Chapter 621: Chapter 621: Revenge
She pinched the bridge of her nose before angrily recounting everything that had happened recently, including Angie’s constant harassment and obsessive behavior.
The more Louis listened, the colder his expression became.
By the end of her explanation, his eyes had already darkened completely.
Without saying another word, Louis calmly took out his phone and dialed his father’s number.
The conversation lasted only several minutes.
However, once the call ended, a faint dangerous smile appeared on Louis’ face.
Meanwhile, Angie still remained completely relaxed inside the cell.
The moment he saw Louis approaching, he grinned brightly.
"Brother, you’re finally here to save me?"
Louis suddenly chuckled softly.
That laugh instantly made Angie feel uneasy for some reason.
Louis slowly walked closer toward the bars before calmly speaking. "No."
His smile widened slightly. "I’m here to give you some good news."
The moment he heard that, a terrible premonition suddenly appeared inside Angie’s chest.
Sure enough, the next second, Louis calmly delivered the verdict.
"Father has decided that you’ll stay locked up here for the next week."
Angie’s eyes widened instantly.
Louis continued mercilessly.
"And during that time, you’ll write a proper self-reflection report about your behavior. If I am not satisfied with your report..."
He smiled coldly. "You can forget about leaving prison anytime soon."
The color instantly drained from Angie’s face.
However, Louis still wasn’t finished.
"Oh, and Father already approved transferring you to another detention facility tomorrow morning."
The moment those words landed, Angie immediately exploded like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
"What?!"
He rushed toward the bars furiously while gripping them tightly.
"How can you all be this ruthless?!"
His earlier relaxed attitude vanished completely.
Meanwhile, Olivia silently watched the scene.
Honestly... watching Angie finally panic felt strangely refreshing.
They did leave behind Angie.
At first, Angie remained unusually calm, while convincing himself that Louis was only trying to scare him.
In his mind, Louis was merely upset about his pestering and wanted to teach him a temporary lesson. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
’That bastard is just trying to intimidate me. Once he calms down, he will definitely come back for me.’
However, as the hours slowly crawled by and Louis still did not return, the confidence on Angie’s face gradually disappeared.
His breathing turned uneven, and he repeatedly glanced toward the entrance of the station, hoping to see someone familiar walking in.
Eventually, panic completely overtook him.
He suddenly sprang to his feet and violently grabbed the jail bars, shaking them so hard that the metal screeched painfully through the silent station.
"You idiots better let me out right now!" Angie roared furiously, veins bulging on his forehead. "Do you even know who my father is? He is a well-connected man! Every single one of you will suffer once he hears about this!"
His furious voice echoed throughout the station, but the officers merely glanced at him calmly before returning to their work as if he were nothing more than a barking stray dog.
Their indifference only made him more furious.
Meanwhile, Olivia quietly looked at Louis before asking softly, "So the entire underground business will eventually be handed over to your brother, Angie?"
Louis remained silent for a moment. However, the instant she saw his expression, Olivia already understood the answer.
"If that is truly the case," Olivia murmured coldly, "then I will destroy your entire family."
Then, after a brief silence, Louis repeated quietly, "Alright I will get the information that can hlp you."
Olivia suddenly burst into laughter. Turning toward Louis with a puzzled expression, she asked, "So you are not planning to save your own family members?"
Louis simply chuckled before revealing a bright, almost carefree smile.
"If someone had lived through a childhood like mine," he replied casually, "then they would probably think it would be better if their parents were dead."
His tone remained calm, yet the bitterness hidden beneath his words was impossible to ignore.
"I am already showing them mercy by not dealing with them personally using my own hands."
After saying that, he looked directly into Olivia’s eyes.
A soft warmth slowly appeared on his face, completely different from the cold indifference he had shown earlier.
"I think I have finally found the love of my life."
The moment those words fell, he gently pulled Olivia into his embrace. Olivia froze briefly before slowly wrapping her arms around him as well.
After the two of them spent a rather splendid day together, Olivia eventually returned.
By now, Angie was practically on the verge of losing his sanity from all the shouting.
