Chapter 63: The Eternal Garden. Part-4.
After looking around for a while, Zephyr found the mining cart standing near a small platform made of polished white stone slabs, and the torch was hanging in the torch holder of the mining cart completely fine.
There was a massive tunnel entrance in the ground nearby, and there were train tracks leading down into the dark tunnel.
Seeing this, Zephyr realized that the mine cart must have carried him to this place while he was asleep and was busy completing the third trial in his dreams.
"But if the cart stopped here... then how come I found myself near the lake area when I woke up?"
A confused look appeared on Zephyr’s face as he looked around in confusion and muttered to himself,
"Unless I sleepwalked, which I never do... someone or something must have carried me to that location..."
"Now that I think about it, the place I was lying on did seem like a crudely made flower bed... could it be... there’s someone other than me in this place?"
Zephyr’s eyes narrowed as his usual vigilance returned to him instantly.
The atmosphere of this place was just too bright and completely in contrast with the dark environment of the tunnel, so Zephyr had subconsciously let his guard down as he didn’t sense any danger around him.
But if there’s someone other than him in this place, then Zephyr can’t be reckless and must do his best to remain vigilant even if there are currently no signs of danger around.
’Come to think of it, the people in the comment section must have seen what happened when I was asleep; I should look through the past comments of the viewers!’
As the moderator and owner of this live stream, Zephyr had full control over the comment box of the live stream, thanks to the power of his system.
He could not only just look at the comments but could load all of the past comments and read them easily.
He could even ban people who were causing trouble for him, but the effect of the ban was temporary, as a permanent ban would mean that the viewer would no longer have to watch the horror game streams.
Zephyr can’t let his belief points collection pool get smaller, and the game will also likely start interfering if a permanent ban is placed on someone, as it has forced everyone to watch the streams for a reason!
Aside from banning, Zephyr also had the option to restrict specific people from commenting in the stream’s comment box.
’I should take the torch back first...’
Zephyr took the torch from the mine cart and walked over to the makeshift flower bed and started pretending to investigate while in reality he was focused on the comment channel.
It didn’t take long for Zephyr to scroll through the comments with his amazing scrolling speed, trained through years of training, and just like Zephyr had thought, there were comments about his situation.
[Rolling_Crocodile: He fell asleep? Man, I kind of envy our tank god for being able to sleep without needing to watch these horrific streams all night long...]
[Blue_Dinosaur: Indeed, unlike him, we can’t even get a proper sleep at night as our brains become fatigued from watching all this... I wake up in the morning already tired and unmotivated every single day...]
[Invincible_Bob: At least we haven’t had to see players die for several days now because of our great tank god! Be grateful that you aren’t being forced to see that ’Goblin Cave’ scene like before!]
[Jumping_Koala: URK, don’t even mention that, bro; I always feel like vomiting remembering that horrific incident...]
Most of the comments were just players chatting with each other to pass time while he slept.
But around two hours before he woke up, the comment section seemed to be bustling with activity, and all of them were mentioning the same words over and over!
[Invincible_Bob: Those fairies are so cute! To think such adorable creatures also exist in this world!]
[Rolling_Crocodile: Haha, it looks so heartwarming seeing them carry our tank god; they are all working hard to transport the anchor despite him being almost like a giant to them!]
[Blue_Dinosaur: It’s quite amazing that their little wings are even able to produce enough thrust for them all to be able to carry a human with their short wingspan.]
[Jumping_Koala: Awww~ They are swarming around him in an attempt to carry him. How adorable...]
Seeing these comments, Zephyr felt even more puzzled.
’Fairies? There are fairies in this place!?’
As a big anime and manga fan, Zephyr was very familiar with the concept of a fantasy race called ’fairies.’
All kinds of different types of fairies existed in the anime and various media, but the most common among them were the Elemental Fairies that were about the size of an adult human’s palm.
These types of fairies were good at manipulating elements and had very weak physical capabilities and usually had a kind and cheerful personality.
’They might be called fairies, but in this horror game world, I can’t be sure if the fairies are indeed as benevolent as talked about by the various anime and mangas...’
Zephyr walked around and made his way back to the giant tree in an attempt to see if he could find the fairies, but to his disappointment, no matter how much he tried to sense their presence, he couldn’t find them at all!
’My perception is already so overwhelmingly powerful that I can sense almost everything that’s happening around me in a kilometer radius with utmost accuracy...’
’Then how come I am not able to detect the presence of the fairies anywhere in this place?’
This weird situation baffled Zephyr, and he couldn’t help but raise his vigilance even more.
Seeing the confused look on his face, the viewers thought Zephyr was still trying to find who moved him in his sleep, and they started commenting that it was the fairies that moved him.
Zephyr really wanted to ask where the f*ck those fairies had vanished to, but despite looking through the comment section, he couldn’t find any comment about what happened to the fairies after they carried him to the makeshift flower bed.
’I might have to use the double-meaning trash talk tricks of mine again I guess...’
