Chapter 59: Spirit Contract - 2

Atlas looked at her for a few seconds.

Then he spoke.

"Explain the terms first."

Seraphiel nodded, as if she had expected that too.

"Of course. The contract will state that Rosaria Household will introduce you to the master craftsman and will not claim ownership over your Whirlstone, the weapon created from it, or your future relics and materials without your agreement."

Atlas’s gaze remained steady.

Seraphiel continued.

"In return, you will acknowledge Rosaria Household as a priority business contact. That means if you are willing to sell relics, materials, or information from ruins in the future, you will consider us before selling to other houses or merchants. It does not force you to sell."

Atlas stayed quiet.

That part matched what she had said before.

It was not a forced sale, It was not a command. It only meant that if Atlas had something he already planned to sell, then Rosaria Household would be considered first.

At least, it was acceptable if the Spirit Contract truly worked the way Seraphiel said.

Seraphiel continued again.

"For the Abyss-Rank Ruin, the contract will be separate but connected. If you pass the re-assessment and choose to accept the task, you will clear one Rosaria-owned Abyss-Rank Ruin alone, under terms we agree on. The reward, rights over relics, and distribution of materials can be written clearly before you enter."

Atlas narrowed his eyes slightly.

"What about my safety?"

Seraphiel answered without hesitation.

"Rosaria Household will not harm you, trap you, poison you, force you, detain you, steal from you, or expose your personal information without your consent. If anyone from my side violates that, the Spirit Contract will react."

Atlas looked at her carefully.

"And if I violate it?"

"If you attempt to steal from Rosaria Household, attack us without cause, or sell agreed information to a competing house after signing a specific deal, the contract will react against you as well."

Atlas thought about it.

The terms sounded fair.

But that was why the Spirit Contract mattered. Words could be changed later. Nobles could twist promises easily if nothing bound them. Atlas had seen enough people with power use language however they wanted. A contract that only relied on trust would be useless to him.

But if Spirit itself bound both sides, then the agreement could become usable.

Atlas finally spoke.

"Add two more things."

Seraphiel looked at him and asked.

"What are they?"

"No one from Rosaria Household follows me secretly after I leave this estate. And about you knowing my sudden jump in strength, you won’t speak of it to anyone."

Seraphiel paused for a moment.

She understood why he asked for both.

The first one was because he did not want hidden eyes following him. The second was because his growth speed was not normal. Even if Seraphiel did not know the method, she had already heard enough to understand that he had become much stronger in a short time.

Then she nodded.

"Alright. I will add both."

Atlas leaned back slightly.

"Then bring the contract."

Seraphiel’s eyes softened a little.

Not because the matter was finished, but because the conversation had finally reached the proper stage. Atlas was not trusting her, He was trusting a written and Spirit-bound agreement. For now, that was enough.

She stood up and turned slightly toward the door.

"Flora."

The door opened a few seconds later, and Flora stepped inside.

"Yes, Lady Seraphiel?"

"Bring a blank Spirit Contract. High-grade."

Flora’s eyes shifted briefly toward Atlas before she lowered her head.

"Yes, my Lady."

Then she left to prepare it.

Atlas remained seated on the couch.

Seraphiel sat back down opposite him.

Neither of them spoke for a few seconds.

Atlas looked at Seraphiel and thought silently.

’If this contract is real, then this might work.’

Seraphiel also looked at him and thought quietly.

’If he really reaches A-Rank after the assessment, then this relation is worth more than I expected.’

A few moments later, the door opened again, and Flora came in with a rolled scroll in her hand.

Atlas narrowed his eyes.

He sensed the amount of Spirit inside that scroll immediately. It was not ordinary paper. The Spirit inside it was spread evenly from one end to another, and it felt dense enough that even someone like Atlas, who was still learning about relics, could understand it had value.

’A relic.’

He looked at the scroll more carefully.

’So Spirit Contracts are also relics huh?’

Flora handed the scroll to Seraphiel.

After taking it, Seraphiel opened the scroll and placed it flat on the glass table in front of them.

Atlas saw the blank contract page.

There were no written words on it yet, but the Spirit concentration remained the same across every part of the scroll.

Seraphiel broke the silence.

