Chapter 96: Chapter 96 Equal Love Confession

Elara’s POV

Alistair paid Silas no attention. Silas was being absolutely ridiculous. First, he’d pushed his mating cycle to start early just to mess with everyone else, and now he was pulling this drama?

If it weren’t for the fact that I obviously had feelings for him, Alistair would’ve let his temper loose long ago.

And now that Silas had gotten exactly what he wanted, he still had the nerve to act all superior—like he was spoiling for a fight?

Fine. Let’s see where this goes...

The indicator on Alistair’ chest blinked. He dropped his head, his voice heavy with disappointment. "There’s still dirt in the greenhouse that needs turning. I shouldn’t be hanging around here. You two... I... I should go first."

After that, Alistair shut the door softly behind him.

"Hold up—I’m coming too," I shouted after him.

Screw fooling around with the rabbit. I’m over this game!

The shipment goes out tomorrow. No products mean no cash. No cash means no way to buy Holy Crystals.

Silas sat there, totally stunned.

He couldn’t stop me at all. I stood up easily and switched spots, not even remotely clingy.

I was really excellent at using him and then ditching him...

——

Silas gnawed on the wooden bed frame, seething with frustration.

Alistair was far too smart. What a perfectly executed scheme!

Fuming, Silas pushed himself up, launched off with his legs, and landed on Elara’s bed. The blankets were soaked with her scent—that intoxicating aroma that flooded his senses. He clutched her pillow against his chest, his face expressionless. "What a nightmare. I seriously want to eliminate them." freewebnøvel.coɱ

But if he eliminated them, Elara would be heartbroken. If Elara was heartbroken, she might give him the cold shoulder. He refused to risk even a tiny chance of that happening. If he couldn’t touch those six bastards, he’d just have to channel his rage somewhere else.

Now that he was free, it was time to school those brainless morons!

He flipped over and activated his comms. Silas pulled up the interface and flagged every location Elara had visited recently!

Before, with just the tablet, he’d only accessed basic details. Now, with complete comms privileges, he could see it all.

Then, he discovered her history...

But the more he browsed, the more Silas’s face darkened!

Shame, divorce... every degrading memory connected to Elara scrolled past on the screen. Combined with the tracking data from her collar, everything about Cassian, Beatrix, and those Blackwood family members was spread out in front of him...

However, when he spotted Cassian’ current profile, Silas’s eyebrows drew together slightly. Cassian was already on Ore-core World?

Seemed like someone had already handled that garbage ahead of him.

So... what about those from the Blackwood clan?

Silas lazily flicked through the screen icons, and his expression grew even more menacing!

Thorne... how did that worthless scum dare?

Silas shot to his feet, snatched his jacket, and strode out rapidly.

Elara’s POV

In the greenhouse, Alistair detached his mechanical arm and swapped it for a specialized digging tool.

I stood off to the side watching, but Alistair kept his back to me and seemed reluctant to chat.

Oh well, I got it!

This was the tricky part about having multiple husbands. Getting cozy with one meant the others felt left out. There were perks, but also tons of complications.

"You’ve already turned so much soil?" I said, stepping closer and attempting conversation.

"Yep," Alistair answered.

I cocked my head. That’s all?

Then I glanced up and caught Alistair’ stare—his eyes were glowing with a tiny heart-shaped light. Alistair moved forward and lifted me up. "Don’t look at me that way. I’m not mad..."

"Me looking at you has zero connection to whether you’re mad or not!" Alistair went still as I continued, "Earlier, I thought you might all die, so I acted clueless on purpose..."

Alistair’ breathing stuttered. He stared at me, his voice suddenly rough. "And now?"

"It’s kind of complicated," I said. "Even though you were all stuck in the medical bay, I know you were keeping tabs on me. That time those two jerks came for me, you were the one who contacted the traveling merchant for me, right?"

Alistair nodded, looking more shocked than anything. He hadn’t thought I’d figured all that out. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"See? You all worried about even the tiniest things involving me. Even when you couldn’t leave, you still stressed about me. Kaelen’s Dragonfire Blaster, Julian’s Fishbone Blade, Prince Dorian’s ring, Barrett’s Moonshadow Blade, Finnian’s starship—oh, and this bracelet."

Nestled in Alistair’ arms, I rattled off everything they’d done for me, piece by piece.

I wasn’t just sweet-talking them. That night with the bug creatures, if it hadn’t been for the weapons Kaelen and the others had armed me with, I probably wouldn’t have survived.

"If you want to know what I like about Silas, it’s probably that when I first landed here, you were all in your animal forms and pretty weird-looking ones too. Only he talked to me in his human shape.

"Back then, brand new to this world, I was terrified and alone. Silas seemed more like safety. So, I naturally developed feelings for him. Liking someone... there’s no real reason behind it. Because right now, I like every single one of you exactly the same."

I preferred straight talk. Having a voice was meant for using it, after all.
