My stomach felt really uncomfortable, so I strolled out of the room, cursing Seoha out for being a betrayer.
He was supposed to sleep next to me but he’s busy sleeping next to some alpha.
Tsk.
I took a walk down the stairs and sat outside the house, I probably would look crazy to anyone that would pass by, but I didn’t care.
Since I got pregnant, I stopped caring about a lot of things, I just let life lead.
My brain still thinks things through, but it processes them slower.
I saw Taesan come out of the house dressed in all black and holding a sheathed sword. The man didn’t notice me, but I kept watching him.
So Daeshin wasn’t lying when I beat the confession out of him...Taesan really is the captain that everyone talks about on the news.
My body was locked in confusion as I watch him take a car.
I just knew something was going on, and stupid me, stupid old me, I got into a taxi and followed him all the way to a strangers house.
I kept a small distance when I realized it was Daeshin’s house.
Maybe he’ll shake him up and leave...but Taesan wasn’t leaving the house yet, so I moved closer to the house and overheard everything.
Sooin is really Seoha’s daughter.
That bastard sold my best friend out?
But before I can take a step inside to yell at Daeshin or give him a satisfactory punch, Taesan’s sword sliced the man’s throat open and his body dropped to the floor.
This...this is my present situation.
"Oh my goddess" I gasp out loud.
The alpha turns around, chest rising and falling as he takes in my sight...he looks like a monster.
Only his eyes are visible, but he looks horrifying, like if I don’t run, he will also murder me.
I turn to run away but a strong hand is slapped over my mouth and I struggle, screaming into the person’s palm as I fight for my life.
Please!
Please! I don’t want to die this way! I swear I’ll never be nosy ever again!

"Stop screaming, FUCK!" Junho’s voice says in my ear, and before I can process anything, everything goes black and I pass out from the shock.

I’m safe.
I know Junho won’t let Taesan hurt me.
When I wake up, I’m in an apartment that I don’t recognize...is this an apartment of a penthouse?
The couch is sturdy, it’s a beautiful beige material, and it feels comfortable.
There are voices coming from another room and I sit up, patting my stomach to make sure I’m alive.
Great, I’m alive, I’m okay, and I’m never going to be this stupid in my life again.
As soon as I get up, I see Junho coming in with a scowl on his face and a very angry looking Taesan behind him.
"He’s awake" Taesan says coldly, tilting his head in my direction and Junho growls at him, low and threatening.
"Taesan"
"You’re lucky, omega, no one sees Captain and lives to tell the story" the alpha says to me and I shrink into myself, taking my seat again.
He’s terrifying.
I thought it was all fun and games till I saw him kill Daeshin effortlessly. It suddenly plays in front of my eyes, the way the blood spilled and the way his eyes emptied.
Goddess, I’m going to be sick.
I slap my hand over my mouth, hunching over and retching.
"Damn it" Junho says rushing over to me with a small bucket, patting my back as I empty my stomach into the bucket.
The sight of blood isn’t leaving my memory, it’s disturbing, but what is even more disturbing was the way Taesan wasn’t bothered at all.
The alpha looked like he was in his natural habitat.
What is Seoha doing with a man like this? What is Seoha doing in life generally?
"Oh goddess" I mutter, and Junho wipes my mouth clean with a white napkin.
"How do you feel?" Junho asks softly and I shake my head, too overwhelmed to think of myself in the moment.
"Is this what you do?" I ask Taesan in an accusatory tone and the man diverts his attention to Junho.
He looks like he’s telling his friend to rein me in.
"Minjae" Junho sighs.
"No, does Seoha know? Does he know you kill people for a living?" I ask, slowly getting hysterical as I imagine him hurting my best friend.
I knew something was wrong with him from the start, I knew it!
"Yes, Seoha knows just what I am" Taesan responds in a cold tone, he almost looks like he blames me for seeing that he’s a monster.
"And? Goddess help me, no wonder you found it so easy to bash his head in, you motherfucker!" I yell and Junho squats in front of me.
"Minjae, look at me" he says and I do, I look into his face, panting as I look at him.
This can’t be real. Yes Daeshin told me everything, but it sounded like exaggerated things to me.
"Taesan isn’t a bad person"
"You kill too, don’t you?" I ask and his eyes instantly turns ice cold.
"Is there- I’m going to be sick again" I manage to say before pouring it all into the bucket.
"Get him water" Junho says without looking away from me, and the alpha obeys.
Taesan leaves us briefly and I try to calm down.
"I understand your shock and fear, but I promise you, Taesan is not a bad person" Junho says and starts to talk.
He unravels everything from their point of view and I listen to every word.
I don’t argue, I don’t forgive or forget what I witnessed, but I listen patiently.
Taesan is the heir to a throne, Taesan wants to have the kingdom, Taesan kills to serve justice.
"So now what happens?" I ask after he has given me all the details I need to know.
"I quit the underworld" Taesan says from the door, and Junho snarls at him with anger.
"You can’t"
"I can and I will, I won’t wait longer" Taesan snarls right back and I sit there on the couch.
