Chapter 11: Kill on sight

When his train of thought reached this point, Cole noticed a problem that he had not before.

All the body refining techniques and even my own All Heaven Mandate were created using human bodies in mind. But with the fusion going in full force, every minute my body is changing, so every time I would have to change the body refining technique.

In simple words, it doesn’t matter what technique I use — all of them are of no use as long as the fusion is in effect.

Thankfully for me, as the body itself is passively absorbing the mana without any aid from the technique, I don’t need to worry.

With that thought in mind, Cole gulped all the remaining mana potions one after another.

Gulp! Gulp!

Even after swallowing half a dozen mana bottles, Cole felt nothing. If it were any other ordinary human in his place, they would have already exploded from mana overload, dying with the room stained crimson.

Cole’s breathing was even, allowing the body to work automatically. He felt shivers as a faint vibrating sensation ran down his scalp. For a moment, every single cell in his body seemed to come alive in joy, fueled by the total absorption of mana. New cells quickly divided and replaced the old ones, and the newly grown cells were firmer and thicker than the old cells, carrying an otherworldly glow.

As the process continued, a thick layer was ejected from pores all over the body. The gooey liquid hardened like stone, sticking tightly to his skin.

To think my body was filled with impurities to such a level... no wonder the original was called trash by everyone.

Cole did his best to ignore the unbearable smell, but it was simply too much. As the body was doing everything naturally, he had no way of stopping the process.

Grinding his teeth, he rushed to the energy bathroom in the room and started scrubbing the filth off his skin.

Time continued to pass, and Cole kept scrubbing. Slowly, the filth, which was still solid, started to become loose. By the end of one hour, it was just black liquid that naturally flowed down.

And in another hour, impurities had stopped flowing out completely.

Once the skin was clean of filth, Cole inhaled sharply as he looked at his own skin.

His skin was smooth, without any sign of blemish at all. Not just his skin, but his entire body seemed to be filled with a strange sense of energy that he had never felt before. He felt incredibly light, as if just taking one step would launch him into the clouds. If the earlier Cole’s body had been weighed down by impurities, now he had none of that.

Feeling curious, Cole did not bother wearing clothes. He simply walked naked from the washroom and stood in front of the large iron pillar. With each step, his little brother dangled downward, hiding the two crown jewels from view.

Without any posture or preparation, he simply punched.

Bang!

A soft thud echoed in the room, and the iron pillar lit up like a glowing sun. Once the glow died down, a three-digit number floated on the pillar’s surface.

999 kilograms!

Looking at the number, Cole sucked in a breath of cold air.

999 kilograms — it was something only someone at the peak of his current realm would generate.

To think I would reach the peak of Nascent Trainee in just a few hours... this speed should be impossible.

Indeed, such speed of training was unheard of for any human. But keep in mind, Cole was no human. He had forged a path for himself that allowed him to grow beyond human limits.

Hmm, a couple of mana potions allowed me to reach the peak of Nascent Trainee realm. If I can get my hands on a few more mana potions, can I break through...?

Cole thought with anticipation surging in his heart. As soon as this idea popped into his head, he could not stop himself — he was going to try just that.

However, at this moment he realized he had run out of all the mana potions. If he wanted to continue training, he would need to get his hands on a few bottles.

Hmm, this should not be an issue...

...

"Trisha, did you hear what I said?"

"Trisha!"

Cole noticed her staring off into space, not paying any heed to his words, so he had no choice but to raise his voice.

"Yeah, young master, I heard what you said, but there is a problem."

"What problem?" Cole asked back.

"There is no stock of mana potion...!"

Huh?

Cole’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief. How was this possible? There was no stock of mana potions in the large Saint Family? Hell, even if there was a shortage, there should be something for the future heir of the family, right?

Trisha could hear the genuine concern in his voice, but her eyes drifted away from his face. Trisha’s heartbeat could not help but accelerate.

Her young master had changed in a way that was nearly fatal to her composure.

Just as he was thinking, the sound of footsteps came from the distance. Moments later, a small group of Saint Family soldiers, fully armed to the teeth, appeared in the distance, swarming around Cole and Trisha with cold, indifferent eyes.

The leader of the group, a burly soldier dressed in full metal armor, looked at Cole and then at Trisha as if searching for something. After confirming that everything was in order, he looked directly into Cole’s eyes and said in a slightly aggressive voice:

"Young master, this is the time of the emergency, not child’s play. Once the sun sets, no one is allowed to step outside of their designated zone. If anyone dares to step outside, they will be treated as intruders. We have received direct orders from the vice family head to kill any intruder on sight. Considering your position, we will give you one warning, but proceed carefully where you are going."

Huh? Emergency?

Cole was left stunned once more. He turned to Trisha, looking for an explanation, but Trisha was also confused. All this time she had stayed just outside the training room just in case Cole needed anything, so she had not noticed the massive change that had happened outside.

The two might not have realized it yet, but the entire family estate had been emptied.

Just a few hours ago, a family-wide lockdown had been imposed. No one was allowed to move in or out of the family estate.

Couriers were searched, and some important family members were stripped naked and checked.
