Chapter 117: Chapter 117 Grand Declaration
Elara’s POV
I didn’t need anyone’s help getting ready, thanks to the butler bot Finnian had installed in the ship’s cabin. It sucked at makeup, but it was a wizard at helping me dress.
After my shower, I curled my hair and applied makeup for the first time in ages. When I stepped into my heels and caught my reflection, I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time.
I’m actually getting married.
The cabin door slid open with a hiss, and all seven of my husbands turned to look at me simultaneously. I could see their hearts skip a beat just from the way they stared. They stood frozen for a heartbeat before filing onto the ship in perfect formation.
We were flying to the Valerion Empire’s capital to make our marriage official.
Over the imperial city, gift convoys stretched in perfect lines as far as the eye could see. The fleet and processions had split into two massive groups. Even though this was supposed to be a wedding parade, the energy felt more like a military demonstration.
Fireworks and ceremonial displays waited for our main ship to arrive.
The gift convoys seemed endless, filling the sky above and below us.
"Who’s having a wedding this massive?"
"No idea, but she’s got to be somebody special. Those gift carts just keep coming. I’m so jealous."
People were still whispering when Dorian took the front and Kaelen brought up the rear. The second they appeared, chaos erupted. The crowd recognized them instantly.
"It’s Prince Dorian and General Kaelen!"
"It’s really them! But weren’t they locked up in that sanatorium in the Voidferal Feral Territory? What are they doing here?"
"They look different, but they seem perfectly healthy. That’s incredible. I never thought we’d see them at something like this again."
"Oh my god, I’m going to cry. The empire’s future is secure!"
I watched Dorian’s expression darken at the "different" comment. He rolled his eyes so hard I thought he’d hurt himself.
What morons. I think he’s a mythical creature!
Kaelen let out a deafening dragon roar that silenced the entire square instantly. The chattering stopped—partly from his overwhelming presence, and partly because the main event had finally begun.
Ceremonial cannons boomed across the sky while flower petals rained down from above.
Dorian strode forward like a conquering general. Behind him walked an elegant white unicorn, a sacred creature from Frostpeak World. I sat gracefully on its back, wearing the thousand-layered wedding gown embroidered with stars and moonlight.
The crowd went completely silent, every gaze locked on me.
Perched on the white steed, I felt almost otherworldly.
Behind me rolled a gleaming unicorn-drawn carriage that looked like something from a fairy tale. Inside sat my five devastatingly handsome grooms.
And at the very back? Kaelen.
Our entire family had arrived, more radiant than ever.
The dragon held his head high, breathing brilliant blue dragon-fire into the sky—so bright it blazed even in daylight.
The spectators had no clue who I was until they spotted the men in the carriage. Then the crowd went wild.
"Aren’t those the guys the system matched to that worthless Sterling girl? Why are they all here, in the carriage? Is that Elara on the unicorn?"
"Impossible! I know exactly what that useless Sterling girl looked like. I saw her chasing after the Blackwood brothers constantly." freewёbnoνel.com
"That can’t be right. I was there when she divorced them. The system did pair her with these men, and there are extras now. But if that’s not her, who is it?"
"No way! Look at Prince Dorian and the others—they’re completely fine. That girl had zero spiritual power. It definitely can’t be her."
"I heard she vanished after the divorce. A girl with no abilities like her is probably dead by now. These are all top-tier empire figures. The system would absolutely rematch them. You think they’d stick with someone like that?"
"That makes sense. And look at the girl on the horse. Have you ever seen anyone that gorgeous?"
Murmurs of agreement rippled through the crowd.
My past as a meek, bullied girl was common knowledge. Everyone remembered it.
"I don’t think it’s her either. The girl on the horse is breathtaking, almost unreal. How could that former nobody compare? The system did match these men to her initially... but look who’s sitting center stage in the carriage now." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
The crowd reluctantly shifted their attention from me to the carriage. Sitting right in the middle was Finnian, the Grand Duke of Frostpeak World.
In the imperial city, he held the title of duke. On Frostpeak World, he was the actual crown prince.
He was also Rosalind’s eldest son, the only imperial prince without the Halloway surname.
Someone like him could never be matched to a powerless nobody. Neither could the others.
So me? They ruled me out completely.
Riding the white unicorn, I finally grasped why my seven husbands had orchestrated such an elaborate, spectacular ceremony.
They were making a declaration. They were clearing my name, once and for all.
