I’ll have your husband record the whole thing, and then you can see for yourself if I’m lying."

As she spoke, Lin Yafei turned her gaze on Lu Tianxing. "So, little man, do you support my proposal?"

"You and Lin Demon are friends, besties. Haven’t you noticed that when she says stuff like this, her eyes are always smiling? That’s her classic ’conning people’ look. Last time in your office, when she conned you, she had the exact same expression. Don’t tell me you couldn’t even see that, wife?" Lu Tianxing looked at Bai Zhiqing’s dazedly cute face and explained helplessly.

Hearing this, Bai Zhiqing instinctively turned to look at Lin Yafei, and happened to catch the laughter she couldn’t hide in her beautiful eyes. Her expression immediately soured. "Lin Demon, you dare to trick me?"

"What do you mean ’dare to trick you’? You’re just dumb, okay? You fall for it every single time." Lin Yafei completely ignored Bai Zhiqing’s murderous glare and said it with a bright smile.

"You..."

Bai Zhiqing glared fiercely at Lin Yafei, but there was nothing she could do. She realized she really couldn’t do anything to Lin Yafei—she couldn’t outtalk her, couldn’t outfight her, couldn’t do a damn thing.

"What, ’you’ what? You wanna hit me? Too bad, you can’t beat me."

Lin Yafei seemed to read Bai Zhiqing’s thoughts, a trace of undisguised mockery flashing across her face. She looked utterly triumphant.

Lu Tianxing froze.
