Chapter 1066: Chapter 1065: So Good-Looking, Got a Nosebleed
Over there, Gu Anxi quickly put away her phone. Chen Ming, puzzled, asked her calmly, "Is Professor Bo instructing you?"
"Yes," Gu Anxi replied with a smile, and then she glanced at Chen Ming’s arm and gave it a light pat, "Wow, quite sturdy."
Chen Ming’s hair stood on end; for some reason, he felt Gu Anxi seemed a bit malicious. But soon, he convinced himself that Anxi had no reason to be malicious toward him—
Thinking about it, he relaxed his mind again.
After driving for about half an hour, they arrived at Song Jia’s hotel. At this point, Secretary Tang had already booked the room. Upon entering the hotel, Gu Anxi pretended she had left something in the car and asked Chen Ming to wait for her in the elevator. She then quietly returned to the front desk to pick up a room card and slipped it into her pocket, leisurely entering the elevator.
Chen Ming suspected nothing, standing stiffly, looking at the red numbers, still making his last struggle: "Anxi, you girls chat, I’m a big guy, it’s not appropriate."
"What’s not appropriate?" Gu Anxi said with a smile, "Are you unable to handle the test?"
Chen Ming remained silent, only muttering after a while, "No way, I just think it’s unnecessary. By the way, Anxi, you wouldn’t trick me, right?"
Gu Anxi shot him a glance, "What are you thinking!"
At this moment, the elevator reached the top floor, and the two stepped out together.
"This is the room where Song Jia lives." Gu Anxi went over and pressed a doorbell, patiently waiting.
She knew Song Jia was in the hotel, but wasn’t sure what she was doing.
After about two minutes, the door opened. As soon as it opened, Gu Anxi whistled, "Taking a bath?"
Song Jia was only wearing a white bathrobe, the material a bit thin, the neckline low, and her hair somewhat wet.
She looked at Gu Anxi and Chen Ming, also a bit surprised, paused for a moment, dried her hair with a towel, and stepped aside, "Why did you suddenly come over?"
"Come over for dinner," Gu Anxi said with a smile.
At this point, Chen Ming felt something was wrong and looked at Gu Anxi, "What, you didn’t arrange it?"
Gu Anxi was about to answer him when two streams of bright red blood started to flow down from Chen Ming’s nose. She was stunned and said, "Chen Ming, your nose is bleeding."
"Is it?" Chen Ming reached up to wipe his nose and indeed found his nose bleeding.
The atmosphere was slightly delicate.
Song Jia leaned against the sofa, also stunned, then looked down at her bathrobe.
She was a bit exasperated, a bit shy, and didn’t know what to do?
If Gu Anxi wasn’t present, she might have already swung a fist at him, or slapped him first. But now, she could only politely invite him inside, asking Gu Anxi to think of a way to stop his nosebleed.
Gu Anxi slowly closed the door, cheerfully advising Chen Ming to gently press his nose, "Don’t tilt your head back, that’s wrong."
Chen Ming fixed his gaze on Gu Anxi’s face, not daring to look away.
Gu Anxi found it funny and after a bit of guidance, managed to stop Chen Ming’s nosebleed.
Chen Ming breathed a sigh of relief, trying to save face for himself, "It’s probably because of the heat."
At this point, Song Jia brought over a glass of ice water and said calmly, "Have some water."
Chen Ming dared not look at her, thanked her, accepted it, and drank it in one gulp.
Gu Anxi feigned surprise, "Chen Ming, even when you say thank you, you don’t look people in the eye, that’s impolite."
Chen Ming’s face turned red, he held the water glass awkwardly, rubbing its surface where his rough hand contrasted sharply with the glass’s smoothness, and even Song Jia took a quiet glance.
Her gaze was too intense for Chen Ming to ignore, and accidentally he met her eyes.
Then, a little tragedy occurred; the nosebleed he just stopped began to flow again. He quickly covered it, muttering, "You should change your clothes."
Otherwise, he’d be in trouble.
Song Jia glared at him fiercely but went back and changed into casual clothes. When she returned, Gu Anxi was helping Chen Ming, almost done; Gu Anxi was busy pretending not to notice Song Jia had changed, lecturing Chen Ming, "You should restrain yourself, you have a girlfriend now, can’t just get excited looking at other women like this, if your kindergarten teacher finds out, this could be over."
Chen Ming, not knowing Song Jia had come out, whispered, "Stop talking."
He paused before saying, "She wouldn’t know. It’s the weather."
Gu Anxi bent down to meet Chen Ming’s gaze; he dared not meet her eyes, so she turned his face to look at her, smilingly, "I’m quite a beauty too, haven’t made your nose bleed, huh? Look at you, so agitated now, you still have a chance, once you and your little teacher make something happen, you won’t have a chance."
She laughed a bit smugly, "Think about it, doesn’t it feel a bit regretful?"
Chen Ming was about to retort, but when he glanced up and saw Song Jia, looking displeased, he awkwardly muttered, "Anxi’s joking."
Gu Anxi turned, surprisingly agreeing, "Yes, I’m joking."
Song Jia sat on another sofa, picked up the cigarette box from the coffee table, lit a slender cigarette, and took a slow drag, "Chen Ming, if your brains were sold by Gu Anxi, you wouldn’t know."
Saying so, she glanced at Gu Anxi, "Here for a reason? Or something unspeakable?"
Gu Anxi laughed upon hearing that, sidled up next to her and hugged her shoulders, not seriously saying, "What unspeakable, just missing you."
Song Jia glared at her.
Gu Anxi raised her hand, "Alright, alright, telling the truth, Chen Ming missed you, insisted I bring him to see you."
Chen Ming was suddenly dumbfounded, took a while to squeeze out, "Not me!"
Gu Anxi kept smiling, "If it’s not you who misses her, is it me?"
That seemed to have no flaws!
Chen Ming didn’t know what to say, his face turned even redder.
Song Jia glanced at him, showing no sympathy; back in the hospital, he wasn’t grateful. She continued smoking, Chen Ming initially pursed his lips then coughed lightly, "Women shouldn’t smoke."
Song Jia kept smoking leisurely, quietly watching Chen Ming.
Chen Ming got somewhat angry, walked over, took the cigarette from her hand, and stubbed it out.
The atmosphere tensed, Gu Anxi laughed awkwardly, "It’s getting late, shall we eat then?"
Song Jia curled up on the sofa, unhappy, "I don’t want to go out."
"Let’s just order room service, I don’t mind," Gu Anxi said accommodatingly.
