After all, that feeling of standing before someone whose grandness goes beyond what she can measure is a feeling she only got to experience as a weak, basically powerless vampire standing in front of the leader, the pillar of their race.
And now that she is more than powerful enough to offer support to that pillar, she was reminded of that feeling again, the sheer difference between herself and this being in front of her so immense that she felt something she had never felt, staring at the Queen of the Eternal Night.
It was like she was staring at the void, at the abyss, and right now, the abyss is staring back at her.
It took her a while to notice that she fell way too absorbed trying to measure up something that she couldn’t, thus bringing her into a daze, only to be snapped awake with the gaze of the very individual that she is trying her best to see through.
There, her gaze met a sharpness hidden underneath the gentleness, an intense ferocity under the profound calm, the confident smile, the effortless grace in his demeanor as he bows as a greeting, making the immortal-like young man all the more mysterious in her eyes.
She nods back, but before that, she gulped.
She instinctively knows it, both as a practitioner capable of sensing beyond the five senses, as well as a woman with sharp intuition, it wasn’t this young man’s intention and he is in no way hostile to them, but she couldn’t help but feel wary of him.
