicking, the cultivator alliance couldn’t care the slightest bit about the spreading chaos, as over a dozen seniors at the Land Creation Realm and a few at the Celestial Lord Realm surged forth from the cultivator alliance soon flew out of the city in an attempt to chase down Xuan Hao who had long since left the place.
Understandably, though he had already disappeared, the members of the cultivator alliance had no intention of giving up. Different from those he had encountered in the past when using the Dao of Space to run away, the people from the cultivator alliance had artifacts specifically designed for tracking someone using the Dao of Space.
Problem was that while the artifact could indeed lock onto and allow those proficient in the Dao of Space amongst the cultivator alliance’s seniors to chase after him, the artifact couldn’t make up for the simple fact that the current cultivator alliance had no one comparable to him in the Dao of Space. The most proficient amongst them being an older Land Creation Realm cultivator who had just barely stepped into the Large Success Realm in the Dao of Space, still far from reaching the Perfection Realm.
Even then, given the size of the small world, the people from the cultivator alliance would inevitably catch up with him. In a way, this was also the reason why the people who set out to chase after him weren’t too worried, as they understood that they would ultimately end up catching him when he was no longer able to continue escaping.
Having confirmed through the formation that he wasn’t a demon beast and thus wouldn’t be able to escape into the devil forest, the one place they didn’t dare venture into.
Unfortunately for them, Xuan Hao wasn’t someone from the small world who held an inherent fear towards the devil forest, and so, following the increasingly uneasy members of the cultivator alliance chasing him from behind, he soon enough reached the borders of the devil forest. Not taking long to fly past the few demon beasts around the edge of the forest under the shocked gazes of the members of the cultivator alliance who had been chasing him from behind and following his movements from afar using an artifact.
Still, given just how much they had ended up losing this time around, they weren’t willing to give up immediately even though he had already entered the devil forest. Plunging into the forest following behind him, even knowing this was likely to provoke another potential war.
After all, outside of just losing a vast quantity of cultivation resources to Xuan Hao, they had also ended up losing their foundational cultivation manuals and combat techniques.
Even if they wanted to give up upon sensing him entering the devil, they simply couldn’t afford to just give up, as that would essentially mean they had to start over and build up a new library of cultivation techniques and combat techniques. Slowing down the progress of their younger generation and making their future fall against the demon beasts all but certain when their younger generation failed to grow up and become new pillars of the cultivator alliance.
