So, she had mistaken that monster for him?
Lynn stared with his Dead-Fish Eyes, looking up and down at the black-haired loli jumping excitedly on top of that massive spider's head. He thought about it carefully.
No wonder she was so bold.
Just moments ago, when he heard her screams, her tone had been utterly terrified.
Sure enough, it was because he had been too good to her, letting her develop this terrible habit of not being afraid of him at all!
Lynn rubbed his chin.
Then he strode out toward the giant spider emerging from the blood mist, his steps slow and steady, stopping just a dozen meters in front of the monster like an old dog.
He looked up, adjusted his Monocle, and said with a smile:
"What are you doing, Zuo Zuo?!"
Zuo Zuo, who was desperately trying to pry the Plague Doctor Mask off the spider's head with a fierce expression, said:
"What? Finally showing your true colors now? At a time like this, you turn into this massive thing just to mess with me—you're hopeless!"
Lynn raised an eyebrow, touching his nose in surprise. "Oh? Is that so? But I have a feeling this big spider doesn't really look like me. Maybe you should look behind you?"
Zuo Zuo immediately grew annoyed, whipping her head around and snapping:
"What? You—"
"..."
In an instant, Zuo Zuo froze solid.
Dozens of meters away, Lynn smiled, raised his hand, and gave a tiny, affectionate wave to Zuo Zuo standing on the spider's head.
An eerie breeze swirled through the air, passing between them.
Zuo Zuo stared stiffly at Lynn in the distance, then turned her neck with a creak to look at the viscous monster she had been yanking the Plague Doctor Mask off of.
Squish, squish—
A tentacle covered in sticky slime dragged across Zuo Zuo's bewildered face, smearing it with goo.
"..."
A brief, ghostly silence hung in the air.
"Wait, something's not right..."
Zuo Zuo, still dazed, finally began to realize what was happening.
"Of course it's not right, you dumb hand!"
Lynn bent one leg and leaped into the air. As the wind howled, his right hand twisted with Flesh and Blood, transforming into a two-meter-long giant blade. Tentacles burst explosively from his shoulders, and with a sharp glare, they shot out like machine guns, stabbing into the massive spider's body.
Ptoo—
The massive blade drove into its head, then pulled down hard with a forceful jerk.
Splash—
The giant spider monster was instantly torn open by Lynn, a huge gaping wound spilling viscous slime everywhere. Lynn plunged headfirst into the opening, his Flesh and Blood erupting from within.
Boom—
A thunderous crash.
Lynn's exploding, swelling Flesh and Blood instantly tore the spider apart from the inside.
Countless bodily fluids burst out like a popping cyst, drenching the stunned Zuo Zuo from head to toe.
And just as she was about to hit the ground—
Lynn dove in, deftly catching her sticky waist with a soft smack, cradling her in his arm. He looked down at her blank expression, raised an eyebrow, and said with a grin:
"You're something else, Zuo Zuo. Even a disgusting monster like that, you thought it was your Master in disguise. If you ever broke up with me, wouldn't you get sold off the moment you stepped outside? Huh?"
Zuo Zuo finally snapped back to reality.
Her face instantly flushed bright red from a mix of shame and fury.
She stared at him, his roguish gaze shamelessly roaming over her.
"I... I..."
"I didn't!! You idiot!!"
Thud—a dull punch landed.

...
A few minutes later.
Lynn sat cross-legged on the ground, arms folded, a faint smile on his face. A tiny tentacle extended from his ear to adjust his Monocle as he looked at Zuo Zuo, who sat hugging her knees, glaring fiercely at him.
"Really, I never would have guessed, Zuo Zuo. Here we are, Master and servant, and we actually got separated from our own flesh and blood. What a strange experience!"
Lynn reached out and tugged at a strand of her hair, admiring her like a toy.
Zuo Zuo's eyes followed his hand.
"With eyes and a nose, able to move around freely, and even showing off this form your Master Mimicry'd for you in the Mental Space—deep down, you've actually accepted this cute appearance, haven't you, hmm? Really not being straightforward at all! Haha."
Snap—
A huge "╬" mark appeared on Zuo Zuo's forehead.
"What do you think, Zuo Zuo? Am I right?"
Lynn was amused, reaching out again to pinch her sticky cheek.
But just as he was about to pinch somewhere else, Zuo Zuo, who had been staring at him the whole time, bared her sharp teeth and bit down hard on his finger.
[Ding! Your HP -1]
"..."
After barely managing to rescue his finger from Zuo Zuo's mouth, Lynn stared at his swollen digit with a sour expression.
"Zuo Zuo, are you a dog or what?"
Zuo Zuo bared her teeth and shook her fist at him threateningly. "You're the one who's a dog! All goofy and unserious—we don't even know where the hell we are, and you're still in the mood to mess with me. You're hopeless!"
Lynn spread his hands, smiling as he rested his chin on his palm. "Hey, you can't say that. You're my left hand, aren't you? Is it illegal for me to pinch my own left hand? That's a perfectly normal and proper thing to do!"
Zuo Zuo clenched her fists with a grinding sound, teeth gnashing.
Stay calm!
She had to stay calm!
Because she knew very well that when this bastard's face started getting thicker, the worst thing you could do was to pick up his thread. Otherwise, he'd drag you right into his rhythm and then beat you with his rich, shameless experience!
And more importantly—
He could still maintain basic decency toward Alice, Miss Puppet, and the others.
But when it came to her, who knew him inside and out, he couldn't even be bothered to pretend anymore!
It was written all over his rotten face!!
"Do you know something? What the hell is this place, and what was that monster just now? What's going on?"
Zuo Zuo decisively changed the subject, frowning as she asked.
Lynn stretched lazily, then turned his head, squinting with a smile at the giant spider's remains slowly dissolving into black ashes drifting away in the wind.
