[Conditions Met: Apprentice of Spirited Tavern: Scion of Grand Hearth]

Scion of Grand Hearth Lv. 30

Scion of Grand Hearth Lv. 31

[Skill Change: Swift Steps: Embersteps]

[Skill Change: Apprentice's Illusions: Scion's Illusions]

[Skill Change: Neat Bearing: Impeccable Appearance]

[Skill Change: Fine Balance: Scion's Poise]

[Skill Gained: Hearthsence]

I looked at the class, the skills, and a smile couldn't help but appear on my face.

I waited for it and prayed for it.

Until six months ago, I was not worried about my level. Eighteen years old and I was a step away from Lv. 30. Most of the people my age, even my boyfriend, were not even Lv. 20.

But after I went to Velvet Garden, everything changed. Lv. 30 is not that special.

Even my friends Gloria and Mara were Lv. 30+.

I pushed those thoughts and looked at my class and the weight of it. The smile on my face grew bigger; it's as powerful as the lord class. Most importantly, I feel it has a close connection with the legacy.

I am not the true heir yet. That will only happen when Legacy advances to Grade IV. Only then could I control things with the access I have.

The deeper this connection is, the better I will be able to control it.

I turned to my skills, and I started grinning. All of them are powerful. I want to use them immediately, and I did. I activated my newest skill.

Hearthsense.

Immediately, I felt as if my senses had enveloped the whole legacy. I could sense everything.

It is not the rarest of See All skills, but it's close and on the rare side. It could do things that seeing skills do not.

It let me sense things and people. It would also let me sense their surface emotions, which seeing skill does not. It is something Masters could do naturally.

With this, I have taken another step closer, and when I become the true heir, this skill will become more powerful.

Which couldn't help but excite me.

I explored the skill and could sense Grandfather and Mariha, as well as the madams. Much differently than others, as I am not sensing their presence, but the void that is around them.

This is really strange with Lady Carla and the other madams.

There is a void around them; I could not see or sense what they were doing. It is completely blocked not only from me, but also from Mariha and Grandfather.

They are masters, but even they couldn't see these madams.

I don't know how they did it; it does not feel like a skill. It's more like control or something else.

There are so many things I don't know about Velvet Garden.

In my six months there, I have learned one thing. Velvet Garden is far from a common throne. It had many secrets that only the madams seemed to know.

Despite being a leader in the subject legacy, they don't trust me enough to know them.

One day they will.

Remus Silver

Shaper of Desire Lv. 45

[Skill Gained: House That Never Sleep]

I woke up, and there was a text in front of me. My class advanced, and to be honest, I am surprised.

I had expected it could, but I was still surprised. It is very hard to advance at this level. So, I thought I might not, but the effect is big enough that I did.

Shaper of Desire had now reached the same level as my second class.

I looked down and saw the skill I had received. It surprised me so much that I looked at it again.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

House That Never Sleeps.

It is a master skill of the efficiency type. It turns the working of the legacy system efficient, but that was not what made me look at it twice, believe it.

I activated Instant Recollection. I want to be sure of what I have heard and read about.

House That Never Sleeps

A management skill that keeps a legacy running efficiently. Members experience improved coordination, reduced idle time, and smoother workflow, allowing the business to function as if it never truly rests.

Any work performed within the legacy becomes more efficient, provided it is related to or benefits the legacy—even when carried out by individuals who are not members of the legacy.

The paragraphs appeared before me; the first one was like the other efficiency skill, but the second one excited me.

It states that any work related to the benefit of the legacy, even when carried out by non-members, will be affected by the skill.

It couldn't help but thrill me; this could help me tremendously with the construction of legacy.

These are very useful skills. I have one Public Works; it has been useful. If not for it, the Mage Tower would have exploded into pieces.

It will be even more powerful than Public Works, because, unlike Public Works, this is a Master Skill.

It uses essence to run.

If it worked, it's going to cost me a lot, but I will not care. This skill is amazing, and the essence it consumes will be worth it if it works as I expect.

I did not waste any time and activated the skill on the legacy.

It was closed at dawn, and Amellus's people had already entered inside. There will be a lot of demolition; they will not destroy the tower, at least not whole, but it will fully disappear.

I also gained one attribute point at this level up, which I spent on intelligence, bringing it to twenty-two.

I felt my thoughts becoming faintly faster.

A minute later, I got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up, then showered and walked into the kitchen. It is eleven and a half in the morning.

I slept in this morning.

