Chapter 1675: Chapter 1676: I Don’t Know If This Is Love

He was stunned for half a second, not understanding the reason for her question.

"Yes."

"Where is she?"

Qin Feimo hesitated, his long, dark eyes falling into her calm gaze.

If a woman were water, she would be a pool of warm water, composed and untroubled by the world.

"You want to see her?"

She nodded without speaking.

"Then rest well, listen to the doctor, and once you recover, I’ll take you to see her."

"You asked me last time if I wanted back Feng Corp, does that still hold?"

"Of course it does." He seemed to understand her thoughts.

She didn’t speak further and lowered her eyelids.

"Everyone leave."

He turned his head and addressed the servants, as well as Uncle Qin and Sister Axian.

Zhuang Yanyan and Qin Guozhong exchanged glances and left, giving them space.

After a moment of silence, Feng Jinglei lifted her eyes again, looking at the man still sitting by the bedside, unwavering.

"Not sleeping?" He wanted her to rest, but if she didn’t want to sleep, he didn’t want to force her.

Meeting his clear, dark eyes, her eyelids fell slightly, "I can’t sleep."

He lightly pressed his thin lips together, not speaking further, seemingly intending to watch over her, keeping her company until she wanted to sleep.

"You... not leaving?"

In her memory, no matter the occasion, he always seemed busy, rarely staying in one place for long, except for the study.

For example, yesterday, even when she lost the child, he wouldn’t spend a moment of uninterrupted time in her hospital room.

Seeing he didn’t intend to leave right now, she couldn’t help but ask.

Instead, he frowned slightly, "Where to?"

"Aren’t you busy?"

"Not busy."

Looking at him, she didn’t speak again.

Losing the child was heartbreaking, but faced with his constant care and gentle love, her inner pain seemed to be somewhat eased.

Just as she thought he’d stay, Qin Feimo suddenly stood up.

At that instant, Feng Jinglei felt uneasy and instinctively grasped his hand as he turned away.

He furrowed his brow and turned back to look at her, "What’s wrong?"

She didn’t know whether losing this child would affect their marriage plans or if it would still proceed as scheduled.

Even though he had said himself that the marriage wasn’t because she was pregnant, she still felt uneasy.

His kindness felt like a dream over time, and the loss of the child gave her the illusion the dream was ending, unsure if it was all indeed a dream now concluded.

Gazing at him for a long time without speaking, she let go of his hand and lowered her head, "It’s nothing."

Seeing her unease, he turned back, leaned toward her face, and spoke tenderly, "I was just going to the restroom."

She lifted her eyes, suddenly thinking herself quite laughable.

"I’m fine."

Noticing how she hung her head, Qin Feimo felt even more heartache.

Her unease was likely all due to him; recalling last time she was hospitalized, he vanished after he left, leaving her heart trapped in unease.

"I won’t turn away again."

His sudden words surprised Feng Jinglei, lifting her eyes in bemusement.

Was this a promise to her?

He leaned closer, resting his forehead against hers, "I don’t know if this is love, but it seems I’m increasingly thinking of you."
