Chapter 36: Chapter 36 Venomforged Victory
Elara’s POV
I nodded, but inside, I was sneering. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
This guy’s nothing but a complete pervert.
When everyone else in the room caught onto how Cassian was behaving, they took the hint immediately and slipped out without a word.
The moment we were alone, Cassian shoved me down onto the couch and leaned in with hungry intent, attempting to kiss me.
I didn’t pull back—I just met his gaze with calm composure. Cassian looked even more satisfied. He must’ve thought his earlier heroic display had won me over.
He probably thought to himself how much he couldn’t stand girls who put on a fake innocent act—it was just irritating.
Believing I was playing along, he moved closer for the kiss. But just before his lips could reach mine, a sharp wave of dizziness slammed into him.
I smirked. My wood power had hit Level 4, and I’d unlocked a fresh attack: Venomforged—a poisonous fog that toxified anyone who inhaled it.
I’d triggered it the instant that creep had bent over me. Level 4 strength was more than sufficient to bring this garbage down.
Cassian’ vision blurred, and his skull pounded brutally. He grabbed for the armrest to balance himself—but I kicked him viciously.
The strike was savage. Already poisoned, Cassian’ head drooped sideways, and he collapsed unconscious.
I got to my feet, brushed the dried tears off my cheeks, and stared down at the barely-breathing Cassian sprawled on the ground. I sent out vines to tear off every piece of his clothing, snapped a full gigabyte of compromising pictures, then broke into laughter.
Cassian was just as vile as Giselle—but he hadn’t figured out who I was, either.
Previously, the original Elara had been paired with him. But Cassian had rejected her in front of everyone, embarrassed that she possessed no spiritual abilities. He’d made her the laughingstock of the entire Valerion Empire, and she’d lost her final shred of value within her family.
The original girl had been frantic. She’d put on a bold front and claimed three men from the Blackwood family only to become a mockery again and lose her life over it.
But now, with this gigabyte of pictures, he’d be the one getting mocked.
I raised an eyebrow. I was going to tear these people apart piece by piece.
I grinned, "Tiny but adorable. Savor it—you can get whatever you desire in your fantasies."
It was an assault on his ego, not just his flesh.
Cassian would never have imagined that the crown prince of the Valerion Empire would be outsmarted by some random female.
Even worse, he hadn’t actually done anything to me. He’d only embraced me, and still managed to walk straight into my snare.
I didn’t rush to leave. I took a shower in the private suite. The outfit I’d been wearing had been contaminated by that lowlife, and I felt revolted—I wasn’t keeping it.
Fortunately, I had storage space. I pulled out a fresh set of clothes, got changed, then exited the room.
When I opened the door, Cassian’ bodyguards encircled me instantly. But a dense cloud of green vapor erupted—Venomforged—and dropped them all unconscious.
I snapped my fingers. I used vines to strip all the guards bare, dumped them into the private room, then calmly dialed the galactic police.
"I want to report public indecency," I said coolly.
After ending the call, I glanced at the four females cowering in the corner. "Hurry up and run."
The girls jolted out of their daze, looked at each other, then helped one another into the elevator.
Once they’d left, I climbed back onto my hover scooter, programmed the coliseum as my target, and cruised smoothly toward it.
——
Giselle was drowning in regret. She couldn’t grasp how that female—who had zero spiritual power—had captured Cassian’ attention. Was it really just her looks?
She was boiling with rage, but didn’t dare reveal it. Two of Cassian’ men shoved her toward a cage.
One of them said, "His Highness is occupied with his new toy. You’ll need to get into this dog cage to please him. Don’t fret—we won’t let the creatures harm you. Go ahead."
The guards weren’t saints. Females in the Valerion Empire were so conceited that they’d never even acknowledge males like them.
Once Giselle crawled into the cage, the two men exchanged a wicked grin and lowered her down.
The match was meant to be against a B-class fox beast. But they’d replaced him with an A-class snake beast.

Elara’s POV
I walked into the coliseum without any hassle whatsoever. The attendant at the entrance immediately bowed to me, his demeanor shifting so dramatically that it shocked me.
——
As soon as Elara was inside, the attendant quickly texted the manager, "I spotted Mr. Pendragon’s symbol."
The manager responded, "Stop bullshitting. Mr. Pendragon has been gone for years—no chance it’s his symbol."
The attendant typed, "I’m telling the truth! It’s on a female. It’s tiny, but it’s definitely Mr. Pendragon’s symbol. I’d never get it wrong."
It was a terror embedded in their very bones. Loads of beastmen in the Valerion Empire wore rabbit accessories, but the crossed death symbol was a secret known only to those in the know. That was Silas’s personal signature.
