Chapter 134: Chapter 134 Marked Territory
Elara’s POV
"You can cook?" I asked.
Silas nodded. "For anyone else? No. But for you? Definitely."
I smiled. "Whatever you make, I’ll like it."
He’s completely lost it, hasn’t he?
I pressed my lips together, then sneakily reached my hand toward him. The second I made contact, I jerked it back.
Silas glanced down, his expression shifting. "Feeling playful?" Before I could respond, he swept me up and carried me inside.
Scared?
Not a chance. This is that commanding presence. Daddy, discipline me...
As much as I loved it, too much wasn’t exactly good for me.
Without that wood power sustaining me, would I even be able to stand? I’d have been bedridden ages ago.
Sex was thrilling, but draining.
"Wait," I said. "Weren’t you going to cook?"
Silas arched an eyebrow. "I am. I’m about to start cooking." He was teasing me. Watching my flustered face seemed to wash away whatever frustration he’d been carrying.
He looked at me as if I really was his remedy.
"You... I meant real food." I was getting frantic.
I’d just escaped from Finnian’s bed. If Silas pulled me into another session, I might actually collapse.
This rabbit.
Such a flirt. Such trouble.
Maybe I should just restrain him and escape...
But then Silas got up to leave, and I just watched him, jaw dropping slightly. I knew how intimidating Silas could get.
He’s really going?
He looked down, tucked the blanket around me, and grinned. "Why are you staring at me like that, baby? Or were you hoping I’d do something?"
I cleared my throat. "No. I’m a pure girl."
With that, I turned over, clutched a pillow, and faked sleep.
So embarrassing.
Silas’s eyes crinkled with amusement as he watched my ears flush red. He couldn’t hold back anymore. Leaning down, he curled around me.
"I thought you said..." I started.
He kissed me fiercely, stealing my breath like he wanted to consume me entirely.
This is it. This is the real Silas. Always surprising me.
Silas took my hand and placed it on his abs. Then, making sure I understood his message, he stripped off his shirt completely and pressed against me, skin to skin.
He was wearing the outfit I’d bought him—the one we didn’t use the first time. Today, he’d put it on.
"Baby," he whispered, "how do I measure up? Tell me. Look at me. Are you satisfied?"
I blinked.
How am I supposed to answer when I can barely breathe?
Silas’s eyes were intense, locked on my flushed face. Watching me—the one he couldn’t stop obsessing over—he couldn’t help but smile.
He looked at me as if he adored me, clearly loving how bashful he made me.
He’d once said he wanted to make me cry. Now it was reversed—I made his heart ache, and on top of that, Finnian had to show up and gloat.
His gaze darkened, and he kissed me again, his breath scorching, until my mind went blank.
"Baby," he said softly, "touch my abs. Back at the sanatorium, you used to love staring at them. Go ahead. You can touch my ears if you want."
"Baby, don’t you think my fingers are missing something?"
His tone was cunning. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
My thoughts were scattered everywhere.
Commanding presence? More like petty presence.
Silas kissed me passionately, one hand cradling my neck, the other guiding my hand along his body. "Baby, how about you just stay home from now on? Don’t go out with them anymore."
I rolled my eyes.
I didn’t even want to go out last night. I was just making a delivery.
"That’s my good baby. You’re mine, and I’m yours." His ears twitched. A slow grin spread across his face.
I could tell he’d noticed Finnian’s presence.
Silas lifted me off the bed and sat on the edge, settling me sideways on his lap. His torn shirt hung loosely from his shoulders as he straightened up.
He wrapped his arms around me, one hand cupping the back of my head, and kissed me deeply—all while staring directly at the doorway where Finnian stood.
His gaze was intense, his posture claiming. He was making a point.
He seemed to be making a point to Finnian that I, his wife, was consoling him and was right here with him.
——
Finnian stood in the shadows, his expression blank. When their eyes met, a cold smirk pulled at his lips.
"Pathetic. So desperate to prove something? Too bad. I’m not that easily baited."
Finnian let his robe slide off his shoulders.
Silas’s eyes went wide. Because Finnian’s body was covered in marks.
