Chapter 82: Chapter 82 Perfect Aim
Elara’s POV
The dead trees were just a diversion to cause mayhem. Cassian had body armor on, and I really didn’t feel like touching that disgusting thing.
I steadied myself, aimed carefully, and pulled the trigger.
The gunshot cracked through the air. When the echo faded, an unnatural quiet settled over everything...
Cassian stared in shock at the space between his legs. Blood streamed down his thighs, rapidly pooling on the ground below.
"Your Highness..."
The other wolf guard stammered, his voice shaking. Terror filled his eyes as he looked at Cassian.
Cassian stumbled backward, his face ghostly white, and then... something seemed to fall.
Cassian gasped, staring down at his own groin like he’d witnessed something horrifying. His mouth moved without sound. Ice-cold panic flooded through him from head to toe.
"How... how did it hit there?"
After those words left his lips, he went slack and crashed backward to the ground. No more threats spilled from his mouth.
He looked as if he couldn’t believe his history of violating females had ended with him being destroyed by one.
Cassian looked deathly white, completely drained of color.
I let out a snort. It’s just castration. Is his reaction really that over the top?
A sharp finger snap cut through the bizarre silence. The dead trees retreated, and my face slowly became visible to the few men still on their feet.
I settled on a boulder, crossing my long legs. My voice came out low and icy, "How does it feel, Cassian?"
"You reckless, idiotic-" one of the surviving guards began to spit curses.
I lashed out with a vine and launched him through the air. "I’m speaking. Why are you yapping?" I sneered. "Didn’t your mother raise you with any respect?"
I lifted the massive sniper rifle and aimed it at Cassian once more. "Given what you’ve pulled, everything that went down tonight is completely on you. Cassian, if I were in your position, I’d focus my rage on the insectoids—not prey on defenseless females when it’s convenient. I’m sparing your life, not because I fear you, but because scum like you needs to survive to answer for your crimes!"
I got to my feet. "I’ll be keeping an eye on you. If you ever dare harm another female again, I’ll end you permanently!"
Playing the righteous hero feels incredible!
I tilted my head up. The distant rumble of a starship engine grew louder. I tucked away the sniper rifle and disappeared into the maze of dead trees.
"Go after her, you morons!" Cassian bellowed before losing consciousness completely.
His soldiers attempted to pursue, but they were all knocked back by a freezing blue dragon!

When Rory and his troops showed up, this is what greeted them: a water dragon soared into the sky, burst apart, and instantly crystallized into ice. Before Rory could react, Elara snatched the vine cocoon, leaped into her vessel, and zoomed off.
She... just took off?
Rory immediately checked his timepiece. He wasn’t behind schedule. Just under the time limit. He’d arrived within the agreed timeframe.
It’s finished already? Who was Mr. Foxglove so concerned about safeguarding?
Just observe this devastation. She absolutely demolished them!
The troops from Frostpeak World gazed up at Finnian’s starship, too stunned for words.
Rory approached to examine Cassian’ condition. One look was sufficient to make him retreat in revulsion... freёwebnoѵel.com
One of his men reported, "It’s Prince Cassian!"
Rory questioned, "You recognize him?"
The subordinate confirmed. "Recognize him? Everyone does. He’s filth. Exploits his position to commit all sorts of horrible acts. He operates some corrupt enterprise in Glimmeraven Port. Doesn’t matter if people consent or not, male or female. But seeing him now... he received exactly what he had coming."
Rory raised his hand to silence him. He genuinely didn’t want to acknowledge that this piece of trash Cassian had the same mother as Finnian. The notion made him nauseous.
"No surprise Mr. Foxglove despises visiting the Queen. I refuse to believe she’s unaware of what Cassian has been doing!" Rory thought.
"Withdraw," Rory commanded.
"But Prince Cassian..."
Rory interrupted, "Not our concern."
Finnian only instructed him to guard Elara. He never mentioned anything about caring for the injured. Furthermore, Cassian caused this himself.
Rory and his forces retreated immediately. But he didn’t head back to Frostpeak World with the main group. Instead, he redirected toward Glimmeraven Port. Finnian had instructed him to bring pastries to Voidferal Feral Territory daily.
Perfect opportunity to meet Elara face-to-face! And discover exactly what transpired here.
Rory’s soldiers had barely departed when Trevor’s team appeared. Observing Cassian lying nearly dead on the ground, his lower body ruined, Trevor pinched his nose in disgust.
"He got himself castrated just like that?"
He’d assumed Cassian was more resilient. He came to assist, but it turned out he wasn’t necessary at all.
The three groups completely bypassed each other. By the time Cassian’ own backup arrived, the entire incident was long finished.

Elara’s POV
"You’re conscious?"
I was seated in the ship’s quarters, using my ability to mend Vivienne’s injuries...
Vivienne whispered, "You..."
Catching Vivienne’s bewildered gaze, I smiled. "Me what? You should be expressing gratitude. I didn’t even abandon you during all that madness!"
Vivienne collapsed on the floor, crying hysterically. This response took me completely by surprise.