I was keeping an eye on things. Especially on Tara, and I have to say, the girl impressed me.

"Any new messages?" I asked. "Many, but the one from Lord Nathil is the most important one; you have a meeting with him at two," informed Zela.

I didn't forget and know the purpose of this meeting with the members of Owlspring.

I ate lunch before taking the carriage; ten minutes later, the carriage stopped in front of the four-story building. It's not the city hall, it's my new office.

Well, a temporary office for the next eight to twelve months, until the new offices are ready.

Most of the city hall has been emptied. The rest would happen within a week, and then the work would begin.

"The streets look empty," I said as I looked at the street. There are still people, but not as many as there had been yesterday or weeks and months before.

"It will take a while to get used to it, with all the tourists leaving," replied Zela.

It's going to affect many businesses, especially in hospitality. Soon, we will release an economic package, but it will not be enough.

I hate that I couldn't help more, but the city doesn't have the money.

We are going to launch different plans, including one called legacy credit. It is a plan like loyalty points, which one would earn by spending money in the city.

Those points would then be used for bookings in the legacy, special offers, and many more things.

Those points could apply to the Velvet Garden when it opens, as well as Twilight Hall.

It is part of the wider membership plan we are developing. In the year, we will not be just sitting around and waiting. No, we are going to plan and expand.

The expansion would differ from the one I had planned before Velvet turned into the legacy, but it's going to bring me tremendous influence and money, of course.

I stepped inside the building before taking the elevator to the top floor, where my office is.

"Lord Silver," Jill greeted, and I nodded before walking into my office.

Argis was already there and placed a file in front of me as I sat down.

"Head Manager of Gale's Bar called. He said his boss would be more than happy to provide all the help you would need," he informed.

Gale had called me yesterday, and other masters from Namdar had called as well. All of them said they will provide me with any help I need.

I had good relationships with them, not only them, but all the masters of legacy. Especially those in the Empire, the Merchant State, and Navr.

They are among the biggest customers of mist goods. From tableware to tables to art pieces, I am providing them all.

Legacies rarely change anything inside them, but they could add things. However, most of the things they buy from me are for the branches of their establishments.

Once an establishment becomes a legacy, it becomes a brand, and most masters start opening branches within a few years.

There are only a few, like Vanis Tavern, that don't.

He had opened them, but closed them within a few decades, wanting to focus all his attention on his legacy.

"I told him, we appreciate it and will inform him if we need his help," he replied.

I helped masters not because they are fellow masters of the legacies; it is a reason, but not the most important one. No, the important reason is that they are very good at lobbying their lords. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

Masters wield massive influence; they need to learn it, since their empire and Lords try to take away as much power from them as possible.

This influence could be very helpful. It had already helped me.

Time passed, and soon, it was two when the door opened, and an old man walked inside.

"Lord Silver," he greeted.

"I hope your trip to Inam went well?" I asked as he sat down in front of me. He went to the legacy inauguration.

"It was quite an eye-opener," he replied, before a deep sigh escaped from his lips. "It's quite regrettable that the legacy of our city is already a pawn to another throne."

I said nothing other than a smile.

"I had met quite a lot of interesting people from the empire. Including Lord Artur Salazar," he said. Hearing that, I wanted to massage my head because I knew what was coming.

"A cheerful man, isn't he?" I asked, but the man's expressions remained serious.

"You have promised the mistress, Owlspring will be first." He said with his eyes boring into me. "I said, it will be first in, Merchant State," I clarified.

"We want to be first; I am sure it wouldn't be a big problem," he said, and I kept a smile on my face unchanged.

"These things are quite unpredictable," I replied.

"Lady Carla is going to Namdar to choose the land; she was supposed to come to Owlpring to do that," he said.

"The plan will move on time. It will be just Chief Valentina and Headmistress Margaux coming to Owlspring," I replied, and a smile appeared on the old man's face.

As he said, Carla was supposed to go to Owlspring the day after returning from Inam, but things have changed. Now, she is going to Namdar.

Valentina is going to Owlspring anyway; I will send Margaux with her; she has a few things to do there.

It is not very difficult. We have already chosen the land in Owlspring, but we haven't informed them.

"The lord would be honored if you could come as well. He wants to host you," he said. "I am honored, but I am swamped with work," I replied, and I am.

For the next few weeks, I barely have any time.

"Though I promise you, I will come in a few months," I added. "Lord Verulus will be pleased," he replied with a smile lighting up the old man's face.
