Mira waited. She was sat on the bed and could not help but blush. She was exhausted from the feast but she could finally get some night rest. The beast people were delighted with her tasty meat that they offered to clear everything up without her requesting for aid. They actually advised her to go and rest. They had never shown her any form of sympathy or concern since she arrived here but for the first time, they did and to Mira, it was great progress.
Jia Hao informed her of his changed plans to leave tomorrow morning instead of staying for an extra day or two and while she did not want that, she could not stop him from doing what he had to do, he would be back soon after all. Mira shoved all thoughts about everyone else out of her mind and focused on the reason she was awake at such an ungodly hour.
She was waiting for her husband. Mira could not tell the time but she knew it was well close to or within the hours of midnight so Ming Tao should be on his way here already. She felt nervous. The bed was decorated with flower petals she picked up herself and the bed chambers scented of the floral mixes the beast people used on themselves.
At the center of the bed was the meat Ming Tao requested to be kept aside in a fancy, well crafted wooden plate made for the mighty ruler that she secured with leaves on top.
Tonight was the night Mira would break the news to Ming Tao. She wondered how he would feel about this. She knew her beast husbands have always wanted children but she took that away from them and now that she was ready to give birth for them, she could not help but feel nervous. It was always nervous for a woman to reveal that she was pregnant to a man even if that man was her husband. At least it was like this on earth, in the beast world, it was different but Mira could not help but not forget that she was the being labeled the demon of the forest. Mira shut her eyes and squealed. She was excited. She was anxious too but overall, this was exciting. She had barely eaten anything so she could have some of that cock pulsing inside of her as she rode him before telling him the news and her heart was beating violently inside of her chest.
Waiting for her husband was something else. She lacked patience and it made her wonder how men waited for women every damn time yet remained strong. Mira looked over her body. She was nicely dressed in fur attire.
Her hair was nicely styled and newly washed. Her skin scented of the flower scents. She had a bath after the cheetahs let her go and rest before coming to his bed chambers, she had told Yu Xuan to not let Shu Hua anywhere near Ming Tao’s home all night tonight with a meat bribery. Mira was practically more than ready to meet Ming Tao. But he was not here yet.
She let out a huff and looked outside the large window that was in his room, the one that gave a good view of the night sky. It was already midnight. Where on earth was he? He promised not to delay.
Mira dug her fingers into her hair to comb it nicely. Her curls were still arranged and as good as ever. She ran her eyes over her body again to examine herself then let out a sigh.
He should be here already, she ranted in her head, maybe he was on his way! Mira stated in her mind.
Her head was spiralling with thoughts and it had barely been a minute past midnight.
"System, what is the time?" Mira asked.
[It is five seconds past midnight in beast world time, host!] System chimed.
Mira tapped her feet on the floor impatiently. Maybe she had prepared all of this for way too long and because she had nothing else to do, the hours felt longer. "Thank you, system." Mira said.
[It is my pleasure, host!] System responded gleefully.
Mira crossed her leg over the other leg then cleared her throat. Not doing anything but sitting was messing with her mind. She scratched the back of her neck then put her hand on her knee. Then she looked around Ming Tao’s bed chambers, monitoring every curve and edges.
"What is the time now, system?" Mira asked.
[The time is one minute and fifty five seconds past midnight, host!] system chimed.
That was it? Just one minute? Time had barely gone anywhere yet it felt like forever, Mira groaned as she thought.
[Hehehehehe.] System giggled.
Mira rolled her eyes. Of course system found this funny. She tsked.
[It is nice to see you anticipate for someone this eagerly, host. Truly a breath of fresh air.] System stated.
Mira took a deep breath in then exhaled steadily to get her thoughts together before responding. She feared her eagerness would make her spiral and let it all out on system. "Why, thank you." Mira worded with a very fake smile.
Her foot was still hitting the floor and her fingers began to tap her knee.
"For the love of the universe!!" Mira barked, completely losing it. "System," she breathed, her voice barely hid her aggravation, she told her husband that she could not wait because she did not know how to, yet he was late, and he promised! He promised to be here on time and her heart was crying because she hoped he would keep his promise. But this man was testing her patience, and taking so long so she needed to ask. "Where is my husband?!"
