Chapter 15: The Unknown Past
Then Arya finally understood that this was not real.
This was a Trial made from the memories of his past life.
Everything he was seeing had already happened before.
Soon, Ronnie and Hina left the riverside.
Arya watched them quietly.
He still did not know what he was supposed to do in this Trial.
He had no clue how to complete it.
And he had no idea how to leave this place.
For now, the only thing he could do was follow them.
So Arya followed behind them.
After walking for a few minutes, he suddenly stopped.
Then he looked forward.
Ronnie and Hina had reached a horse carriage.
Without hesitation, Arya quickly walked over and climbed inside as well.
Since Ronnie and Hina could not see him, neither of them noticed his presence.
The carriage slowly started moving.
Ronnie sat at the front, holding the reins as he drove the horse carriage forward.
The front side of the carriage was open.
The backside was covered with cloth to block the wind.
Hina sat behind Ronnie.
In her arms, she carefully carried the small baby.
The baby Arya.
Hina gently wrapped him with a cloth blanket and held him close.
From time to time, she checked his breathing.
A faint smile appeared on her face after seeing that he was sleeping peacefully.
Arya sat quietly inside the carriage and watched them.
Neither Ronnie nor Hina knew he was there.
It was as if he was only a ghost watching a memory from the past.
The sound of the carriage wheels echoed across the road as they slowly moved toward the village.
Arya remained silent.
Still trying to understand what this Trial wanted him to see.
Then Hina looked down at the baby in her arms and smiled softly.
"From now on, you’re living with us."
Ronnie glanced back after hearing her words.
"The baby can’t even wake up. Why are you telling him that now?" Ronnie asked with a helpless smile.
Hina pouted slightly.
"He doesn’t need to wake up."
"I am just telling him."
"From now on, I am his mother."
"And you are his father."
After saying that, Hina looked at Ronnie proudly.
Ronnie almost choked.
"You know we’re not married yet," he said.
Hina blinked for a moment.
Then she remembered something.
"That doesn’t matter."
"We already promised each other at the temple." freēwebnovel.com
"We only didn’t hold the public ceremony yet."
"After we reach the town, we can get married properly in front of everyone."
Hina said it naturally, as if it was already decided.
Ronnie looked at her for a few seconds before smiling helplessly.
"Fine."
Then Ronnie looked at the sleeping baby.
"What name should we give him?"
Hina immediately became excited.
"When I was little, I already decided something."
"If I ever had a baby, I wanted his name to be Arya."
"How is it?" Hina asked.
Ronnie thought for a moment and nodded.
"That’s a great name."
"Then from now on, his name will be Arya."
Hina lowered her head and looked at the sleeping baby in her arms.
A warm smile appeared on her face.
Then she gently touched his cheek.
"Arya..."
She softly called his name for the first time.
Beside them, Arya silently watched everything.
Not a single word came out of his mouth.
He simply listened as the people who became his family gave him the name he carried even now.
Arya.
A poster flying through the air had hit Ronnie directly in the face, blocking his view.
"Oi!"
Then suddenly, the carriage lost control for a moment.
Ronnie quickly grabbed the paper and pulled it away.
The horse carriage soon stabilized again.
Then Ronnie looked at the poster in his hand.
His expression changed slightly.
Seeing that reaction, Arya immediately looked forward.
Then he saw what had caught Ronnie’s attention.
It was a bounty poster.
And the faces printed on it were Ronnie and Hina.
Arya froze.
He could not believe what he was seeing.
The reward amount was written below their pictures.
The words "Wanted" were clearly marked across the poster.
For a few moments, neither Ronnie nor Hina said anything.
The atmosphere inside the carriage became heavy.
Ronnie quietly lowered the poster.
A serious expression appeared on his face.
Bounty posters.
The moment Arya saw them, he felt something was wrong.
His eyes widened.
The faces on those posters were Ronnie and Hina.
Arya stared at them in disbelief.
Why?
He could not understand it.
These were the same people who had saved him.
The same people who would later be betrayed and abandoned.
Then why were there bounty posters for them?
A strange feeling appeared inside Arya’s heart.
Something was not right.
Something was hidden from him.
The carriage continued moving forward.
A few minutes later, Ronnie stopped the carriage near the forest and carefully hid it among the trees.
Hina stayed behind with the baby while Ronnie went toward the town to find out what was happening.
Arya quietly followed him from behind.
After talking with several people for a while, Ronnie’s expression became serious.
He did not stay any longer.
Without wasting time, he quickly returned to the carriage.
Then Ronnie and Hina immediately turned the carriage around and left.
Arya quietly stood there.
This time, he did not follow them back.
Instead, he remained where he was.
His eyes were fixed on the town gate.
Something inside him kept telling him that there was more to this story.
More than what he knew.
More than what Ronnie and Hina knew.
Arya looked toward the town gate again.

Arya knew where they would go.
But this time, he made a different decision.
He wanted answers.
He wanted to know why those bounty posters existed.
Without hesitation, Arya walked toward the gate.
At first, he was careful.
After all, this was not a place he had ever visited before.
If this was truly one of his memories, then he should not be able to enter somewhere he had never seen.
Yet when he walked through the gate—
Nothing happened.
Nothing stopped him.
Arya froze.
Then he slowly looked around.
This was not part of his memory.
He was certain of it.
Because he had never been here before.
A cold feeling ran down his back.
Then Arya finally realized something.
This Trial was not simply showing him memories.
It was something else.
Something beyond his understanding.
Something far bigger than a simple memory of the past.
For the first time since entering the Trial, Arya felt truly confused.
And he had no idea what was waiting for him inside the town.
