Chapter 1590: Chapter 1591: Qin Feimo’s Attitude (2)

My heart finally settled when she opened her eyes. The hand grasping the doorknob paused, and I turned to speak to the person still waiting at the other end. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

"I’m coming over now."

"Alright, Mr. Qin, we’ll wait for you to arrive before making any decisions."

Hanging up the phone, I glanced again at the person in the hospital room and then turned to leave.

...

In the afternoon, Feng Jinglei was still under observation in the hospital. Zhuang Yanyan didn’t want any mishaps for her and the baby, so unless everything was perfectly fine, she didn’t want her to be discharged.

However, the ongoing observations were promising; the only problem was Feng Jinglei’s mood.

Since waking up, and now with dusk approaching, she had yet to see Qin Feimo.

His refusal to accept her and the child was evident, otherwise why had he not even visited her?

The next day.

Early in the morning, Xiang Jinnan, having received some news from somewhere, rushed over to Feng Jinglei’s hospital room.

Upon entering the room, he saw her still lying in bed, eyes gently closed, his dark eyes filled with tenderness for her, and he was already aware of the pregnancy.

"Hey nurse, is she okay?" Placing a bouquet of lilies on the bedside table, Xiang Jinnan walked to the door and caught hold of a passing nurse, his face full of concern.

The nurse turned her head, glanced at Feng Jinglei’s private hospital room, and smiled, "She’s fine."

"Thank you."

Letting go of the nurse, Xiang Jinnan gently returned to the hospital room, as if afraid to disturb her peaceful sleep.

He knew that the pregnant woman was genuinely and unalterably someone else’s; he didn’t stand a chance.

Yet, looking at her pitiable face, he found it difficult to let go of his deep-seated affection for her.

Perhaps, someday, he would find another woman meant only for him.

Xiang Jinnan stayed in the room for a while; it was only five minutes past seven in the morning, and Feng Jinglei was still asleep. Pressed by the demands of his job, he had no choice but to leave.

Just as he reached the doorway, he bumped into a figure.

"Ah!" Luo Xiaoqian stumbled into a firm chest, instinctively touching her sore nose from the impact.

Then looking up, she glared angrily at the clumsy person in front of her!

"What are you doing!?"

Looking at the person a head shorter than him, Xiang Jinnan spoke with slight embarrassment, "Sorry, are you alright?"

"Why don’t you bump me again to see if I’m okay!" She glared at him with displeasure.

But then she paused, considering the fact that it was Jinglei’s hospital room.

This man in Jinglei’s hospital room — who was he?

Looking up, Luo Xiaoqian scrutinized Xiang Jinnan suspiciously, "Who are you?"

Xiang Jinnan also hesitated, glancing at Feng Jinglei and then at the small woman before him, "Are you a friend of Jinglei?"

Jinglei? He called her so intimately; he must be a friend of Jinglei.

"Yes, and who might you be?"

Xiang Jinnan smiled gently, "I’m her friend."

A friend, indeed?

"Sorry, I need to head to work." After a polite nod, Xiang Jinnan was about to leave.

"Hey, wait!"

Luo Xiaoqian, however, tugged at him, seeing that Feng Jinglei still seemed asleep.

Looking at the fair hand gripping his arm, Xiang Jinnan was puzzled, "Anything else?"

Luo Xiaoqian eyed him, "What’s your name?"

Xiang Jinnan furrowed his brow, unsure of why she was asking.
