Chapter 33: Chapter 33 First Flight Out

Elara’s POV

Since it was still early, I decided to stretch out on the couch and pull up my phone for some browsing.

I started with a shopping app, hunting for those special items I needed. But the moment the vendor spotted my delivery address in the Voidferal Feral Territory, a message popped up instantly.

"Sorry, we can’t deliver to the Voidferal Feral Territory. Could you provide an alternative address?" the seller wrote.

My fingers went still. I looked over at the compact aircraft Finnian had left me—untouched until now. Maybe it was time to test it out?

"Just give me a pickup location. I’ll come get it myself," I typed back.

"Seriously? I can cut 30,000 credits from the price if you do pickup. Sound good?" came the reply.

I nodded eagerly at my screen. Hell yes, that sounded perfect. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

Sure, I’ve got some money now, but it’s nowhere near enough.

I need to find other income streams. A normal job won’t make me wealthy.

Depending on men?

That’s even more pathetic.

Only I can be my own rock-solid foundation.

This trip would be the ideal opportunity to get out there and study the market firsthand.

Phone research only showed me half the picture. Every time I opened an app, the headlines screamed about insectoids or spiritual power gone haywire.

I’d barely been here recently, but I could tell these were the hottest topics in this reality.

I didn’t hesitate. I rushed back to my room to change clothes and crammed all the weapons they’d given me into my bag. After getting fully geared up, I powered on the aircraft.

A quiet whir filled the air, and suddenly a small starship materialized before me.

I stared in shock.

Hold on—wasn’t this supposed to be some tiny aircraft? This massive thing is hardly what I’d call compact.

"This looks like an actual flying wizard’s tower!" I shouted in amazement.

I was blown away—no surprise it had cost a fortune.

It had this sleek, cutting-edge alien design. I was dying to take it for a spin. I climbed the ladder and stepped through the entrance, then gasped all over again.

Beyond the command center, the interior was designed like a real residence: sleeping quarters, kitchen, washroom, and living space.

This is incredible.

I walked over to the control panel. Since I had no clue how to pilot it, I switched on autopilot, punched in the destination like Finnian had demonstrated, and hit confirm. The hatch sealed shut, and the craft compressed into an oval shape.

I’d braced for a rough journey, but the ride was incredibly smooth.

I had even prepared myself for nausea, but I couldn’t feel any motion at all. Then the control system announced our arrival. I checked my watch and froze in disbelief.

That quickly?

I stared at the dashboard and my jaw dropped again.

Warp technology? No surprise it’s so incredible.

I exited the ship, hit a button, and tucked it away. I’d done my homework—this was Glimmeraven Port, the biggest commercial planet in the galaxy.

The name itself screamed that this wasn’t your average location.

Starships typically docked in enormous underground hangars.

I looked around. This felt less like a planet and more like a colossal shopping center. The moment I walked in, I got handed a guide to Glimmeraven Port, displaying every zone, shop placement, and level.

I flipped through it and discovered they sold literally everything—from everyday clothing and meals to starships, slave auctions, fighting arenas, and bidding houses. It covered every necessity from cradle to grave, plus every type of entertainment.

They even had floating magnetic booths and dream chambers.

I felt like some small-town girl experiencing the big city for the first time—everything seemed foreign and fascinating.

Following the directions, I scanned to lease a hover board and climbed on. The entire platform rose up, making me go white with fear. Thank god it operated on fixed rails. Once it locked into place, stores stretched along both sides. I relaxed and tried to slow my pounding pulse.

I grabbed my phone, entered the shop’s location into the board’s system, and it glided smoothly up to the 97th level. When I got there, I stared at the storefront sign and fell into deep contemplation.

Seriously, who calls their business Bound and Unbound?

Oh, wait. I’m here buying things to tame someone...

Right as I collected my purchase from the shop owner, a cutting female voice rang out behind me. "Elara? You’re actually still breathing?"

I spun around and came face-to-face with someone I instantly despised—or rather, someone the original owner had hated.

Twin braids, angular features, and narrow lips...

She’s definitely the kind who thrives on starting drama. And those cruel eyes? Damn, this girl’s got every irritating quality rolled into one package.
