Beyond the Horizon(An apocalypse novel)

[And thus, did man walk the earth

Among its dead and ruins

Frail, weak and fading.

Yet hopeful, ever the fool.

For cradled in his chest, lay an ember,

To be forged into a blade.

If only to pierce beyond the horizon.]

“There's something deeply wrong with you.”

It was a phrase Miles had long grown tired of hearing.

But it wasn't wrong.

After fleeing a troubled home, there had been some hope for normalcy in his life.

If merely a facade of it.

Yet life had never been all too kind to him, and he'd learned not to expect much from it. Having his only chance at a normal high school life disrupted was par for the course.

What he hadn't expected was for that disruption to be the end of the world.

There'd always been something wrong with him; now, that wrongness had spread to the world.

At the very least, he finally fit in.

Hey there lovely people, second times the charm right?

This is an apocalypse novel. It has overall somewhat light system elements.

But it isn't really the focus of the story, the characters and world are.

I think I've learned alot from my previous book. I'll try my best to put those lessons into use here.
