Chapter 198: Chapter 157: Gifting a Top-Tier DSLR, the Father and Daughter’s First Photo Together

’What kind of wish-fulfillment protagonist’s life is this?!’

She couldn’t help but smile. As the sea breeze blew gently past, she suddenly felt that even the air was filled with a sense of luxury and joy.

Lu Fan then said to them, "Feel free to enjoy yourselves. The yacht will slowly move forward, and the ocean view ahead will be even more beautiful."

"Thank you, Uncle Lu!!" Lu Yao exclaimed excitedly.

Jiang Silu also walked up to Lu Fan. Though a little shy, she said with genuine emotion, "Thank you so much for preparing all of this especially for me."

"Silly girl, what are you talking about? It’s only natural for a father to do this for his daughter," Lu Fan said with a smile.

But Jiang Silu shook her head. "My mom used to say that nothing should be taken for granted. I’ll cherish everything you’ve done for me."

"It makes me so happy to hear you say that. I’m already thrilled," Lu Fan replied.

He then gestured and said, "Alright, go on and take some pictures with your roommates. A view like this is a rare treat."

"Okay~"

Lu Fan then took out a DSLR camera and reminded her, "This is the camera you were using the other day. Have you gotten the hang of it?"

Jiang Silu nodded. "Shiting taught me. I’m slowly getting the hang of it."

"Good. In that case, the camera is yours. Consider it your 18th birthday present," Lu Fan explained.

Hearing this, Jiang Silu immediately shook her head. "No, I can’t. It’s too valuable."

"It’s just a camera; it’s not that expensive. Besides, I’ve never been there for any of your birthdays before. Let’s just say this is my way of making it up to you. You’re not going to deny your dad that, are you?" Lu Fan asked with a smile.

At his words, Jiang Silu hesitated for a moment before finally accepting the camera, repeating, "Thank you!~"

Just then, Lu Yao noticed the DSLR in Jiang Silu’s hands and called out, "Lulu, hurry up and come take a picture of me!"

"Okay, I’m coming," Jiang Silu said as she walked over.

Lu Yao went to the bow of the yacht and immediately started striking poses.

As she posed, she asked, "How do I look? Good?"

Jiang Silu nodded. "You look great."

Liu Shiting, however, said caringly, "Lulu, you’ve been taking pictures of us this whole time but haven’t taken many of yourself. Here, let me take a few for you."

Jiang Silu blushed a little and said shyly, "No, it’s okay. I’m not very photogenic."

But Lu Yao insisted, "What do you mean you’re not photogenic? You look gorgeous in photos, okay? Come on~"

And just like that, Jiang Silu was pulled by her friends into the perfect spot for a photo.

After Liu Shiting pressed the shutter, she exclaimed, "See? It’s beautiful! Look~"

All eyes turned to the camera’s display.

In the photo, Jiang Silu looked a bit bashful, her legs held primly together.

Her cleavage and long legs were on full display.

"Lulu, see how great you look in this photo? If anyone dares say you’re not photogenic, I’ll be the first to curse them out." Lu Yao was now doing her utmost to defend her future sister-in-law. After all, a single word from her could be worth more than all of Lu Yao’s own efforts combined.

Liu Shiting, on the other hand, tried to get closer to her through action. "Lulu, I think if you tilt your chin down a little, the picture will be even more beautiful."

When it came to photography, Jiang Silu had always considered Liu Shiting the expert.

After all, she still didn’t know how to use such a high-end DSLR camera.

During the photoshoot, she quietly asked Liu Shiting, "Shiting, how much does this camera cost?"

"I looked it up online. It’s a Canon EOS-1. It costs over thirty thousand."

Jiang Silu was shocked by Liu Shiting’s answer.

She had thought the DSLR would cost ten thousand at most. She never imagined Lu Fan would give her such an expensive camera.

At that thought, the feeling of being cherished washed over her once again.

While everyone was busy taking pictures, she noticed Lu Fan sitting alone at the stern, quietly admiring the ocean view.

So, Jiang Silu walked over to him.

Seeing her approach, Chen He immediately said respectfully, "Young Miss."

Jiang Silu was a bit unused to being addressed like that, so she requested in a low voice, "Uncle Chen He, could you just call me Silu from now on?" fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

Hearing this, Chen He glanced at Lu Fan.

Lu Fan smiled. "Since Silu said so, then that’s what you’ll call her."

"Alright, Silu. Would you like to sit down? I can get a chair for you," Chen He asked.

Jiang Silu shook her head. "No, thank you, Uncle Chen He. I’m fine standing for a bit."

"Very well." Chen He tactfully took a couple of steps back.

Lu Fan could tell that Jiang Silu seemed to want to talk to him, so he asked curiously, "What’s on your mind?"

Jiang Silu hesitated for a moment before asking, "Did you ever take Mom to see the ocean?"

"I’m ashamed to say I never did." Lu Fan shook his head helplessly. "I really let your mother down. She was with me when I was poor, but by the time I started making money, she was gone."

"I did take her to the beach once, though. She wore a swimsuit similar to yours, but she was very shy and didn’t dare wear anything too revealing. Your looks and your figure are just like your mother’s when she was young."

Jiang Silu shook her head. "No, no, I’ve seen pictures of Mom when she was young. She was much prettier than me."

"You’re both equally beautiful," Lu Fan chuckled.

Jiang Silu looked at him, a shy expression appearing on her face. Then she turned to Chen He and said, "Uncle Chen He, could you take a picture of us?"

"Of course, no problem." Chen He walked over and took the phone Jiang Silu handed him.

Jiang Silu leaned against Lu Fan, blushing as she made a peace sign.

Lu Fan also faced the camera and smiled.

"One, two, three! Click!"

After taking the picture, Chen He handed the phone back to Jiang Silu. "It might not be a very good shot. I hope you don’t mind."

"It’s fine, thank you, Uncle Chen He." Jiang Silu looked at the photo on her phone and nodded. "It’s a great picture."

She glanced back at Lu Fan, then walked away with a happy heart.

Lu Fan knew that the bond between him and his daughter had grown much stronger.

At the same time, Jiali approached and said, "Boss, Huang Minghao’s parents aren’t kneeling at the school gate. It seems they couldn’t swallow their pride."

"Mm. Even if they had knelt, I wouldn’t have given them an opening. And since they didn’t, there’s no reason for us to hold back." In an instant, Lu Fan’s calm, happy smile vanished, replaced by a stern, sharp expression.

He then had Jiali inform the yacht’s kitchen to prepare a lavish dinner banquet.

Meanwhile, in between laughing and playing with her roommates, Jiang Silu snuck a peek at the photo of herself and Lu Fan on her phone.

It was the first photo she had ever taken with her father.

This picture would be one she would treasure for the rest of her life.