"Now, speak your terms and it will automatically register them. The text will appear on the scroll naturally, so we don’t have to use a pen."

Atlas slightly arched an eyebrow.

’Hmm? It doesn’t need a stylus or pen?’

His thoughts went to the Codex for a moment.

’But the Codex needs it, the function must be different for this relic.’

That made sense.

The Codex and the Spirit Contract might both be relics, but their rules were not the same. The Codex used blood and the Sanguis Stylus. This scroll used spoken terms and agreement between two parties.

Atlas nodded.

Flora left the room again and closed the door.

After that, Atlas began speaking his terms.

He did not speak quickly.

He explained each condition clearly so there would be no confusion later. Rosaria Household would not claim his Whirlstone, the weapon created from it, or any relics and materials he recovered unless he personally agreed. They would not follow him secretly, expose his information, poison him, trap him, detain him, or interfere with his movements without consent. His sudden rise in strength would also not be spoken of by Seraphiel or anyone from her side if she informed them about it.

As Atlas spoke, words began appearing on the scroll.

The text formed by itself.

Line after line appeared on the blank surface, written in clean black letters that carried faint Spirit around them.

Atlas watched while speaking.

The scroll really was recording his words.

After a few minutes, he finished stating his terms. Half of the scroll had filled itself with his conditions, and beneath his terms, a Signature section appeared.

Atlas looked at that section.

"You said we don’t need a pen?"

Seraphiel spoke again.

"Indeed, we don’t need a pen at all. You only have to speak with Spirit in your voice and say your name. It does not need the full name to be usable. Only your first name or last name would do."

Atlas nodded as he mused in his mind.

’Oh? Then it’s good for me. My last name is fake anyway.’

He had used Atlas Crosswood from Ormolio itself because Atlas Mariorett belonged to his old life and had too many risks attached to it. If the contract only needed one part of the name, then using Atlas was enough.

Atlas took a small breath and figured out how to speak with Spirit mixed into his voice.

It was not difficult.

His control had increased a lot after the past few days, and Spirit moved more smoothly inside his body now. He pushed a faint amount into his throat and spoke.

"Atlas..."

His voice echoed lightly in the room with faint Spirit mixed into it.

He learned it by instinct, just like he had learned his Traits one after another after Assimilation.

The moment the sound reached the scroll, text appeared beside the Signature section.

[ Atlas ]

Atlas looked at it for a second.

The scroll had accepted it.

Seraphiel nodded, then began speaking her own terms.

Her terms were also direct.

Rosaria Household would introduce Atlas to the master craftsman. They would not claim his Whirlstone or the weapon made from it. Atlas would consider Rosaria Household first for future business related to relics, materials, and ruin information, but he would not be forced to sell. The Abyss-Rank Ruin matter would require a separate written detail before entry, including reward, rights, and conditions. Neither side would violate the agreed safety conditions.

As Seraphiel spoke, her words also formed on the scroll.

Atlas listened carefully.

He checked whether any wording felt strange, but nothing seemed twisted. The terms matched the earlier discussion.

After a few minutes, Seraphiel finished, and another Signature section appeared at the end of the scroll.

This time, Seraphiel did the same.

She spoke with Spirit in her voice.

"Seraphiel Rosaria."

Her name appeared clearly on the scroll.

And at that moment, Atlas finally noticed something properly.

Her Spirit density was similar to his.

His eyes narrowed slightly beneath the hood.

’Hmm... She was A-Rank from the beginning. I couldn’t sense her Spirit at that time, which means she is skilled.’

It was not that Seraphiel had no Spirit presence.

She was simply good at controlling and hiding it.

That made Atlas understand her a little more.

She was not only a noble businesswoman, but She was also strong enough to hide her strength properly.

On the other side, Seraphiel looked at the scroll.

The whole Spirit Contract glowed white for a moment. fгeewebnovёl.com

Then the scroll slowly dissolved into light particles and disappeared from the table.

Atlas watched the process without looking away.

Seraphiel spoke.

"Now the contract has been finalized, Mr. Atlas. Would you follow me so we can go to the craftsman?"

Atlas looked at the place where the scroll had disappeared for a few seconds.

’Hmm, so that’s how a Spirit Contract works.’

Then he lifted his head and spoke.

"Yes, let’s go."
