Chapter 152: Mythical Quest

It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.

Hena shared all the six rules to become the Fourth Crown.

A family.

At least ten families loyal to them.

Donation of at least ten thousand Paper Lumens to any Glory Order Church.

The support of an Emberlord or Pyrelord.

The murder of at least five Beast tier Riftborn and at least one Monster tier Riftborn.

And the sixth one was answered by Zane himself.

"They must kill you."

Hena gave a solemn nod.

"Yes. And they started their attempts right after my father died. Poison. Swords. Stones. Fire. They did everything to kill a five year old girl. But I lived. I survived. Like you.

I learned how to fight. I learned how to fight back without any Skill. I killed the first person when I was seven. I didn’t wait to get the Skill from the slab. I would have died long ago if I depended on getting the Skill.

I put all my being into proving my father’s innocence just like you spent all your life to protect your sister."

Zane said nothing.

Hena was speaking her heart and he had enough sense to not disturb her in-between.

"I would have done the same today as well. I would have prayed and gone back to work. But when I saw you getting spat on the stage, being called an infidel, I remembered my father. He suffered the same way. So this time, I refused to stand still. Saving you..."

Hena’s voice cracked.

"I felt like I saved my father."

I understand now.

The notion Zane had for Hena changed.

She suffered too but differently than him.

But they both shared the same emotion.

Both were trying to survive.

Zane adjusted his legs and remained silent.

Hena looked into his eyes.

"I was being cradled in a crib, yes. But how is it my fault that I was born in such a household? I have walls of money and which normal parent doesn’t want their child to not live comfortably without any worries? ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

He left the money for me which I only found out when I was ten through Draxus’ father. My father wanted me to understand life without excessive money first.

We both suffered for being who we are. You, your people and I have the same enemy. They call me traitor and they call you filth. The tragedy that exists in your world is cruel. The politics that exist in my world is cruel.

You welcomed us all in the age of the death of reason. You announced there will only be darkness. I also want to join and see the darkness enveloping those gilded trash!"

Hena’s voice turned heavier with each word as tears vanished from her eyes.

Zane parted his lips to say something but before words could come out, Hena added:

"I don’t need your pity, Zane Atlas. I told you my story because you wouldn’t take money from me otherwise. I don’t need neither sympathy, nor a knight. I need a warlord who will burn kingdoms if I scream. That is to say, I need your people."

Hena stood up.

Zane did the same.

Both of them locked eyes.

"You managed to wake up the gutterborns who were scared to open their eyes. You made them abandon their fear and join you. I saved your life because I need your men, Zane Atlas. My fight won’t be won alone. I need your army. I need your legion. Take all the money you want, just lend me your power when I need it. That is all I will ever ask of you."

[ Mythical Quest Generated! ]

Zane’s eyes widened.

Just as Hena finished her story, the system started one of its own.

[ Quest: Glory For The Fallen ]

[ Objective: Uncover the truth behind Hena Myreth’s father and resurrect her family to its former glory. ]

[ Time Limit: 2 Years. ]

[ Failure Penalty: Merciless death of everyone associated with you. ]

[ Rewards:- 4 ]

[ 1. Rise in 2 Ranks and Designations. ]

[ 2. All Advanced Nodes Unlocked. ]

[ 3. 50 Merge Points. ]

[ 4. Synchronization +20% ]

[ Do you accept? ]

The Mythical was the highest level possible for the Quests and if it was related to Hena’s matter then it was clear something was going on behind the scenes.

Zane read the details and the rewards certainly caught his gaze.

But the higher the rewards, the harder the Quests.

Hena watched him with a determined gaze.

In return for monetary help, she wanted Zane to lend her the people who followed him.

She and everyone else were already his subordinates and her battle was against the same people as Zane.

Though, he wasn’t sure why the Quest didn’t include making Hena the fourth Crown again.

But whatever it was, the Quest was the hardest and Hena was waiting for an answer.

Zane inhaled.

"Apart from money, I want something else from you too." He said.

Hena frowned.

"My body?"

Zane’s face turned red.

"What- No! I mean, yes. No. No. No. You have a great bod-physique. But that’s not what I meant."

"Calm down. I simply asked because many people have tried it."

Zane raised his brows.

"Many people have tried your body?"

Now Hena’s face flushed.

But with anger.

"Many people have tried asking for it! What is wrong with you?"

"Sorry. Sorry."

Zane apologized.

And the next second...

"Hahhah!" Jammy laughed out loud.

Xavier joined as well.

Draxus shook his head, laughing as well.

And the most special view came after that.

Hena smiling.

The tension in the room vanished just like that.

But right away, Hena reverted back to her demeanor and asked:

"What else do you want then?"

Zane also stopped smiling and with a confident gaze, he presented his demand.

"Teach me how to fight."

Jammy smiled.

"Sure." Hena agreed instantly.

Zane nodded and now that she had agreed, he didn’t see any reason of not extending his hand and saying:

"I accept."

And those words weren’t only meant for Hena.

They were also meant for...
