Chapter 41: Chapter 41: The Unflustered Liu Xiahui

Bai Su flinched back in terror, only to bump into the broad chest of a Bear Beastman behind her.

Her body trembled as she looked in horror at the four men surrounding her.

The Bear Beastmen closed in excitedly. The rich, sweet scent of water-peach in the air was so tantalizing it made their bodies tingle, and they wished they could just go wild on the spot.

They had never seen such a tender-skinned, adorable little female.

Most females in the Interstellar Federation were frail and slender, as if a light squeeze could kill them. They were all skin and bones, hardly appetizing and not at all satisfying.

Not like this one before them. She was a treasure from head to toe, a true gift from the Beast God.

Without even a taste, they could already imagine how ecstatic this little female would be!

Suddenly, Bai Su lunged. With a sharp rock she had hidden in her palm, she stabbed at the eyes of the two Bear Beastmen in front of her. While they screamed and clutched their faces, she shoved them aside and bolted.

The other two Bear Beastmen behind her burst out laughing. "What a bunch of losers, getting pecked by a little rabbit!"

"This makes it even more exciting! I’ve never seen such a spicy female Rabbit Beastman before. I have to get a taste of her today!"

Bai Su ran for her life, her nostrils filled with the scorching air she gasped in.

Her limbs felt weak, but her mind was on high alert, not daring to let her stop.

The air in her lungs dwindled. The intense exertion made her see stars and her head spin. She could barely see the path, relying on pure instinct to run toward the cave entrance.

The voices of the Beastmen behind her grew closer.

Bai Su bit her lip hard, the taste of blood filling her mouth. The sharp pain cleared her head a little, and she gritted her teeth and kept running. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

The Beastmen behind her started to laugh mockingly.

"Poor little thing. We wouldn’t want to hurt you, so stop biting yourself."

"What a delicious little sweetheart. Even her blood tastes sweet. It’s making me thirsty." frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

"The warm-up should be over now, little one."

Suddenly, her tail was grabbed.

Her forward momentum yanked on the captured tail, and the intense pain made her cry out.

"HAHAHAHAHA, even her screams sound so lovely."

The Bear Beastmen roared with laughter. Their leader sent a message to his employer: [The job is done.]

The two Beastmen who had each gotten an eye stabbed out rushed up from behind, furious. "Damn little rabbit, I’m gonna fuck you to death today!"

The enraged Beastman lifted Bai Su high, about to slam her down hard.

The leader was already unbuckling his belt and taking off his clothes. "Brothers, it’s time to eat."

Bai Su was thrown violently toward the wall. She instinctively curled into a ball, her drooping ears covering her eyes.

Her body slammed into a hard embrace.

Bai Su smelled a familiar scent and snapped her eyes open, just in time to see a black fissure in front of her slowly close.

A brilliant, sparkling starry sky was visible within the fissure. In such a desperate situation, its beauty was almost unreal.

The Bear Beastmen had suddenly vanished without so much as a scream.

Bai Su instinctively looked up and saw only Lu Tingyan’s taut jawline. His aura was cold and severe, like that of an enraged beast.

He was holding her like a child, one large hand under her bottom, easily supporting her in the crook of his arm so she could rest against his chest.

He slowly lowered his other hand, and the Tearing Space closed in an instant.

Bai Su stared at him, stunned. ’I never thought the cliché damsel-in-distress trope would actually happen to me.’

Lu Tingyan raised a hand to cup the back of her head, rubbing it gently. His voice was deep, as if he were afraid of scaring her. "Don’t be afraid. It’s over now."

Bai Su began to tremble uncontrollably. She had been holding it together, but his words of comfort made her nose sting, and a nameless sense of grievance erupted.

The little rabbit buried her face in the Snow Wolf’s chest. She wanted to cry but didn’t dare. After being so tense, the sudden release left her body shaking uncontrollably.

Lu Tingyan looked at the person in his arms, his heart still pounding violently.

He’d noticed something was wrong when the signal from her bracelet was blocked.

He had followed her scent all the way here.

If he hadn’t smelled her blood in the air, he might not have found her in time. The consequences would have been unthinkable.

He held the crying little rabbit tighter, closing his eyes to hide the lingering fear in them.

’Since when did Bai Su, this cunning woman, hold such an important place in my heart?’

’My rational mind told me I should let her go and tell her that protecting her was simply my social responsibility as a member of the Federation.’

’But my emotions were reeling with fear. In that instant, when I smelled her blood and her scent of being in heat, I almost went berserk.’

Her cry of alarm had been what pulled him back from the brink of losing control.

In the darkness, all his senses were magnified.

He could clearly feel the frightened little rabbit’s soft, fragrant body resting against him. She clung with the dependence and trust of someone who had just survived a disaster, so fragile it was unbelievable.

In his memory, she was the energetic and decisive owner of a food shop, someone who could handle the fawning attention of numerous males with a calm and composed smile.

Her courage was so great it was almost unbecoming of a Rabbit Beastman.

A complete contrast to how she was today.

He was the only one to see her in this fragile, endearing state. It brought him a strange sense of pleasure, and his mood, quite unscrupulously, relaxed a little.

"Lu Tingyan..." Bai Su had recovered a bit, but her voice still held an uncontrollable sob.

Lu Tingyan looked down at her.

The pitch-black cave would be impossible for an ordinary Beastman to see in, but for a Wolf Beastman skilled in night hunting, it was as bright as day.

He could easily see that her nose and lower eyelids were red from crying out of vulnerability and grievance.

’How pitiful.’

"What is it?" he asked, his voice unconsciously softening with a cautiousness he himself didn’t even notice.

Bai Su sniffled, then suddenly glared at him fiercely. With an incredibly flexible twist of her body, she kicked him in the face, tumbled off him, and scrambled far away, hiding behind a nearby rock wall.

Lu Tingyan touched his face and let out an exasperated laugh. "Bai Su, is this how you treat the person who just saved your life?"

Bai Su hid further back, wary. "You beast! If you dare take advantage of me, I’ll kick you to death!"

Hearing this, Lu Tingyan glanced down at his lower body and couldn’t help but pinch the bridge of his nose. "Is it abnormal to have a reaction to a female in heat?"

The corners of his mouth turned up unconsciously. ’The little rabbit changes her tune so fast.’

’She’s fierce again.’

Bai Su couldn’t help but peek out suspiciously, barely able to make out a tall, dark, blurry figure. "Um..."

Suddenly, an aggressive male scent rushed toward her. The intense, domineering aroma of tequila overwhelmingly crushed the scent of water-peach.

Before Bai Su could even struggle, she was pressed against the cold wall. "Ngh..."

A scorching-hot, broad chest was in front of her, and the bone-chilling rock wall was behind her.

She was squeezed in the middle like a sandwich cookie, and still in heat.

Bai Su wanted to curse.

’What the hell is this plot?’

’Am I some kind of saint who isn’t moved by a handsome man in my arms?’

’Why do the heavens have to test me like this?’

’The truth is, I’m thirsty for a man’s body too, okay?’

Lu Tingyan’s hoarse voice sounded by her ear. "If you don’t find relief during your heat, do you want to burn out?"

Bai Su was on the verge of a breakdown. She desperately wanted to shut Lu Tingyan up and stop his dirty talk.

But his hot breath on her ear made her shiver uncontrollably.

No exaggeration, even a reincarnated god would have to get laid in this situation.
