Chapter 103: Chapter 103 Fox Ears Revealed

Elara’s POV freeweɓnøvel.com

"Doctor?" Finnian’s chin tilted up slightly.

He looked like he couldn’t process what he’d just heard. My mate really had zero filter at all.

I flashed him a grin. "Yep! And you know what? He’s really good-looking."

Finnian appeared ready to destroy something. He couldn’t contain his frustration any longer.

He spun away and managed only a frigid, sharp, "Oh."

"If there’s nothing else, I’m going to eat," he grumbled, clearly irritated.

I pressed against the food hatch, propping my chin on my hands, feeling thoroughly entertained.

Finnian could be cutting when he kept silent, but this jealous version of him? It was impossible not to find appealing.

"Sure thing," I replied brightly. "I’ll just stay right here and watch you."

Finnian grumbled quietly, "Suit yourself."

This moody little fox is so entertaining to provoke.

I wasn’t about to give up, either. As Finnian settled down, I called upon my wood power.

Emerald vines crept out, taking root in the floor, and twisted and wound around his feet, moving precisely as I directed.

Finnian gazed at my moving fingers in bewilderment—until a tickling, rustling sensation came from his ankles.

He shot to his feet in shock.

"Elara, you’re—" he started, but his objection sounded feeble.

I cocked my head. "What’s wrong? Your voice sounds all soft and breathless. Could it be that you’re really the so-called ’moaning king’ fox from the Voidferal Feral Territory?"

The instant I spoke, the vines became more adventurous.

I snapped my fingers, and one vine divided into two, wrapping up both of Finnian’s legs and gliding toward his chest.

"Elara!" Finnian’s voice wavered.

His jaw was clenched, his brows creased, his eyes downcast, and the corner of his mouth twitched involuntarily.

After saying my name, Finnian dropped his head, his long hair cascading forward to conceal his entire face. For just an instant, a tiny, nearly invisible smile touched his lips.

"I’m right here, my cute little fox," I laughed softly. "Why’s your face so red? Poor thing. Looks like you’re the one who needs a doctor."

I wiggled my fingers, and the vines responded, brushing delicately against Finnian’s handsome face.

Hah! A husband’s good looks are his wife’s pride!

You’re something else, little fox.

Finnian released a soft, unsteady breath.

His hands were suddenly captured, and secured firmly by the vines.

I gave a gentle pull, and he stumbled forward.

The little angel in my head spoke up again.

You’re just messing with him?

The little devil also jumped in to argue.

What else? You don’t actually think he’s being forced, do you?

You think he isn’t?

You’re too naive. Who blushes and acts all shy like that if they actually hate it? Don’t forget—he’s an SSS-class white fox beastman. I’m only Level 7. If he’d wanted to break free, he could’ve done it in a second. You can’t even tell he’s just pretending to be mad but secretly enjoying this. Now go sit in the corner.

I had to admit—the devil on my shoulder was right.

With that resolved, I grew bolder. I guided the vines to slip under Finnian’s clothes.

I’d always been curious about his style. It was neither fully ancient nor modern.

Among the seven in the facility, he was the only one who dressed like this: long, embroidered robes, tied at the waist with a cord.

He looked elegant and scholarly, yet dangerously tempting. That whole "stay away" vibe was completely ruined by his wide, open collar.

The contrast was perfect.

Is this what they call quiet seduction?

Finnian stumbled forward, drawn toward the food hatch. Unlike my obvious teasing, he leaned back slightly, as if he was actually flustered.

"Hiding from me?" I murmured.

I reached out and lifted his chin with one finger.

The moment my skin touched his, Finnian let out another soft, shaky sound.

That voice, that tone... it was like music to my ears.

"Elara, I’m not..." Finnian began, his voice strained.

"Not what?" I interrupted, my gaze wandering. "Not my husband? Or... not trying to seduce me?"

My eyes drifted down, stopping at the exposed line of his collarbone.

Wow. One bite there would feel amazing.

"Can I get a kiss?" I teased.

Finnian’s eyes widened.

"You’re shameless," he breathed.

Shameless, my ass. You’re the king of acting cold but begging for attention.

How had I noticed? Everything Finnian did was intentional.

Cool and distant on the surface, slipping in little teasing remarks, pretending to be annoyed—yet leaving his collar wide open, every move designed to catch my eye.

Like right now. His robe had buttons, but he hadn’t fastened a single one.

When it came to playing games, he was better than me.

A treat that walks right to you? It’d be rude not to take it.

I breathed softly against Finnian’s skin, laying on the charm thick.

Finnian was completely flustered. He never expected me to be this bold.

I could see the suspicion in his eyes, as if he was wondering if Silas had taught me this.

The thought made his eyes flash for a split second—but only for a split second. Because my hand moved again, my cool fingertips trailing down from his cheek to his throat.

"Huh?!" Finnian’s face burned bright red.

He looked completely bewildered, as if he was wondering what was wrong with me and what kind of kink this was.

"Elara!"

A single fluffy fox tail burst out behind him, followed by a pair of fox ears. Finnian was bent over in an awkward position, completely embarrassed—but I showed no sign of stopping.
