Chapter 90: Chapter 90 Tender Moments Unfold
Elara’s POV
I frowned, then pulled out my little handkerchief and wiped the water droplets from Julian’s face.
The second my fingers brushed his skin, Julian glanced up at me, his expression mixing surprise with delight. His eyes sparked, the dull look melting into something warmer—something satisfied—as I dabbed the moisture away.
His gaze tracked my hand’s movement, a grin pulling at his lips that he couldn’t hold back. He tilted his neck a bit, relishing my attention; his seemingly wandering eyes stayed locked on me the entire time.
"My mate is just too cute!" he thought.
"All done," I said. "Now water won’t drip into your cake."
Done with the task, I didn’t even bother wanting the handkerchief back. Looking at the wet fabric, I casually pressed it into Julian’s palm. "Keep it."
Julian’s eyes grew wide. His fingers shook slightly as he clutched the small pink leopard-print handkerchief. It still carried my scent. He dropped his gaze, his thoughts practically bursting with celebration. He lifted it to his nose and breathed in gently.
I reached over and tapped his attractive forehead. "What are you fantasizing about over there? Your tail became legs."
Shocked, Julian peered down. Indeed, two long, naked legs floated in the water. If his hair wasn’t so lengthy, he’d be displaying far more than just legs...
Dorian, who had just awakened, caught my voice and was now restlessly pacing by his food hatch, hoping I’d visit him soon...
"Elara..." the leopard was chomping his own tails, spinning in circles with excitement.
Hearing the commotion, Julian’s expression soured. "We’ve barely had a chance to chat. Why is Dorian calling her like a lost dog?"
"You enjoy that," I told him.
As I spoke, I reached over again and scratched beneath Julian’s chin, like I was stroking a pet. I did it completely naturally, leaving Julian with no escape. But that simple caress from me made his spirit collapse level drop by another point.
Down to 63!
A small food hatch divided the two of us, each absorbed in our own musings. I finished petting him and got up, leaving Julian flushed from head to toe, completely rattled.
"Your Highness, sleep well?" I asked as I walked over to Dorian’s food hatch.
"Mhm..." Dorian murmured.
Every night in my dreams, he served as my pillow. The moment we connected, Dorian leaned his head forward, and I stretched out to pet it. Dorian softly nuzzled my palm, enjoying my touch. frёeωebɳovel.com
Julian wasn’t mistaken; Dorian really couldn’t be regarded as much of a leopard anymore. Based on his actions now, he was behaving quite dog-like.
"What brings you here at this hour?" Dorian asked, batting his large gray-blue eyes.
Mixed with his naturally sweet face, I felt my heart soften a little. So far, Dorian showed the biggest difference among them. His beast form was adorable, and in my dreams, with his chubby little cheeks, he was constantly seeking hugs...
"I brought you some dessert, Your Highness," I said.
When dealing with Dorian, I found my patience expanding and my voice becoming gentler. Previously, I used to mention he was young. Now, after a couple nights of snuggling, any trace of embarrassment had mostly disappeared.
Dorian whined, "Want you to feed me..."
——
Barrett, in Chamber Four, responded immediately. This time, it wasn’t the bars he chomped—it was the genuine leather sofa...

"Want me to feed you?" I asked.
"Mhm. I haven’t changed to my human form yet. If I eat sweets like this, I’ll get cream all over my fur. It’ll be tough to clean. So, can you feed me?" Dorian explained as he settled down, tucking his paws under his two tails, gazing at me with hopeful, blinking eyes.
I was shocked for a moment. How can Dorian be this charming? There’s no way I can refuse him.
He was equally adorable and endearing.
"Then, open up, Your Highness?" I said, my eyes forming crescents.
My mythical creature was truly attractive. Actually, it would be fine if Dorian never changed to his human form. With a beast form like his, taking him out for a stroll would definitely attract attention!
The leopard ate with pure delight. If I fed him too slowly, he’d release a small whimper of protest. I fed him bit by bit, sometimes using a tissue to clean his mouth. I always had unlimited patience for those younger than me...
——
Finnian remained quiet, sitting on the sofa and reading. Silas next door appeared calm as well—at least outwardly.
Silas’s eyes seemed even more crimson. He glared at the tablet in his hand, which displayed that Elara had already been loitering outside Chamber Three for quite a while!
A short while at Chamber Two. Chamber One wasn’t even worth considering.
Silas clenched his teeth and furiously tossed the tablet aside. "A bunch of jerks, crowding around her. Fine. Let’s see how she chooses then."
With that thought, Silas’s attention shifted to a drawer next to him. He didn’t want to wait any longer. Looking at the marriage mark on his hand, he expertly extracted a syringe and injected it into his own arm...

Elara’s POV
Outside Chamber Three, I was completely oblivious. After feeding Dorian, I turned and walked straight toward Barrett. I was beginning to feel a bit of joy now. After all, they were each attractive in their own way. They weren’t just a group of beasts anymore.
It’s true; you need to see a human face to develop genuine feelings.
Animals, no matter how beautiful, can only be companions. As for husbands... well...
Speaking of which, why does Barrett look so irritated today?
Barrett had just completed his workout before I arrived and had taken a quick shower. His hair was still partially damp, his shirt wasn’t buttoned correctly, and he was in a moody state. Now, standing by the food hatch with one hand in his pocket, he looked exactly like a sentinel.