The moment he spotted her approaching the cell, he immediately rushed forward like a starving beast.
"You!" he shouted angrily while gripping the bars tightly. "Come over here and get me out of this place right now! I know I was wrong, alright? I will not provoke you anymore!"
However, Olivia merely smiled calmly at him.
"For harassment alone, you should stay in there for at least a week," she replied casually.
"Besides, since Louis assigned you a task, shouldn’t you try finishing it properly first? Maybe if he ends up in a good mood, he might actually let you out."
The instant Angie heard those words, his expression twisted with fury.
His eyes filled with vicious hatred as he glared at Olivia. In his mind, Olivia was nothing but a lowly nobody.
The fact that someone like her dared to humiliate him filled him with unbearable rage.
At that very moment, a seed of terrifying resentment was planted deep inside his heart.
Without the slightest hesitation, Angie silently swore to himself that once he escaped this place, he would definitely make Olivia suffer for crossing him.
For the next seven days, Angie surprisingly caused almost no trouble at all. He stopped shouting at the officers and even behaved obediently enough that many people began believing he had genuinely corrected his behavior.
Only Olivia understood the truth.
’A leopard never changes its spots.’
Naturally, her suspicions proved correct.
One evening, while Olivia was returning home, several men suddenly emerged from the shadows and surrounded her.
They did not look like ordinary street thugs at all. Instead, they moved with terrifying precision, almost resembling trained assassins.
Before Olivia could properly react, one of them lunged forward and struck her hard across the face.
A sharp pain exploded through her nose as warm blood immediately trickled downward.
Soon, the attackers overpowered her.
Fortunately, the bodyguards secretly assigned to follow Olivia by Aurora reacted quickly.
The moment they noticed the attack, they immediately rushed forward and forcefully subdued the men after a brutal struggle.
Breathing heavily, Olivia leaned weakly against a nearby wall while wiping away the blood flowing from her nose.
After returning home, everyone became alarmed the moment they saw her condition.
Just a month ago, Lucas had nearly died in a car accident. Now Olivia had suddenly been attacked like this as well. Naturally, Aurora immediately suspected that the Institute was behind everything.
A terrifying fury exploded inside her heart.
At that moment, Aurora genuinely wanted to storm directly into the Institute and wipe every single one of them out. She had already begun secretly tracing their main location, and once she discovered it, she had no intention of showing mercy.
However, despite investigating for a long time, she eventually realized something unexpected.
This attack had nothing to do with the Institute at all.
The Institute was actually behaving rather quietly recently and was fully focused on Shay.
Taking a deep breath, Aurora shifted the direction of her investigation entirely. Soon enough, she discovered the true culprit.
It was Angie.
The instant Aurora learned the truth, she suddenly chuckled softly.
"Since some people do not know how to cherish their position," she murmured quietly, "then they should not blame others for destroying them."
After discussing her next move with Spencer, Aurora directly hacked into the underworld network.
Ever since regaining her memories, her hacking skills had reached an entirely different level. Now, infiltrating heavily protected systems was as easy as breathing for her.
Within minutes, enormous amounts of hidden information regarding underground dealings were completely exposed.
The moment she finished, Aurora leaned back in her chair and calmly watched the chaos unfold across the entire underworld.
The next morning, Angie was suddenly awakened by freezing cold water splashing violently across his face.
He jerked awake in shock, gasping heavily, only to see his father standing before him with a terrifyingly dark expression.
Without warning, his father grabbed him by the collar and shouted furiously, "Who exactly did you offend?!"
Angie froze completely.
"I-I did not offend anyone!" he stammered nervously.
However, his father did not listen at all. Rage had already consumed him entirely.
He immediately began beating Angie mercilessly. Fists slammed violently into his body one after another while Angie screamed painfully on the filthy floor.
Soon, bruises completely covered his face, and blood dripped from the corner of his mouth.
Finally, unable to endure anymore, Angie shouted desperately, "Why are you beating me?! I am your own son! I’m going to inherit everything! If you continue treating me like this, then I will simply run away!"
